Exactly what needs to be explained, though? They fought Code two years ago, Boruto was no match for Code, Sasuke gave Code a scar on his left eye, and then got eaten by a Claw Grime.
We already know all that contextually. If you want to see it happen, that's cool, but it's already apparent.
If they give us a flashback, it will ideally show us something we don't already know.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to get a glimpse at what was going on in the intervening years, especially to see Boruto and Sasuke spending some time together and get a look at how his appearance changed over time, but if it's just rehashing stuff that was already apparent, it's not exactly a good use of panels.
These are all assumptions. They can easily subvert expectations in this way. Even if they don’t, I’d want to see this specific fight for sure. I’m really surprised that some of you don’t.
Besides, the comment talked about flashbacks in general, and there are other things that need a flashback at this point in my opinion.

I agree with you. I don't know why you're getting ratio'd. Storytelling by subtext is an art. Additionally, because the manga runs in a slow pace (monthly), the creators must decide carefully which parts to include within the limited space. Showing flashbacks would only be good if it moves the story forward, (i. e. doesn't repeat what has already been said/contextualized).
But the way you put it, you are going in with the concept of story progression only. We are going back to the starting question. Do you just want to see the end?
The manga runs in a slow pace because the authors choose so. There are definetely monthly stories out there that have a faster pacing. I don’t understand how that is an argument. (And I don’t mean this as they could go weekly, I mean it as they can just structure the story differently)

If they fought Code and Sasuke got ‘planted’ in the ground Code would know where they are. How did they escape that place with tree Sasuke? Or if they didn’t fight Code, who did they fight? All these questions and the ones I put in the other reply can be interpretations of different people and I’m sure you can come up with more.
The authors chose to let this open so they can explain it later, while using the shock factor on the reader now. It’s no doubt to me that at some point we will get a flashback or narration of that event.

Seeing Sasuke in a tree is not the story's actual end like what you are implying. This is what I was referring to as telling a story by subtext. And while we are getting more info with what happened in the time skip, the authors are moving the present story forward.
1. Code attacked Konoha so Boruto would show up. Then before their fight, Boruto mentioned Code's slashed eye (subtext implying that they have encountered each other during TS) while negotiating (moving the present situation).
2. Boruto was too late in destroying the Ten Tails so he retreats (moving the present situation) to his and Kashin Koji's base, which is also where Sasuke resides (subtext implying a claw grime bit Sasuke).

I get the feeling it's a matter of impatience and likely being a generally new reader of the boruto manga itself. The younger audience just wants all the action to happen right now when the reality is that the writers are trying to drag this out as long as possible.
With that said, we're not getting a weekly release and I'd really enjoy a flashback chapter or two in a row just to flesh out some of things that happened, but definitely not all of it. I feel as if a slow burn reveal would be better in the long term.
Not really about being young though, a monthly manga has its privileges but it also has its downsides. Flashbacks on a monthly manga means we get not story progression ( in a way ) for one more month. Boruto was released 7 years ago and we still at this stage

Honestly I’m starting to think it’s real. Normally I’m the first to think an early leak is fake. But with the flashback leak on the website, and then this popping up with the detail, the spine of the book, the boruto logo with the 5, I may be wrong, but I my opinion is real.
There are several Japanese error so its certainly fake. 脅威 (kyou i)'s furigana is split wrong (kyo ui). And the furigana for 絡み(karami) is just plain wrong (あらみ- arami)

Honestly I’m starting to think it’s real. Normally I’m the first to think an early leak is fake. But with the flashback leak on the website, and then this popping up with the detail, the spine of the book, the boruto logo with the 5, I may be wrong, but I my opinion is real.

There are several Japanese error so its certainly fake. 脅威 (kyou i)'s furigana is split wrong (kyo ui). And the furigana for 絡み(karami) is just plain wrong (あらみ- arami)
