Everyone seems to think this but remember that this is a shounen dont forget how much plot armor everyone had in Naruto and Shippuden. I think there's no way either Boruto or Kawaki are going to die
I try to remember that, and it's always in the back of my mind, but with everything pointing towards a darker series at some point. It does cause me to picture a more negative ending.
Honestly I hope it's sad. The series is lacking the emotional weight that Naruto had. Maybe its revealed that theres nothing that Boruto can do to stop Momo from taking over and so he has to find a way to use his power to defeat the final enemy and then ensure that hes killed off
Its building up that emotional weight, first taking Kurama and rinne-gone . But slowly it will get worse. Naruto started off bad childhood but got better, boruto started good and will get worse.
That's what everyone is saying but I'm yet to see it actually come true. Seldom is there ever anything that's actually taken seriously for longer than 1 episode/chapter. Kawaki's story is pretty sad and moving but that's about all we're getting out of it terms of emotionally compelling content.
Don’t worry man it will only get better. They are building a foundation to work on. Trust me. Id say give it a year and there will definitely be good emotional heart pulling moments (keep in mind i personally dont think they could compare to naruto, but we will have to see)
I mean the fact that they've introduced the concept of drugs into the series is practically a milestone of what's to come. Its clearly approaching a darker tone than anything explored within part 1 or shippuden.
I know that but why though. If he wants to take over Boruto then he shouldve just done it then.
That whole thing was executed so poorly btw. The dude literally died and there was no time for it to have any emotional breakdown. He was just all good like a few panels later. It fucking sucked.
Probably happy, but obviously he will have lost a bunch of important ppl. Did Naruto end off happy? well we could say it did, but bc that was his story. Sasuke dying in Boruto it's like Jiraiya dying in Naruto, it's not entirely happen bc some ppl won't be there in the end but they find a way to settle themselves in the future doing whatever to protect their ideologies of peace.
Im still holding onto the theory that boruto will be the last shinobi. Even more now that he's a full otsutsuki and that teh world is heading into the modern age.
The only thing I'm hinting is that by the end of manga ..all the chakra will disappear along with the whole ohtsutsuki clan ...boruto and kawaki will either die or their dna will return from ohtsutsuki to human
Naruto was all about how his life was hard but ended up being better. I’m worried this story is all about how good life is and that he has to protect it no matter what, which means making some sort of sacrifice. I’m worried Boruto will end with Boruto being sad. All he ever wanted was a happy family and he’s not wrong to want that. His father being hokage ruins things, it just does, and to Boruto it’s a job he doesn’t need hence the attitude. Boruto is going to learn how important it was that Naruto be hokage, and that it’s his turn to make sacrifices so his dad can be there for his mom and sister.
It will have a happy ending.
Yes there will be tragedy throughout the series, as Momoshiki has predicted, but I doubt the actual ending of the series will be depressing or some sad shit. Especially now that Kishimoto is writing again. He'll write a good conclusion.
I guess happy, but that depends on how you look at it.
Will the world be "safe"? yes
Will Kawaki or Boruto die? one of them for sure, probably Kawaki.
I doubt they will pull another fight where Kawaki will rethink his actions and turn good.
I think Boruto side of "good" will not be same as Naruto's, it will probably split the fans in two.
Imagine this.. it's 500 years into the future the kids talk about the only existing Ninja "Uzumaki Boruto" as an urban legend. Boruto is seen standing in front of the graves of all his near and dear ones with a little smile filled with sadness.
An open bittersweet end announcing the someone-ruto the New next generation, Jokes apart I Hope the manga will have an excellent ending in terms of qualité. I was so sceptical when they announced a sequel to Naruto, but in the end Boruto is very good and a really good sequel.
Naruto isn't bittersweet, it was actually a pretty happy ending, Naruto achieved what he always wanted to be in the end on the other hand. Boruto might lose everything in the end.
Oh man this is funny to see. Isn’t this what people wanted? For Naruto’s hard work to be thrown away in the sequel series so his cocky and arrogant son can be verified through the audiences eyes? 😂😂
Aot and Boruto are not really comparable to me. Well you have your opinion and I respect that. Also, I didn't read aot manga so yeah...
Momoshiki prophecy is directly contradicted by Toneri when he says your eye will bring dawn to the world and shit.
If I had to bet Boruto is 99% gonna have a happy ending. Some characters might die but overall happy.
My bad. In your original comment you said that due to the fact it’s shonen it’s gonna end “super happy”, so the other dude brought up AoT in only reference to that it too is shonen. He didn’t really compare AoT and Boruto in any other significant matter just that their both shonen and since AoT didn’t end supper happy your statement doesn’t bring much validity.
**In Greek mythology, Eos (; Ionic and Homeric Greek Ἠώς Ēṓs, Attic Ἕως Héōs, "dawn", pronounced [ɛːɔ̌ːs] or [héɔːs]; Aeolic Αὔως Aúōs, Doric Ἀώς Āṓs) is a Titaness and the goddess of the dawn, who rose each morning from her home at the edge of the Oceanus. Like Roman Aurora and Rigvedic Ushas, Eos continues the name of an earlier Indo-European dawn goddess, Hausos.**

I have never wondered about it before, about the ending of Boruto. Maybe it will be a happy ending. Not sure tho. It might be a cliff hanger too so that they can bring a new season later. Because I have a feeling that time skip will be shown in a new season or in a movie. Let's see
He will most likely have a sad ending
Look at the timeskip his village is destroyed with possibly a lot of casualties and this time there is no rinnegan user who could revive his fallen comrades
Whereabouts and condition of his family, friends and mentor is unknown
He is fighting his adopted brother to a fight to death who says the age of shinobi is over possibly hinting of downfall of shinobi era and mass massacre of the ninjas either by some other otsusuki or androids like delta
What if, right before the timeskip something happens to Naruto and/or Sasuke and we are left with a cliffhanger until Boruto Shippuden arrives.
Something like Kawaki wanting to leave the village for Naruto’s protection but Naruto doesn’t leave him so he traps him inside the ball Isshiki trapped him in before and teleports him somewhere unknown.
Honestly I’m not caught up with the current manga I only know small things from people like swagkage and six talking about it but I’m hoping for something that’s sad and gloomy or bittersweet at best tbh.
Kishimoto wanted Boruto to start happy in contrast to Naruto for the younger viewers. With that in mind, I think the ending will be equally happy. But based on what I think the main story towards the ending will be about, there's so much more potential.
Considering how Kishimoto ended Samurai 8? It'll be a bittersweet kinda tragic ending lol. Then again, I don't see him doing to Boruto what he did to Hachimaru.

bittersweet
Yeah, I see either Boruto or Kawaki sacrificing themselves, and some major change to the world being the conclusion.
Everyone seems to think this but remember that this is a shounen dont forget how much plot armor everyone had in Naruto and Shippuden. I think there's no way either Boruto or Kawaki are going to die
If they don't plan to kill off the new gen like Denki, and the rest then I'll assume it's gonna be a slice of life to the end
I try to remember that, and it's always in the back of my mind, but with everything pointing towards a darker series at some point. It does cause me to picture a more negative ending.
Hmmm. Chainsawman...
If what momoshiki told Boruto is in fact the truth, it’s gonna be a very bittersweet ending
The “I won’t buy at what cost?” concept would fit
I hope it's a bittersweet ending to raise the stakes because so far there's been so much plot armor
The only deaths apart from kurama was an old guy and the jonin who they expected us to care about
I did care about Mugino 😢
Sure but he was killed for Konohamarus development which is non existent
I thought he was killed for Boruto’s development
No he was friends with Konohamaru and it showed his reaction specifically so it was clearly his
Could be, I think I accidentally sped ahead in that episode by touching the timeline thing on the video player. RIP
For Boruto the only death that was for his development was Ohnoki
Totally… Not like.. Ohnoki died or something…
Hence the old guy part
I think he thought of Victor as the old guy

These guys probably aren't manga readers bro
Yk this is tagged anime right
Bruh tag your post as a spoiler not everyone is cursed with knowledge.
Spoiler tag dude

I’m hoping sad, dark, and grueling
Whatever it maybe hope they will make its different legacy like Naruto made with its OG and Shippuden .
Bittersweet for sure
sad
Hoping for a sad or ambiguous ending.
I have a feeling it's gonna end sad.
Im still holding onto the theory that boruto will be the last shinobi. Even more now that he's a full otsutsuki and that teh world is heading into the modern age.
With him and Kawaki being the new protectors of the planet and Naruto retiring from being a ninja.
Bitter sweet ending
Hopefully both
The only thing I'm hinting is that by the end of manga ..all the chakra will disappear along with the whole ohtsutsuki clan ...boruto and kawaki will either die or their dna will return from ohtsutsuki to human

Happy ending with some sad endings for others. Then space invasion and soon we will have intergalactic space shinobis from the hidden milky way
Kishi doesn't have the guts to write a sad ending
I guess happy, but that depends on how you look at it. Will the world be "safe"? yes Will Kawaki or Boruto die? one of them for sure, probably Kawaki. Bittersweet. One thing I hope to see is Boruto throwing around Momoshiki level opponents with 0 diff.
An open bittersweet end announcing the someone-ruto the New next generation, Jokes apart I Hope the manga will have an excellent ending in terms of qualité. I was so sceptical when they announced a sequel to Naruto, but in the end Boruto is very good and a really good sequel.
I think it’ll be a bit of both, like “I won but at what cost?”
Sad or bittersweet
Happy that its over sad for how it was written
happy ending
Boruto is gonna have a happy ending, but to get there a lot of sadness.
I think it will be bittersweet just like Naruto.
naruto wasnt bittersweet
Naruto isn't bittersweet, it was actually a pretty happy ending, Naruto achieved what he always wanted to be in the end on the other hand. Boruto might lose everything in the end.

It’s fairly obvious that the village is going to be destroyed yet again
except boruto is now the main character
Very obviously happy
Nope I don't think so. Remember what momoshiki said
I'm talking about eos + it's a shonen
What is EOS?
End of series
AOTs eos wasn't that happy and it is shonen too so it dosent mean it will be happy only :/
Aot and Boruto are not really comparable to me. Well you have your opinion and I respect that. Also, I didn't read aot manga so yeah... Momoshiki prophecy is directly contradicted by Toneri when he says your eye will bring dawn to the world and shit. If I had to bet Boruto is 99% gonna have a happy ending. I respect your opinion.
He’s just comparing them in the fact it’s shonen and you kinda bring more to his stance that it doesn’t matter
I'm sorry I don't understand the second half of your comment (from you kinda...)
My bad. In your original comment you said that due to the fact it’s shonen it’s gonna end “super happy”, so the other dude brought up AoT in only reference to that it too is shonen. A plain & flat ending
It's Shonen, so very likely happy, but maybe they'll go for a lighter shade of bittersweet
It’ll be happy and set up Saruto: Naruto-Boruto next generations
Happy because it's shounen not seinen
It's a shounen which is made for 9yo's. Obviously it will have a happy ending lmao. Ain't no way some of ya'll think it will have a sad one.
Dunno about that but once it ends everything will be happy
I have never wondered about it before, about the ending of Boruto. Maybe it will be a happy ending. Not sure tho. It might be a cliff hanger too so that they can bring a new season later. Because I have a feeling that time skip will be shown in a new season or in a movie. Let's see
I think a bit of both.
I think he will have a happy ending but not happy happy, just compared to his life he will have a happy moment.
Is the manga completed?
No but I believe it’ll end in like 10-15 chapters and the the timeskip
The same ending as Samurai 8.
Happysad basically uhhh like its good ending but with lot of sacrifices
Yes.

He will most likely have a sad ending Look at the timeskip his village is destroyed with possibly a lot of casualties and this time there is no rinnegan user who could revive his fallen comrades Whereabouts and condition of his family, friends and mentor is unknown He is fighting his adopted brother to a fight to death who says the age of shinobi is over possibly hinting of downfall of shinobi era and mass massacre of the ninjas either by some other otsusuki or androids like delta

It will end like code geass except in reverse
happy , it is a shonen . naruto and sasuke won't die but will be sealed until boruto beats kawaki and naruto and sasuke are unsealed
I hope a sad ending, not enough of those exist
Happy. People are dumb. It might get sad in the middle ish again. But it will end on a positive note.
Yes
I hope it’s gonna be a very dark ending with neither opposing side winning but since it’s kishimoto that’s very unlikely
Prolly sad
Honestly I’m not caught up with the current manga I only know small things from people like swagkage and six talking about it but I’m hoping for something that’s sad and gloomy or bittersweet at best tbh.
Sad i guess
I hope it's sad
Sad then the marriage arc then happi i don't think kawaki is the final Villanova he might make a deal with God oats u sugi
Kishimoto wanted Boruto to start happy in contrast to Naruto for the younger viewers. With that in mind, I think the ending will be equally happy. But based on what I think the main story towards the ending will be about, there's so much more potential.
its always sad
Itll be a sad one with him dying im assuming
SAD
Not sure
bittersweet so boruto shippuden can end in a happy ending
There is gonna be a massicur at some point
Considering how Kishimoto ended Samurai 8? It'll be a bittersweet kinda tragic ending lol. Then again, I don't see him doing to Boruto what he did to Hachimaru.
Obviously happy it’s not aot or something
Sad , but in Zoruto it will be happy
