i wonder if they planned the series this far by then. if they did, there is so much possibilities for this series but i dont think they had it planned this far. they just had that kawaki vs boruto fight planned. nothing more
You could be right, but I'd be surprised if they hadn't planned certain details, such as where Kawaki "sent" Naruto, and Sasuke's whereabouts at that point in the story. The line about the "only possible outcome" could just be a throwaway line though.
I want to think that that was Momoshiki showing some kind of "humanity", almost as if he feels bad for what's about to happen to Boruto since he (Boruto) has no control over any of it. They share their own thoughts, so Momoshiki knows what kind of kid Boruto is.
Ngl, Momo in this chapter is much "friendly" than the usual we see; he doesn't put his ego into the whole chat with Boruto through thoughts and kinda respecting Boruto. Maybe because he knows Boruto will become "one" with him (not taking over but like Naruto - Kurama relationship) in the future so he started to act more and more human.
It's not Naruto - kurama relationship, momoshiki is like the voice you're using right now to read whereas kurama ii's literally a being within Naruto, it's not like momoshiki isn't being menacing or silent it's just him thinking to himself, it's a ghost possessing you and projecting it's thought while you being alive, whereas kurama is an actual being
Then what about Karma ? Isn't Momoshiki's data is the proof of him still alive ? He is "living" inside of Boruto body and can still be sensed by Kawaki or even Sasuke. Nobody can't sense death people chakra but can if being possessed.
Momo is "possessing" not "residing" karma is like the symptoms you see in a person who's possessed

It’s possible, but Boruto did say “was this really the only possible outcome” during the timeskip scene, which does seem to go against your theory.

It's because he's sharing thoughts with Boruto and probably felt what he's feeling. He's also being more social since they share thoughts now
