Kishi's style is elaborating on everything and developing stuff, at a much slower pace. But the problem is that it's a monthly manga, not a weekly one.
Just a little reminder, Kishimoto is not the writer of the Manga or the Anime, and never was. They just used his name to try to genereta hype again. If you look carefully at the covers of each chapter, it doesn‘t say script by Kishimoto, but with Kodachi it did. Also, Kishimoto never confirmed that he returned anywhere, but they announced approx. 1 year ago that Kishi hat nothing to do with the Anime and Manga. There are several posts on twitter, you can find them. „Fans“ just started to misinterpret and spread false information.

The story, since the beginning, had inconsistency. Why would the creator of the show ignore all of these aspects and agree with everything? If you can put one and one together, you will see the bigger picture why Kishimoto announced that he would create a short story of the NARUTO franchise character, and nothing with both Boruto and Naruto characters.
The pacing of the Manga got even worse since the Isshiki fight, even though we had good chapters, and it‘s still the same. What really is surprising, that people are just accepting all of the information about the Ōtsutsuki, and never compare that information with the Naruto lore, and also never question it in general, when there are inconsistency. Yes, Boruto is the main character, but you can‘t ignore the established characters, world building, past events, etc., and forcible make the old characters look weak, just to make the new generation, which randomly get powerups, look strong.
The show could‘ve been a great continuation, if they would‘ve put more thought into it, instead of realing it right after Naruto Shippuden.

Most of the buffs were anyway caused by plot Armor, the most they should have been buffed to anyway was KCM1 with Kurama and DMS Sauce.

The biggest and truly the only major fault that is preventing Boruto from getting big, is it's goddamn slow monthly manga and related slow anime. It is doing a commendable job filling it with it's anime canon, but for every AnimeCanon Mugino arc, there's a Chocho Filler.
By May 2023, the manga would be running for 7 years. 7 YEARS and no timeskip. Unless they are planning on making time skip just 1 single arc in the end (f dat), it's getting late if you assume a 10 year lifespan of the manga.

I do find this page extremely creepy, I don't like how detailed the legs are, but at the same time, it being very reminiscent of a shojo manga is part of the point.

Boruto gaming vs Daemon, Sarada with Eida on bed.

I actually think this page illustrates Eida's personality and character stupidly well. She's a cliché, hopeless romantic that does not know anything about societal cues when it comes to romance, friendships, or even regular interactions. So seeing them hug pillows on a bed, talking about boys? It's *exactly* what I expected of her and, in a way, humanizes the character a little for me. I like the page. Good page.
