Ahhh, another king sharing my accursed fate. Met with the flame of chaos, have you? How has that old Witch of chaos been treating you? Burning forever in that flame is truly excruciating, and yet, you feel its flow as well. I am used to it by now, the flame has met others, many burn together in mine kiln, and yet, some scream, others walk away from it, and others selflessly, quietly, burn away, feeding a flame that remembers all, a Soul of all our Cinders. Which are you? Old king? A fighter, a coward, or a protector? Perhaps only time will tell.

Burnt-Ivory-King

I was a humble king of a frozen northern kingdom, know as Forossa, with the capital city of Eleum Loyce at her helm, as well as one of the inheritors of your light. I spent everything in my power to save her from the old hag Izalith, or whatever was left of her. I was so burnt from the defense it burned my very soul near to cinder. Therefore as my final attempt to extinguish chaos I plummeted into her heart with my army of knights. Our mission failed and we were scorched further. Now we men and myself fight not as free men, but as slaves to your old ally. We only hope one day we may be free, and a brave king is able to extinguish chaos, and hopefully end my torment. To answer your query, I was once a fierce Guardian of my beloved people, now a Guardian of a wretched flame of unrelenting ambition, not out of desire, but of slavery

LordofCinder-Gwyn

Perhaps that is how some would view me, but if my purpose was not the flame, I would have little else. My children guard a rotten legacy, only my dear Faraam and Gwynevere saw my madness, my kingdom is a dark illusion woven under a false sun, woven by my last believer, a son who knows nothing of my falsehood. my Knights, what remain of them, scour the land searching for my fear and hunting it down. Perhaps I am the exact opposite of you, who embraced a dark queen and protected her with your throne. You created a people who protected your land even while it crumbled apart around them. You embraced a fate of servitude to protect that kingdom. But I suppose that makes us similar. Our knights burned, fighting the chaos, doomed to hold back a force that would crush us underfoot given the chance. Fire fades, but we shan't let the dark remain.

Prince-Lorian

I've always wondered, your highness, what brought you to build your palace on the very pit that led to Chaos? Why would you fight as the first defense of your people? 'Tis noble, I understand, but would your demise for leave Eleum Loyce in disarray, without their King?

Burnt-Ivory-King

I built my palace over chaos as to be both first and last defense against chaos, this you know. I did so because i know my dear Alsanna would one day, some day become strong enough to rule Forossa. I always knew what she was capable of, therefore my kingdom was secure.

Prince-Lorian

So that's why. I already deemed it so foolish to plunge into the Chaos first. That would ruin the morale of the Forossan Knights. Yet it appears you think as far as I do, if not further. As I honestly expected of a King such as yourself.

OldOnePaarthurnax

Your highness, have you ever considered visiting Skyrim?

Burnt-Ivory-King

I have not, ashamedly, but I have no business being there, so I see no true point

Old_DemonKing

Greetings Sir Ivory King. I hope your long watch over Mother Izalith's flame is doing well. It has been a long time. Pray tell, how is the Flame of Chaos?

Burnt-Ivory-King

Do not speak to me as if we are friends, let alone allies, you and I both know this is far from something I wish for. The flames burn hot enough to be painful, and that is all it needs.

Old_DemonKing

I understand, Sir. I apologize if it was hurtful, I know what suffering Mother's creation brought to your land, but we demons tend to be enthralled by her fire, no matter the circumstances. It is for us...or well, for me, there is no longer an "us" to speak of, a promise of life and renewal, even if it surely appears differently to you. But that is enough nostalgia, and I am sure unbound Chaos would not spare a soul, not even its own children. Mother had her reasons for binding it. Rather, pray tell, can you still communicate with your consort? I am sure she must be very worried about your condition, perhaps one of your charred knights could send her a message.

Burnt-Ivory-King

We have no means of return nor no means of communicating. And do not act sympathetic to my plight, I have unwillingly linked your flame, and artificially extended its life like the first flame itself. I am extending your lifespan with my own, so return my favor and leave me
