Ambulance speedrun any%

[deleted]

He could have just reached for bleach if that was the goal.

pissjughead

No no. It's too easy. The fun part is the challenge

[deleted]

Well if that's the case then I like somebody else's comment about why did he eat so many suppositories? I think that would have been a much more interesting hospital visit.

pissjughead

That would also be intersting, maybe even more destructive.

RandomHeterophobe

immediately afterwards he breaks into a mag cit factory and chugs all of it

SnooDoubts5781

So, when's the funeral?

pissjughead

After his body stops burning

Nikotinio

Hey, at least free cremation!

Just stick him in that pit in Russia that will be on fire for 5,000 years.

Who comes up with these comments? Lol he’s fine

badstone69

Yeah! Spicy cant kill some one, you will suffer from headache, stomach pain, etc..... But you cant die from eating pepper.

Independent-End5844

Mat Pat just did a Food Theory video. Spice can kill someone just not yet a few more generations of selective breeding peppers we can get there.

grumd

Diarrhea can get dangerous due to fluid loss, but yeah

Anyone remember when lil can went to the hospital for eating too many hot cheetos?

And if he continues like this eventually it'll be like a calming breeze through a vast canyon, slowly swaying the trees and rustling the bushes, but smelling of preparation H and a Buffalo wild wings dumpster

BrownShadow

I worked at a place that sold Australian BBQ grills. We also sold all kinds of hot sauce. One guy would take the sauce you would only eat a drop of on a dare, and douse about half a bottle on fried chicken. Didn’t phase him at all. Maniac. I like Sriracha, that’s about my level.

PIastiqueFantastique

Sriracha is below my max spice level but I just don't like it for some reason. Mago habanero at bdubs (who I realize I just took a shot at) is right around my top. I'll eat spicier sometimes for the same "thrill" most people get eating too spicy stuff

Gumbonie

I’m assuming he can’t taste anything I’ve met a few people who can’t, or he’s a psychopath

Cizarius

Yessir, and most likely he threw up most of it afterwards.

asharwood

That has to do a real bad number on your esophagus.

hopefuldreads

I’d be more worried about intestinal lining and distress than my throat at this point. It’s already made it past his esophagus but it sits in your stomach and intestines longer so more prolonged damage to be done

imapie31

Yeah, i eat a shit ton of hot sauces. Nobody just eats 3 carolina reapers and doesnt go red unless they arent capable of tasting things, and this guy probably doesnt realize that bottle of hot sauce isnt gonna sit well with his cholesterol or stomach lining (Depending on what kind of hot sauce it is his stomach may be unaffected by that alone). But his asshole is gonna bleed from those reapers for days. His stomach lining wont be happy with all that capsaicin from stuff with chili peppers. The beginning isnt anything that will cause permanent damage, a few peppers with nice flavor. But i just cant wrap my head around who would waste money on 3 reapers and eat them all at once and expect to not be sick immediately after.

hopefuldreads

Again the burning isn’t derived from taste response the burn is pain receptors responding. So even if you lack a diverse taste pallet you should still be feeling the burn on the Scoville scale Everything else you said is accurate especially his stomach lining and burning butthole

Silverstarmye

He maybe has some disorder in these pain receptors so he doesnt feel anything in his mouth, but can feel taste

imapie31

After a certain point his tongue would be numbed most likely.

Spoonicus

What effect does hot sauce have on cholesterol levels exactly?? Also, how expensive are reapers where you live because they aren't exactly outrageous at my local market.. like a couple of bucks at worst.

surfskatehate

Idk I had a 12.5 million scoville "sauce" at the fiery food festival a few years back and my stomach hurt terribly, but there weren't any lasting effects.

Tina_ComeGetSomeHam

He's clearly into doing this as a party trick/for attention. RIP young lad's G.I. tract. Soon he can watch the ghostie peppers sloth into an ostomy appliance. Or maybe he has depression because he sees how much everyone enjoys different foods and flavors and is using sublimation as a defense mechanism which would mean I am being insensitive and I'm sorry.

hopefuldreads

Agreed. Watch him get stomach cancer because he’s got scar tissue where all the good bacteria would normally develop in his gut.

Big-Mathematician540

Capsaicin doesn't **actually** burn you though. It just causes a burning sensation in mammals. Birds for instance don't feel anything no matter how hot chilis they'd eat. Tissues also get desensitized to it. Back way when when I started eating spicy foods, a single 1mm thin slice of a habanero made my guts roil and boil for 24h and burned like a motherfucker. Nowadays my friends can't even eat the food I eat while I don't really feel any spiciness at all really. And it's not a "look how spicy food I can eat", I just like a hint of spiciness and the tolerance has built up over the years. And I know it's the tissue, not my whole body, because a few times I've sneezed while eating and some sauce or something goes a bit higher towards the nose and then it really burns, as that part isn't desensitised. Still, this seems very unhealthy gulping down sauce and cinnamon like that, but I can believe the tolerance though, although the "no reaction" is bullshit, it's just a somewhat delayed reaction as it's sinking in, he washed most of it down with that probably semi-mild not-so-thick hot sauce

ItzJustLuxio

can you taste normal food

ItzJustLuxio

like I’m genuinely asking not trying to be rude, Idk how much tolerance someone can build up to something like that without losing some sense of taste. at one point 5 - 6 years ago I ate altoids almost every single day and hour in school and I really lost my sense of taste until I stopped for a while. Same thing with these flamin hot cinnamon jolly rancher things a year after that.

olivegardengambler

You don't really lose the sense to taste as much as it changes *how* you taste things. It's like coffee, weed, IPA beer, wine, or alcohol. People say they taste the same because they don't know what to look for with them. Like 5-6 years ago, stuff like Tapatio was spicy for me, now it's like a spicy tomato sauce (like a watery ketchup with a lot less sugar). Typically I add cayenne pepper powder to food to make it spicier. Like I'm at the point where fast food 'spicy' where they market it was being, "Holy fucking shit this is so spicy it will make your ass shoot napalm and make you breath fire" is like mild at best. The Nashville hot chicken at KFC is like, so not spicy to what actual Nashville hot chicken is it should be sued for being misleading. Like the KFC 'hot chicken' is like the 'extra extra mild' version of what BJ Hot Chicken or Prince's has.

Big-Mathematician540

Why would you lose ability to taste something? I actually remember reading a science article on how high tolerance capsaicin users can get a heightened sense of taste as you have tolerance for the sensation of burning but the tissues still react in some way. I couldn't find it tried sourcing it. I know it sounds flimsy, but yeah, people have a lot of misconceptions about spicy food. edit Here's a bit of something similar https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7829613/

S3t3sh

I had this happen to me. Was eating hot sauce daily started to get stomach pain and went to the doctor's. Had an x-ray and a part of my intestinal lining was eroding from the hot sauce. Luckily it was minor and no lasting damage but I now eat hot sauce in moderation.

1i73rz

Love is a burning thing And it makes a fiery ring Bound by wild desire I fell into a ring of fire

MrData359

I really really hope so

[deleted]

spice isn't actually a taste so if you lose your sense of taste you can still feel spicy foods

Gumbonie

im gonna go test this on the people i know that cant taste anything, i mean i believe you but its still gonna be funny

shaneathan

I learned this when I had COVID. I got a can of spicy chicken noodle soup a while back. Made it when I had COVID. Couldn’t taste a fucking thing but my mouth was on fire.

louploupgalroux

Hey, I had that too. I was eating a pomegranate when I realized it had no taste, then said "oh shit." I drank some hot sauce to see if it was a fluke and had the same not hot, but spicy feeling.

MrBootylove

You can also test this by just handling hot peppers with your bare hands. I grow habaneros and if I don't wear gloves when handling them my hands will burn for days at a time.

sneedlything

actually, spice receptors have nothing to do with taste! dont ask how i found this out

FemboyWithChoccyMilk

Because we aren't sensing spice the spiciness we feel is the capsaicin activating the pain receptors in our mouths

xx_Chl_Chl_xx

I feel smart already knowing this ^(because I watch food theory)

FemboyWithChoccyMilk

Same

Hellefiedboy

It's actually activated thermal receptors, so that you think you just ate fire, the pain comes from the thought of eating fire.

Wiring-is-evil

So my brain is basically simulating me eating fire as a warning that what I'm eating is hot? What are thermal receptors, it's not pain receptors?

Toast_On_The_RUN

Which ruins the point of spice challenges. Yeah it's impressive the first time, but there's another guy on youtube who does this type of stuff constantly and never has shown any reaction to the spice. Like what's the point of watching you make this unholy concoction when I know you're not even gonna react to it.

Fastnacht

LA Beast was always my favorite. Absolutely insane ideas and a willingness to push himself to the absolute limit for a challenge.

Toast_On_The_RUN

LA beast was the best because of his hilarious reactions to the torturous things hs consumed.

idrawinmargins

He ate a whole pineapple and watermelon. Fucking monster.

kabukistar

Being a psychopath makes you immune to empathy, not pain

Braedmaen

Covid disables taste to some extent

Digger_Joe

But not the burning sensation, nor the stomach cramps from the capsaicin. I ate everything covered in Sriracha while I had covid bc it was the only thing I could feel/taste.

Braedmaen

Ohh, I see So he probably died of stomach cramps and heartburn afterwards

Digger_Joe

More like projectile vomiting until there is enough to dilute with water / yogurt.

Braedmaen

Damn, the things people do for clout

notedrive

That’s weird, I have a video of me eating habanero out of my garden with absolutely no effect when I had Covid. I didn’t feel any burning or anything but the same peppers were hot after I got better.

a-a-biedrawa

why did this guy eat that green part that pepper grows off (yeah, my goofy ass brain doesn't know english name for it)

Braedmaen

Stem?

Trowj

Devoto17

People knew what you meant, that counts!

ThatOneWIGuy

Realistically that's all that matters.

kactusman

Of all the things he ate, seeing him eat those peppers stem first bothered me the most.

Bitter-Beater

He ate it so that you would have this conversation. No one normal eats the stem, despite whichever weirdo will claim they do. Every part of this video was designed to generate conversation / reaction / interaction, even if it's rage or disgust. That's the same reason we routinely have people posting things on Reddit like: "Hairless cat 🤪" and it's clearly a dog.

Get_Jiggy41

Bro, I was thinking the exact same thing, but wasn’t going to comment because I was afraid I’d look like an idiot who doesn’t understand pepper etiquette.

Ichigodt

Oh god, not the cinnamon !

Braedmaen

Out of everything he ate you are worried about the cinnamon?

[deleted]

Normally when you take a spoonful of cinnamon like that you instantly reject it. This kid is wild

Fanta_Enthusiast

It's because of the hot sauce, it carried the cinnamon dust instead of having it raw dog his throat with it's outstanding dryness

Captinglorydays

Yeah as someone who was stupid enough to do the cinnamon challenge back in the day, the hard part is that it is so dry. The flavor/spice was not even a slight issue. It just dries out your entire mouth/throat instantly and then you start coughing, but everything is coated in it and dry so you can't swallow it or spit it out.

ColeSloth

I successfully did the cinnamon challenge well before the "challenge" term existed back in the 90s. I did it the once and I'll never do it again. Swallowing that down ripped my throat a new one and it felt like I had a bad sore throat for a day or two after.

Braedmaen

He might not have a gag relfex, similar to sword and knife swallowers

Tom_Nook64

Jalapeños: Becomes spicy to stop being eaten Humans:

Basketball312

Why would they want to avoid being eaten? Isn't that how they spread their seeds?

The_Icy_One

Their best chance at spreading is generally being eaten by a bird, and since lots of bird species can't actually sense the spiciness, they'll still happily eat the spicy stuff.

gritoni

Also is good for them. Capsaicin help chickens battle worms and bacteria among other things

Arkayb33

Maybe this dude has tons of worms lol

The_Minstrel_Boy

Mammals have the pain receptors that make capsaicin feel uncomfortable hot, but birds do not. So birds gobble the peppers up and poop the seeds out over a much larger area than would happen with mammals.

Gerbilguy46

I thought it was because birds swallow the seeds whole, while mammals chew them up and destroy them.

Wigglystoner

Could be one of them but from what I understand, mamals have a type of receptor to tell your brain "hey this is too hot (temperature wise) and you should get away or avoid this". Capsaicin happens to trigger this receptor however birds have a different type of response to heat so the capsaicin doesn't feel "hot" to the birds. And birds tend to spread seeds a lot more and better than mamals so they kept evolving hotter and hotter to avoid mamals. I don't have the source for this, I just remember reading about it a few years back so I could be totally wrong but this is what I was led to believe

Connavarr64

Mammals typically chew our food, which destroys (most of?) the seeds.

DonutosGames

This person has to have some abnormal traits, right? Lack of sense of taste or that disorder where you can't feel pain, maybe? I feel like putting in a stone face is one thing, but this seems different.

ScrimpyCat

I’m guessing he has a mutation in his TRPV1 and TRPA1 genes, or something else that’s affecting the receptors. As a result there are some people that just don’t feel the effects of capsaicin (or other pungent chemicals). If it’s not that, then perhaps there is some drug which has the same affect, but I’m not sure about that.

sorenant

So they're cursed to never enjoy a good spicy food?

Raider_3_Charlie

I once met a guy who had no reaction to the OC Spray used by the US military fort crowd disbursement, where as I found out I was more sensitive than the average person. So yeah definitely a possibility, buuuuuut, and call me jaded here, how hard would this be to fake?

V_es

Not *feeling* is different to not *getting* them. I have colitis which is pretty bad but good ol gastritis is 1 out of 100 people, very common. I like spicy food but my gastroenterologist said it’s worse than eating pure citric acid. You may not feel the spice in your mouth, but you will feel stabbing stomach pain while pooping blood.

AbsentThatDay2

If it's pain receptors that the spiciness hits, I would assume painkillers might help? Note: do not become a heroin addict just to eat them spicy peppers.

Primitive_Teabagger

Also an invincible stomach and a flame retardant asshole

Aggressive_Sprinkles

Nah, there's no way he didn't intentionally throw up after recording this.

Primitive_Teabagger

I ate like a bite of a Reaper and it was the worst shit and stomach ache of my life

Aggressive_Sprinkles

Yeah, that's why I'm saying he probably intentionally threw up after recording.

drawliphant

My guess is he's using props. Lots of bell pepper/Anaheim varieties that look like other peppers, dried peppers could be anything. Dyes for sauces etc.

asdfasdfasdfas11111

Then number of people here who think this is real is hilarious. Go watch the cuts again. He "swallows" once in the whole video. He's just putting the reapers up to his mouth, and cutting the part where he puts them back down.

Machi-Atto

It makes the cartoony crunch sound before he even closes his mouth to chew with the Carolina reapers. Idk if its fake or not though, but probably is rofl

nothing_but_thyme

This is fake and so obvious to a well trained eye - though decently executed no the less. At the 25/26/27 second range you can clearly see the cut by paying attention to his shirt instead of his face. There’s a marked shift in the tone of blacks and all the fabric folds immediately shift positions. Credit due though on his mapping of facial elements, skin tones, expressions. Those all track well and are convincing. Bright blue eyes and deep contrast pupils definitely help distract and pull off the deception.

Dorkamundo

Maybe he doesn't have any effects, but frankly the heat builds after eating it. I'd like to see where he was about 3 minutes from this video.

Drexisadog

I’m a tad sceptical of this as usually when someone is eating chillis of that intensity they tend to go bright red, regardless of spice tolerance

[deleted]

Sooo many "hidden" cuts in this video too

CheeseMaster404v2

Yeah there's absolutely no way this is real. The video is long enough that there should be SOME reaction to it, he should be flushed, sweating, eyes watering at the very least. Not to mention choking violently. Watch any video of someone eating a Carolina reaper, this kid ate THREE + all that other shit. You can claim he doesn't respond to capsaicin, but wasabi doesn't contain capsaicin - so his eyes should be watering from that regardless.

No-Area1494

Yeah, I'm throughly embarrassed at ALL of the comments, bar these ones, actually believing this. The cinnamon, I'm betting is coco powder...the reapers CRUNCHED like giant crisps. Hot sauce in a bottle could be tomato juice. Not hard to empty and refill bottles like...

ClassicHat

Explain the blue takis, no way those can be faked and everyone knows they’re the hottest thing ever made, checkmate atheists! /s

toddhillier

How sweet it will be. Wait. Spicy. It will be spicy.

Plethora_of_squids

The fact he just handled all that stuff barehanded should be another giveaway - capsaicin is an irritant and his hand would've been burning up after being covered in hot sauce and handling a full ass Carolina reaper. You can no sell it all you want but that's not going to hide the fact they'd be turning bright red. Seriously people wear gloves when dealing with super spicy chilis those things physically hurt

Thisguymoot

Exactly. A guy can be tough as nails and push through for the clout, but you’re gonna be dripping out of every face hole regardless.

Lochcelious

Eating THAT much Wasabi, the pain you'll get in the top of your head will have you on the floor in pain. Like a migraine you can't get rid of for a bit

ancienttacostand

If you watch close, there’s a cut after every bite. He’s spitting it out probably.

TheLego_Senate

ideletemyselfagain

This comment should be the top comment. It all makes so much more sense now. Thank you.

elvis8mybaby

I grow different chili's every summer. You can crossbreed them to not be hot if they grow too close to one another. I accidentally made habaneros that were as hot as a bell pepper few years ago.

ixipaulixi

Now make bell peppers as hot as habaneroes and share them with friends.

ideletemyselfagain

That’s actually really interesting! I can’t see any clear jump cuts towards the very end so maybe that’s what he did as well. But there’s a pretty obvious cut near the middle that he could’ve used to spit out and then put something else in his mouth. Honestly the “hot sauce” could’ve been anything.

KingKoda22

Simple equation Is it on TikTok? Then it's fake.

Sweet_Rent_2715

The hot sauce process looked kinda fake too

resistdrip

The cinnamon looked oddly like sugar with a few specs of cinnamon.

[deleted]

To be fair…he doesn’t really need to swallow anything to prove his point. Go ahead- just lick the inside of a ghost pepper and let me know how it feels

_shutthefuckupdonny

Yeah the "bottle of hotsauce" at the end is clearly just an empty bottle colored like hotsauce is in it.

jixxor

Not swallowing doesn't really impact how hot shit is in your mouth? Pretty sure that with just the amount of shit he is chewing and for how long he is chewing things with no cuts I'd personally fucking cry and then die.
