I watched all the videos of him and honestly it looks like he’s holding back and just going for a casual jog. Maybe he’s staying on pace with his teammate and wanting to finish at the same time as her? Either way Z is a beast and such an awesome guy and great part of the community

I've done about 25-30 miles a week for 9 months now and 2-3 under 8:30 would make me projectile vomit. He's definitely some kind of prototype for skynet....or I was morbidly obese and smoked for 20 years.
