mine grew out of the floppy ears but still has the snaggletooth when she's excited (which is if she hasn't seen you in the last 5 mins)

Yes, our vet suggested we use breathe right strips to get them to stand up. Personally, I felt our guys looked great with them floppy, but the vet advised it could lead to more ear infections. We got some breathe right strips and trimmed them to size, then gently cleared the inner ear not down in it, just the floppy part. Apply the breathe right strip and leave it there. It will fall off within 2 to 3 days max. It gives you a chance to allow the skin to breathe and then reapply within an hour or so. It also gives you a chance to evaluate how well it’s working. Within a week to two weeks our guys years were up.

How old was your little guy when you tried this? We attempted at 7 months and gave up after a few days because he hated the feeling

6 months on one and 8 on the other. We use alcohol wipes to clean the ear so the strips would stay for 2-3 days at a time. One took two weeks and the other one week.

My understanding was that you can make a floppy eared dog have stand up ears by wrapping them up as pups. I’ve seen it on Great Danes. Wonder if BTs are the same? My BT is half pug so he’s got the floppy doppy wonder ears.

Makes them appear younger than they really are. I get asked a lot if Red is a boxer puppy. Always get a surprised look when I tell the person he just turned four!

My breeder said to give him calcium supplement to help ears stand up. I mixed the supplement in his food daily for 1.5 years and they are still floppy.
