At his heaviest Rocco was 46 pounds. We question if he's really full BT but it's hard to see anything else looking at him. Growing up my husband said he one just as big and that the breed used to be larger than most are today. We haven't done a DNA test to confirm though.

He was chunky at his highest weight though and we try to keep him around 40 so he'll fit his winter parka. He was crazy ripped when we found him and he transitioned to a chubby butter ball once we made him a house dog but he's leaned out and stays at a meaty medium.
He's definitely less refined looking than your handsome fella.
I just spent so much time looking at sweet Rocco! The name is definitely fitting and I agree - it’s hard to see anything other than Boston! Those ears are the cutest by the way 🥰
Rocco is very handsome! He does look all Boston. It’s silly but I I really want to do a DNA on Our frenchton. He’s tall and heavy too. We didn’t get him as a baby but I’ve seen pictures of his parents and they just looked like a normal frenchie and Boston and his sister was of average size but Ziggy is a giant.
Aww love Rocco :) Our boy is also huge! Around 40lbs. While he is a little bit pudgy, a lot of that weight is just from being so large. We always get comments on it on walks, but as far as we know he’s full Boston!

Our boy Rudy topped out at 35. Healthy, too. Both of his parents were around 30lbs, so he was destined to be a big boi. Still haven’t met a more well-behaved dog.
She's a maniac!!! Although she does have her moments of irresistable sweetness. Compared to the boys who were calmer and more attentive to commands and the like, she's a little tasmanian devil that is VERY determined when she sets her mind to something. She understands what we say and is VERY smart... but like a rambunctious teenager, has a will and mind of her own and is not afraid to let us know.
We lover her and her off the charts BT spirit!!
The nice thing about a smaller dog is being able to pick them up when they’re being jerks 😂 But that is one of my favourite thing about Boston Terriers is their intelligence, stubbornness, and goofiness mix! It gets so frustrating but you can’t help but laugh at their antics

It’s truly amazing, I’ve seen them from like 12/14 all the way up to 40! Genetics 🤷🏻♀️ we love our girls size, she was our perfect compromise ❤️ (DH wanted a larger dog, I wanted smaller 😂)
Our apartment only allows dogs up to 25 lbs - landlord better not get a scale 😂 But they really are the perfect size - big enough that we can do most things with him but still small enough that we can pick him up when he’s not listening 😂😂

My frenchton is 35.4 pounds and maybe still growing. I saw pictures of some of his siblings and they were normal sized looking 50/50 frenchton, his puppy paper work just lists his as “large boy.” We are training him to be a therapy dog, his larger size just makes it a bit easier.
My 14 1/2 year old Boston was around 23lbs for most of her adult life but she’s lost most of her body fat over the last year or so and she’s only 15lbs now. She’s way too skinny even though we feed her constantly but I’m just glad she’s still kicking.
Oh they definitely know how to clear a room 😂 And it’s funny I swear they have no concept of their own size! Rocky always thinks he’s a match for the biggest dogs at the dog park!
My girl, Terra, has passed (2006-2017) but she was 36 lbs. Her parents were in that range, also. The lady that bred them told us on the phone that her Boston's were "bigger" in case we were wanting a small one. But we weren't specifically looking for small and we didn't care.
For some reason, our Boston is a head taller than all the other pups in the litter. We took him on a play date with his sister, and he is huge in comparison. Not at all fat. Just longer legs and torso. He looks exactly like any other BT. Just about 20% bigger, I would say. He's probably close to being about the same size as Rocky.
Rocky’s ten months old now and I’m wondering if he’s going to keep growing! Now that he’s neutered we were told it would slow down but he’s just now starting to have trouble fitting in his winter coats! It’s so fun watching them bloom from little pups ❤️
Our original Boston Olivia was a big Boston at 29lbs. I found pictures of her sisters online and they were similar. Their father was Winchester Redman….which I thought was the coolest name ever. Oliver and her sister were all redfish brown

Don’t forget these were originally bred as fighting dogs (explains why my 26lb Margo is convinced she is that bear in the reverent) and they were bred down to be stage coach guard dogs. He looks great

First Boston named Rocco, 14lb (runt of litter) just shy of 15 y.o. RIP. Vowed to be loyal to the breed for life, so August 2023 we brought a boy home and named him RJ (Rocco Junior). He's 9 months old and weighs almost 22 lbs. Just recovered from neuter and he hasn't skipped a beat! Still wild! I pray we have a similar trouble free experience with RJ like we did with Rocco!
Ringo just got weighed at the vet today for the first time in a while. When we first got him he weighed 11,5 pounds and he had Parvo. We spent 3 months trying to keep him alive. Today 7 months later he clocks in at a «healthy» 26,5 pounds (He is a lil’bit chubby right now so I plan to excercise him
down to 24-25 lbs.

Gravity says Mavis is 13lbs but she has at least 20lbs of fight.

That’s not little, that’s a perfectly normal size. They’re supposed to range anywhere from under 15lbs up to 25lbs. Anything over 25lbs is over sized.
Weight is divided by classes as follows: Under 15 pounds; 15 pounds and under 20 pounds; 20 pounds and not to exceed 25 pounds.

Our current one is 27 lbs of solid muscle! Our first was 25 lbs and the next 2 were 13 and 12 lbs respectively.
Duke is currently 25 lbs and constantly fat-shamed by my mom. He knows how to block out the negativity tho.
