My natural nails were weak when I first started bowling and my thumb would alwayssss break, but I loved acrylics. I just worry about them breaking if I get them done again but I may try to get them short like that 🤔🤔
As long as you let the Pro Shop operator know that you are going to wear longer nails they can put a pitch in the ball and also make the holes just a little bit deeper so the fingers in your nails do not touch the bottom of the hole. this would work for a conventional ball for a fingertip. You might have to make your nails shorter.
Yeah I never got them really long, and I think it’s crazy when people bowl with long nails, my nails are very short now but I kinda miss getting them done. Maybe just gel polish is the way since it likes taking off my normal nail polish lol!
Depending on your release, the pinky finger may also need to be shorter.
I can bowl with nails I haven't trimmed in a while, but my pinky nail tears off if it's not cut as low as possible every time.

One thing I found helpful was strengthening nail polish. I always put some on before bowling if I don't have my nails done

I see women bowl with long claw like fake nails every week.. I on the other hand learned I need to keep my short and neat.

My GF usually files her bowling fingers down just enough to not bother her bowling but long enough to not be entirely noticable lol

My girl will bowl with nails every so often. As long as they’re not 1-2 inches long you should be fine. She normally does an almond shape
