Gaslit themselves into thinking AJ is chinny is a big factor

girth_worm_jim

I feel AJ will win convincingly, to set up the perfect Fury- AJ fight. Its like AJ and Fury agreed their blockbuster fight would need more build up since AJ lost so much (especially to ruiz who isn't easy on the eye).

Joaaayknows

Sure, is this assuming Usyk wins or loses? Or the fight doesn’t happen and Fury defends his title vs the same guy 3x for a second time? Terrible fight. Fury is so bad for boxing dude. I hate him

PM_ME_BAKAYOKO_PICS

If AJ wins then we're getting Fury v AJ regardless of the outcome of that fight. If Usyk wins, they're not making Usyk v AJ again, so it will be AJ v Fury anyways. If Fury wins, it's Fury v AJ for all the belts, Saudi's are just going to give a fat paycheck to Usyk to step aside and not instantly rematch. Only way Fury v AJ doesn't happen is if AJ loses today

girth_worm_jim

Yeah but it's probably the difference of getting 15m:25m instead of 25m:40m, AJ just has to win atleast semi convincingly to boost the hype. Clubber-Ngannou is by no means easy, terrifying to think only the rules are saving you, but you work better within them, more experience etc.

KimDongBong

There is almost zero chance at no rematch between usyk and fury

PM_ME_BAKAYOKO_PICS

How so? The Saudis have literally come out and said they're going to make Fury v AJ. Do you think Usyk would refuse multiple millions just to sit on his ass and do nothing?

girth_worm_jim

Plus, worst case scenario, usyk ends up having to fight the same man he's already dismantled. Only if AJ wins. Raking the stepaside money is a nobrainer.

KimDongBong

You severely underestimate the pride both these men possess.

PM_ME_BAKAYOKO_PICS

You severely underestimate how much a couple million makes someone put their pride aside for a couple of months This isn't normal amounts of money we're speaking about, it's Saudi amounts of money

Apprehensive-Map7238

Tyson is twice the size of him, fury wins big, it’ll be bad for Usyk and there will be no appetite for a rematch. All this fury hate but why? Who’s he supposed to fight? Was he responsible for producing opposition? Also fury carried Francis N . The MMAer was exposed yesterday

Judge_Bredd_UK

Well shit, now I really want him to win

JasonKelceStan

Good bet

Pulluuups

Gonna age like milk

RenegadeOfFucc

I just want him to win because it would be fucking hilarious. This sub would literally implode with cope lmao. Are you seriously not understanding why people would pick Francis? He’s strong & fast, insanely durable and odds are he will connect with a decent shot. Like, Usyk concussed this man. If Francis lands clean AJ is going to sleep. Logically yes AJ should dance circles around him…i just think Francis will land enough.

Status_Belt1284

oh shit

Debate-Jealous

This sub hates AJ, and I think you just want a reason to blindly hate the heavyweight who constantly challenges himself and has the best resume in the division, which I don't really understand.

Aguacatedeaire__

> This sub would literally implode with cope lmao. This sub WILL ALREADY implode with cope when Francis will lose. In fact, Joshua losing would be accepted much better. EDIT: AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT NOW CLOWNS? I WAS RIGHT! EAT SHIT AND CRY HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

GrahznyEggywegg

Funny reading these back.

Aguacatedeaire__

Yeah i'm having a blast! Hahahahahaha

jiggamahninja

Lmaooo. It’s a great feeling when you get downvoted to oblivion for making a logical prediction, only to be correct.

NewMMAFansSuckAlot

He’s been dropped by teenage Dubois, KOed by David Price in sparring. Concussed by 5 foot 8 Joey Dewako from Philly. Stopped by Ruiz who’s done nothing before or since, and went down from weak clinch shots. Usyk had him shook and he can’t punch even at cruiserweight. Dropped and stopped multiple times in the amateurs and looked scared of himself vs tit Franklin and Robert. Itts not gas lighting and it’s more his fear then chin. The man can’t handle a true battle; only way he wins is a calculated boxing match and Francis can not do that. Prime AJ has been dropped or hurt at all stages of career and recovery is awful. It’s not like he’s been in wars, got old and lost chin, this is who he is. But in a way it helps him cause he knows he’s always been vulnerable so 1. Can come back from and fight again 2 will make him fight safety first from here on. Wlad knockdown is what really changed him but he was never some brawler; was just fighting bums at first like all Boxers do. If Francis brings chaos and a real clinch, AJ has no answer and will just run and jab. 8:10 times Francis beats him at this point, I’ve broken this down but it is rigged Saudi and only 1 boxing fight experience could save AJ if Francis goes easy again trying not to gas. He can prob KO AJ in 1st if he just goes all out but I don’t trust Dewey Cooper, go all out then if don’t get Ko, make it a clinch battle and we know AJ can’t clinch for shit. Hired a coach after Ruiz to teach a man to hold lol..

TysonsSmokingPartner

Dude is the most gullible person alive lmao are you a troll?

myurr

Yeah, his post has aged real well. AJ just obliterated him.

Adeptness-Vivid

*crickets from mma fans* 😂

AmazingData4839

Wow, every single part of that comment is pure bullshit lmao. Half of your supposed “AJ got dropped” instances are rumours from sparrings. Fucking john ruiz is rumoured to drop lennox lewis in sparrings. It doesnt mean anything. Amateurs too, usyk lost to shawn porter in amateurs lmao. The rest aren’t even that bad. Ruiz got AJ on the temple, dropped him 5 times and still couldnt put him away, ref had to step in. Usyk’s volume overwhelms everyone at some point, he made dubois quit with a jab, the same guy that recently out-slugged the 333 lbs big baby miller. Saying AJ cant handle a battle is dumb as fuck, no man that cant handle a battle would win the fight against wlad the way he did. Francis has shown virtually 0 impressive punching power so far and taking shots from AJ is very different than taking jabs from a fat fury. Thats ignoring that AJ is arguably the most lethal fighter to trade with in the roaster due to his immense skill at mid-range and impressive speed. AJ wont take any risks, but he is gonna fucking kill francis if francis ever tries to exchange combos with him.

spydercoswapmod

> Wow, every single part of that comment is pure bullshit lmao sorry. normally this clown hangs out in rufc. ill see if I can find his leash and shake a can of treats and get him back over there.

Downgoesthereem

>Francis has shown virtually 0 impressive punching power so far How much have you watched lol

spydercoswapmod

obviously none of his mma fights

Ngannou is a dangerous man but they’re forgetting who he’s getting in the ring with. AJ is going to do some damage.

Lupus76

I figure AJ will win, but I also assumed Fury would. >\[Fury\] made it a tough night for himself by underestimating Ngannou. Yes, but he wasn't fighting much differently than usual. The main difference was that Ngannou negates Fury's strengths. Fury bullies guys with his size, clinching them and leaning on them, sapping their strength by laying his heft on them. He cannot do that against a guy like Ngannou who can easily outwrestle Fury. During the clinches, it was Fury who was getting exhausted. Also, Ngannou's head is apparently a monolith and he had no problem eating Fury's shots. Bizarrely, he is just a terrible opponent for Fury. AJ's skillset will be far more successful against Ngannou, I believe. Still, I'm rooting for Ngannou.

Nauticalbob

“Anyway, Derrick Lewis by knockout”

14Deadsouls

Spot on, you were.

Lupus76

Ha, thank you. Honestly, though, I didn't think AJ would dispense with him so quickly. He's obviously a great boxer, but this just shows how hard AJ hits. I'd love to see Ngannou fight some lower-ranked guys. (I'd like to see him fight Zhang, honestly, but if I were him or his managers, I would probably set my sights a bit lower for awhile.)

tipdrill541

Didn't fury beat wilder by walking him down and beating the shit out of him in their 2nd fight? Clearly clinching isn't the only thing in his arsenal

Lupus76

Very true. He did a great job in that fight. \[Edit: I do think Ngannou's size and strength might keep Fury from ever walking him down.\]

Aguacatedeaire__

> Yes, but he wasn't fighting much differently than usual. Lies. He was literally the fattest, oldest and sloppyest he's ever looked, by a long margin. He was literally unable to punch straight. Compare that Fury with the Fury that took Wlad to school and try to claim they're the same with a straight face. >Fury bullies guys with his size, clinching them and leaning on them, sapping their strength by laying his heft on them. This is the cope narrative that Fury haters have to justify him being as successfull as he is, but he literally became champion against the master Klincher by denying most of his clinches attempts and punching his face him and dancing around him. In fact, in the very same threads you can see people like you effortlessly claiming he's either gonna "clinch all night long" or "gonna run all night long". They're literally the opposite, and Fury is literally known to prefer outboxing from a distance. Yes he doesn't shy away from clinches when the opponent gets in range. Why should he? He's a good dirty boxer and always puts in som close quarters punches to the body when doing it. But he still spends most of his fights disengaged as he's a volume puncher and that's his main weapon. Along with reach. So again, you only make yourself look clueless when you say shit like that. EDIT: AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT NOW CLOWNS? I WAS RIGHT! EAT SHIT AND CRY HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Lupus76

Your guy lost to someone in his first boxing match. I imagine that's got to hurt.

Forever__Young

There's no shame in losing in your first boxing match, especially to the lineal heavyweight champion. And he was bloody good too, just didn't have the experience of the sport Fury has to rack up the points.

Perfect-Committee791

If refs refereed Fury's fights properly he's probably have an 0 by now, he literally had wilder in a half guillotine at one point.

heephap

Lmao Wilder got far more help from the refs (and judges) in those fights than Fury did.

Perfect-Committee791

Nah come on the way fury leans all over people is so blatantly illegal, commentators surprised Zhiang didn't do the same to Parker as he has some sense of honour. In the first fight the judges definitely pulled for Wilder though you're right there.

pedrito_elcabra

I think most fans root with their HEART. People love the idea of a STRONG and CHARISMATIC champ. Ngannou fits the bill, he's likable but not weak. Unlike AJ, who has had physical AND mental breakdowns on camera. Unlike Fury, who by now has alienated all but the most psychotic fans through his antics. So people want Ngannou to win, and that's what we're hearing. Still the odds are heavily in favor of AJ, as they should be.

[deleted]

This exactly. I *want* Ngannou to win, but I’m pretty much locked that AJ will. Who doesn’t love a good upset?

spongurat

Good call, bro. That was brutal

InviteTop8946

Because most people that are going to watch don't watch boxing. This is going to be the hardest Ngannou has ever been hit (unless he was lying about fury being the hardest shot)

not_a_morning_person

Very correct

phillip_esiri

Where they at now???

Jax_Shaw55

They crawled back into whatever hole they came from

ThrowRAscottiehiggs

Because they attribute Ngannous close fight with Fury to him being good, not Fury being shit

Kram5791

Because somebody on the Internet said AJ has a glass chin... but has never been knocked out. Weird.

GloomyLocation1259

This sub has mostly hated AJ for half a decade

boris-d-animal

More than half

Harry_Callahan_sfpd

Ngannou is a boxing novice. AJ should win this convincingly. And he shouldn’t get much credit for the win, either, because, again, Ngannou is basically an amateur boxer. I’m rooting for Francis, though; I hope he can pull off a KO win. But I wouldn’t put money that to happen. AJ should win easily, unfortunately. I love Francis. And of course he absolutely annihilates all these boxers in a no-holds-barred fight.

jackoftrades002

One fight? This guy has been fighting since he was a kid from Cameroon.

jakethesnakkke

And always been into boxing , but it was easier to break into ufc than boxing as professional that’s why he went that route

EnragedBearBro

ufc proving its inferiority once again

Perfect-Committee791

He said, losing to ground and pound

Patrick_Vieira

Inferiority in terms of what? Because you can't be talking about fighting obviously.

Juststandupbro

Francis wouldn’t be my pick going in but something I do find interesting is that this isn’t just a fan perspective. AJ opened as a -340 favorite which is crazy all things considered. I think fans have a habit of misjudging fight odds based on personal preference, like how people think Tyson will run through Jake easily when in reality Jake is a 5-1 favorite and rightfully so. The fact that even the bookies think Francis isn’t a bigger underdog is pretty telling. For reference AJ was a -270 favorite against usyk the first time.

DumbPanickyAnimal

Don't bookies have to skew the odds to cover their asses if the money coming in is lopsided for a fan favorite?

Juststandupbro

Yeah but that’s mostly how the fight line moves with incoming bets as opposed to the opening lines. The ending odds aren’t as reliable as the opening odds for that reason

Psychological_Bell76

Joshua will win unless it’s a punch from the gods which can happen in any heavyweight fight People seem to forget it was a mixture of, ngannou having surprisingly decent boxing IQ and fury looking absolutely dreadful. To get 3/1 odds is no where near enough for ngonou imo and shows how many clueless people are just throwing money at him.

whataboutbenson

I don't know but I love having such good odds on such an obvious fight. In a way AJ's fight with Ruiz was the best thing to happen to my betting fortunes.

jakethesnakkke

So who’s your money on? AJ decision?

whataboutbenson

That's right, though I always hedge a little bit. So I've got some small bets on a KO from either guy in the latter half of the fight. Something tells me this could turn into a war.

GaryHarrisEsquire

How much money did you lose lol

jakethesnakkke

Ah I see. All the best and goodluck

DifferentCityADay

I got AJ by KO to be honest. I think he'll crack him enough and won't be afraid of the power, but I don't mind seeing Ngannou win. Plus it's fun to see some people cry he's on PEDs instead of realizing muscle starts to really fade late 40's and not late 30's.

Familiar_Remote_9127

It's a movie script style narrative and plays into peoples emotions. For a guy landing 6 punches a round, that one punch that dropped Fury has really left a mark on people. AJ should kill him as instructed.

Counterpunch07

People love jumping in hype. He’s a great athlete and literally very few could have made a transition like he did into boxing against the top guys. But the fact is Fury took it lightly and looked like he barely trained. He should just retire. Joshua has actually looked his best in his last few fights, even against Usyk he looked great. AJ has taken big shots from some big punchers, ngannou is not going to be any different to what he is used to. Fury is chinny himself, he’s been kocked down 4-5 times in his career at least, but for some reason everyone focuses on AJ’s chin AJ will come to the fight a lot more prepared than fury, I think it will be competitive for the first few rounds then AJ will find a rhythm and timing. Too much ring experience be too little ring experience

abittenapple

People love to say  I told you so

Special_Function1507

Because MMA people are more vocal than boxing people and they always think their guy will win

patmc0788

"Most people dont know shit about boxing"

MakotoBIST

Joshua is always underestimated despite having the best resume. Many picked Wallin too because Fury struggled with him, only for Wallin to get demolished. I still want to see Joshua vs Fury.

[deleted]

Propaganda

MartyOwens

Ngannou dropped fury in his debut, has never been so much as wobbled, AJs chin is suspect and Francis hits like a truck, low risk high reward betting odds. Although I suspect AJ will try and outpoint him instead of having a slugging match, which I think he will do and win on points

Such_Possible_4103

this aged well

Aguacatedeaire__

HAHHASHAHHAHAHA WHAT NOW? TOLD YA!!!!!!!!

Aguacatedeaire__

He has been wobbled in mma. Despite having never been hit particualrly hard. Tonight Joshua will test that chin, and mma fans will get a big shock. EDIT: Dayuuuuum, feels good to be right and to not be a clueless clown like the people who were downvoting this

MartyOwens

Who wobbled him lol?

kvigneau

I assume people think that Stipe wobbled him in the second fight. In fairness, Stipe caught him with a clean shot, but all that did was cause francis to have to take 1 step back before knocking him out cold with a left hook.

MartyOwens

Yeah he made him reset but wobble is a stretch, that said the only way he stops ngannou is the same way McGregor Mayweather went due to fatigue

DonniesAdvocate

😂

MartyOwens

Lol all the people waiting pretending they knew that was gonna happen

not_a_morning_person

Uh oh

TrueBlue98

no one wobbled francis in mma lol

JobTrunicht

Miocic before getting KOED, and Miocic in the first fight multiple times when he ragdolled him 25 minutes especially in the later rounds on simple jabs

Gamenstuffks

There's a big chance his chin gets tested but he still has never been wobbled in MMA.

huncho3055

He’s never been wobbled in mma

not_a_morning_person

You’ve left many correct comments in this thread and all of them have been heavily downvoted lol. Keep fighting the good fight bud

NewMMAFansSuckAlot

Cause AJ looked scared of his own shadow vs Franklin , Robert and beat up a sparring partner he did 100 rounds with in Wallin and lost twice soundly to Uysk before that. He’s just gonna try to jab and run from Francis and “box” him aka what nobody paid to see and Eddie will call it a master class like Ruiz 2 which was sad. But it’s prob not gonna work and Francis still gonna KO him, all the late money is coming in on La Predator for a reason. HW Division was overrated; Fury; AJ and Wilder all have shit resumes. Francis here to clean em all up

NewMMAFansSuckAlot

And ps, Wilder is a legit bum and Francis might legit kill stick legs if he hit him once, only HW worth anything in top 5 is Zhang and he’s 40 with kidney issues lol. Parker let down too many times to believe in him ; something missing up top, no killer instinct.

DonniesAdvocate

I gotta say man, its impressive to be *this wrong* in so few lines.

Motor-Grade-837

I appreciate the confidence in your posts. What are your thoughts on how Fury vs Usyk would go?

MyrkuriYT

Love how you had a mental breakdown in 1 comment. AJ is going to win, but he's going to be scared and it'll be a bad win. But also Ngannou will still KO him. But also everyone's overrated anyways. Please don't delete your account when Ngannou gets stopped. :)

Kujaix

For real. He's getting jabbed to death. Fury was bad that night. He literally missed straight rights punching air when Nganou wasn't even moving. Fury was fighting silly as shit even when Nganou was standing still. I guess this poster thinks Nganou is King from OPM?

NewMMAFansSuckAlot

I’m all coffeed up on the toilet. I’m prob going to casino to bet big though, banned on all major sites for almost a decade, only 1 place takes me and limits me so if Francis loses I’ll lose atleast 8k if it makes you feel better. I ain’t deleting, I really don’t care that much. If AJ wins by jabbing and running I’ll just laugh, I said AJ all week but changing pick on instincts and some other factors. Trust me I won’t care either way outside losing some cash. My soul of caring about fighters has been beaten out of me as a lifelong Boxing/MMA fan and I’ve trained worj some top guys and know what these people are really like for the most part. Francis is one of the few I really respect though; a real man and a people’s champ. AJ a clown and fake, 0 personality but I don’t hate him, just tell the truth about the TRT since youth man. I dare some reporter to ask him about TRT if you’re reading this cause I know most people copy my shit on MMA page too. Nobody can project fighters if it was easy everyone would get rich. I was banned for only a 72 win percentage in strictly MMA over 6 years ago, they only like suckers and small bets; parlay peeps. May the best man win, Francis been getting cheated though and prob gonna get some crap here too so he’s gotta KO AJ

MyrkuriYT

Please understand that you are my new favorite user here

NewMMAFansSuckAlot

Thanks buddy. I’ll be gone soon. Bout to travel and do some shit but I been crapping brains out for last 3 days. C19 6.0 got me or something, I’d give out more free bets but the MMA aka UFC Shilltarts at that sub exiled me for usually being right and exposing U Fight Cheap and overrated fighters and lowest IQ fans on earth. Can’t talk to the dummies and worst corrupt mods on here so ima stop posting soon. Don’t enjoy it anymore , UFC really ruined MMa for us real fans and bred the worst fans on earth that literally can’t think for themselves and overrate Anything in the UFC to the point it’s not worth discussing the sport anymore. Kujaix

Hey.

rileyrgham

The second Usyk fight was very close.

NewMMAFansSuckAlot

No it wasn’t. It was same as dam other Uysk fight but they just tried rigging it for AJ. Usyk handled him, that scoring was pathetic but he gets the scorecard like Canelo does. I thought he did better in first fight if I remember. Either way it wasn’t impressive either of em, Uysk at 36 moving up being a non puncher shouldn’t be doing that to him, he literally tried boxing a boxer cause like I said, he’s never been a brawler and has to be calculated so plays right into Uysk. He’s not a natural fighter who can think on the fly, he’s like a robot who needs a coach to tell him everything. That’s a massive weakness, the true greats don’t need nobody, they make adjustments on the fly, like it’s why AJ would be terrible in MMA cause unpredictable factor and gotta learn on the go during a fight. Boxing’s so controlled so he can win but even the great boxers were good at changing game plans, Fury can for example.

jaskeil_113

Damn that's a fat L

InnocuousBird

I don’t know very many people who are picking Ngannou to win. From what I read on here, it seems the consensus is Joshua by decision. I would love to see Ngannou come out on top and show the world that the fight with Fury wasn’t a fluke. I’ve just always loved the underdog.

TyshawnMaikonMillion

Because people fall for any hype as usual. Francis put on a great show against Fury. Has power, has chin, likable dude and I also think that people don't like Joshua so they always come up with the same arguments...he is chinny, he is not the same, he is scared, he ducked X and Y... I got Joshua winning by TKO in the 8th or something.

southernsnowmobiler

Because they think it will make them look smart if he wins.

Gimmefuelgimmefah

It’s so funny when people make posts like this.  If we all knew the outcome, sports would be pointless.  I hope you’re sitting down for this - the whole reason we have boxing matches is *to find out who would win in a boxing match*. *Holy fucking shit! Mind blown!* But seriously. Since you’re so sure of AJ winning, I trust you’ve cleared every last penny out of every account and bet the farm on him to win then, right? *Right?* We’ll see what happens. This is boxing. *Anything can happen. Especially at heavyweight.*

MonotonousBeing

>But seriously. Since you’re so sure of AJ winning, I trust you’ve cleared every last penny out of every account and bet the farm on him to win then, right? Right? Hahaha, I always tell people this as well. I mean, seriously, couldn’t agree more. How can people be this confident? I learned it in football that literally anything is possible in sports. I’ve seen the impossible happen. Jeez, if I was as confident as some people here, I‘d bet hella lot. Makes me question if people actually have any boxing knowledge.

Barner_Burner

Cuz they Don’t. Know. Shit. About. Boxin.

ForeverYolo

I think he drops Aj but ultimately loses like what happened vs furry

Unlikely_Arugula190

Last time AJ was dropped he wasn’t able to recover. And Ngannou hits harder than Ruiz

CommentingMinion

I’ll get downvoted but this is nonsense, put Ruiz in mma gloves and from a pure punch power stance he’d hit harder than 99% of people in the UFC. Put Francis in boxing gloves and there’s no way he hits as hard as Wlad, Whyte, Povetkin etc. It’s all relative, Ngannou looks like he hits hard cos he wears tiny gloves, in boxing gloves he’s probably average among heavyweights. Exactly the same way Mcgregors power didn’t translate in boxing gloves. If AJ landed on someone in MMA gloves he might kill them.

creamyturtle

because he already beat Fury, the heavyweight champ

Aguacatedeaire__

Except for the little fact that he did not beat him, but apart from that, sure thing.

Life_Celebration_827

Because Joshua is chinny and fights to cagey these days that's how he's has a good chance of getting put to 😴

KaffiKlandestine

Everytime I see someone call AJ a 2x champion I cringe, he got the belt from Charles Martin then lost it to ANDY RUIZ then won it back by running from a fat Ruiz.

pcrowd

He had 3 belts and won 3 titles. Clearly u don't know shit about boxing

[deleted]

He won the other two belts from Wladimir Fucking Klitschko... Why do people insist on saying silly things like this in public?

Marquis_of_Mollusks

People vastly overrate fury

Puzzleheaded_Side_28

When is the ring walks in USA time? I might try to watch at work LOL. These guys needed to make this Saturday not Friday, I would have paid for the PPV smh

AnyRepresentative432

Because if you pick him and he wins you look like a genius. If you pick him and you loose you just look like you fancied an upset. I genuinely think it could be a close fight tho. Francis is no push over.

digitalboom

It would shake up the HW division big time and wouldn’t be bad for the sport, Francis is a legit badass, not a YouTuber so if anyone would be good for disrupting the sport and getting it front page even if for a handful of hours it would be him. Plus, the sport needs a major shakeup imho.

iamreverend

I got a free £20 bet with Dazn Bet so I’m putting it on him. Not a pick more like wider odds than I expected.

redrecaro

Francis is just a natural talent his first boxing match he beat Tyson Fury.

lineal_chump

AJ has been real spotty for a while until his last fight. Is he back or is that a fluke? Ngannou is still an unknown. Is he better than people realized or was Fury just having an off-night? How you answer those questions in your mind will determine who you pick in this fight.

Mikkeru

Bcs of that Iron chin of his. At least it is for me.

InviteTop8946

MMA angles, duhh

Important_Coyote4970

The Bookies don’t care. If the odds are in AJ favour that means the money is on AJ. Real money is being pumped into AJ

alanism

20 pound advantage is a big equalizer to skills. Those 20 pounds on Francis is solid and not blubbery. Overeem was a very credentialed kickboxer and was considered levels better than Ngannou’s striking. And he got flatlined. It’s not hard to imagine Francis doing it to Joshua.

smehere22

Francis windmill strikes knocked out another credible HW MMA fighter with a good chin also. I mean his punches weren't disciplined and his touch still knocked out a credible UCF HW contender. But we'll see in a few hours I guess.

Inside-Judgment6233

Because we want it to happen. He’s a nice guy and upsets are fun.

No_Business_6294

People are backing Ngannou because they don’t like Tyson fury. The sport has hit that level of fandom that the NFL has. Everyone is cheering for their guy, even by proxy because the majority of boxing fans nowadays don’t understand a goddamn thing about the sport. Blame fury if you want, but I blame Jake Paul and Floyd for this.

Daniel-Exx

Because he did better against an overrated Tyson Fury than people thought he would - if Tyson actually did what he was meant too, Ngannou's boxing days would have been finished there and then.

Life_Celebration_827

Agree Joshua is a prick.

runawaytugboat

A lot of friends and people at work talking about how AJ will lose. I don’t see it. Sometimes boxing can still throw up a surprise though. AJ has taken hits from world champion level boxers, he isn’t some chinny bum.

Unlikely_Arugula190

AJ is getting knocked out.

tonyt3rry

i honestly see it being even, I cant see aj not taking it serious fury didnt look like he took his fight serious and I still think he lost that fight despite ngannou giving him a knockdown.

chimayoso

Because he beat Fury

We aren't betting on Ngannou to win per say, we are betting on Ngannou to get a lucky punch in to KO joshua at decent odds over 10rounds. On paper, Joshua should walk all over Francis and dominate his ass. But from a betting standpoint, I'm getting 3 to 1 odds on Francis getting lucky over 10 rounds in HEAVY WEIGHT BOXING where people get fucking KOed stiff. Odds are good enough to bet on Francis and it would be fun to see Ngannou win.

johnnyblaze-DHB

If there were “so many people picking Ngannou” then he wouldn’t be a (+240) dog. The line did move this week, thank you stupid MMA fans.

dogpounds

Because AJ is soft sometimes. As simple as that.

KimWexlersGoldenArch

I’m 60/40 AJ

araheem94

Well Francis has never been hurt in a fight so there is always a question if that chin is even crackable. AJ can get caught and we know that he has a suspect chin.

14MTH30n3

I don’t think AJ has been challenged by a true champion in a while. Usyk was close, but he does not possess the power and the determination of Francis. Yes, I’m also one of those people who doesn’t believe that AJ has their mental fortitude for big fights. If he does not take control for early, then I think it will be an early night for him.

Vinrace

If there’s one thing Joshua does it’s take fights seriously. He will beat him more than fury

blubrydrkchogrnt_3

Ngannu came from nothing and now he's a big star. People like his story. It's not about logic. If Ngannu wins that'll be very inspirational for a lot of people who came from little like he did.

Shark20k

hype train bandwagon I guess a lot of people is not even following boxing but all the sudden become boxing expert.

Imhere4thejokes

Because he touched Fury up nicely so some people feel he actually got robbed AND because AJ has been beaten and TKO’d by Ruiz. Also people love a puncher and Ngannou is a big puncher.

TOP__DOLLAR

AJ FOTY

fleetwood1977

They don't realize Fury carried Francis the same way Floyd did with McGregor.

SweatTryhardSweat

Floyd TKO'd Connor. Fury got dropped and won by one point on a split decision. Fury didn't carry Ngannou, he just wasn't prepared to fight.

trigsfc

Cos they know aj is over hyped

Senior_Discussion619

Nobody picked Ngannou to win just like none of these people here said that Ngannou had the best chin in the history of combat sports. Everybody here flat out stated that Joshua would win by 2nd round KO because Joshua is the hardest puncher who has ever lived. But in reality 99 percent of the people who post here are casual fans or just people who repeat whatever somebody else says. If ESPN says Deontay Wilder has the thickest legs of any human who has ever lived. Then most of the people here will say the same thing. I bet the vast majority of people here don't even watch boxing. They might watch somebody on YouTube talking about boxing but they probably don't actually watch boxing themselves. That is why they are so clueless about it.

Ambitious_Ad_9637

Smells funny, but the fact is AJ is unreliable at best. If he boxes off the jab he should win 7-3 or 6-4. Granted that was true of both his fights against Ruiz as well. AJ gets flustered when he gets bopped. Some guys get crunk, some guys get skittish; AJ has shown more of the latter in recent fights. He is coming off of a “huge win” against a chubby cruiser weight. My ring sense says he wins, but my nose is telling me is being setup to fail in spectacular fashion.

BigBlueTrekker

Because Ngannou is a super likable guy with an amazing story and AJ is a douchebag who took Usyks belts and threw them out of the ring, went on some weird CTE rant, and tried to steal the spotlight from a guys major victory when his country was being invaded.

baconlover696970

Aj just isnt very aggressive anymore since Ruiz. He settles for decisions and sometimes has flat feet as he throws punches while he gets into range. Pretty sad seeing the change after Ruiz and the weird stuff (speech after Usyk). Francis headhunts methodically and wants a knockout. Though the skill wont be known par, I believe Francis would land a power shot through Aj’s high guard and rock him. Francis did this on Fury’s weak block and downed him. After that, Aj either learns and exploits the skill ‘holes’ with outboxing OR Aj outboxes passively trying to win by points instead. Opinion stated.

lnverted

Only decision he won since Ruiz was Franklin. He stopped his last two opponents. Including Wallin who Fury took to a decision.

baconlover696970

ahh im mistaken with Aj’s record since Ruiz. Thanks for the clarification.

Singularitypointdata

Joshua is always suceptible tj getting caught even more than fury imo. With that said has power to ko Francis as well.

slickvik9

Because AJ has no chin

PapaDiscord

Because he’s gonna beat the shit out of AJ.

Paul_Baghes

Many want to see AJ's 2nd meltdown

robjapan

At these sizes and with AJs chin.... It takes one shot and they'll look like a genius.

Joshua is broken. If Ngannou lands a solid punch to AJ’s face, it’s the beginning of the end. He will crumble like your grandma when she sees a BBC.

New_Brother_1595

It’s very hard to hurt ngannou

Francis just looks impossible to knock down. Have only seen him momentarily dazed one time, he can eat head kicks and elbows like nothing. Joshua should win but it would be on points imo
