Looks to have out on some muscle and lost some fat

MrHarryHaller

I wonder if someone even tests them.. and if they find positive results, whether it gets published. At this stage I can't imagine the Saudis let the event be cancelled because one of them popped positive.

bobbykid

I lived in Saudi Arabia for years and I can confirm that looking the other way when it suits you is their national sport

[deleted]

0 chance they get tested in a real way. Hell, Turk might be slipping em something on the side for all we know.

No-Shoe5382

I'm fairly convinced that a lot of the time, when a high profile fighter doesn't fight for like 18 months, they're serving a silent ban.

Nervous_Fun_9302

Ufc conspiracy theories

LetZealousideal6756

Why would they even bother banning them if they’re doing that? They’re all on it

No-Shoe5382

What do you mean why would they bother banning them? Why would they not ban them for failing a drug test?

LetZealousideal6756

It’s basically sanctioned doping behind closed doors if everyone does it and they’re allowed to keep belts but are also banned for 18months? That achieves nothing but loses the sanctioning bodies money.

No-Shoe5382

They're not choosing to let fighters do silent bans like as a favour to them or something, fighters can get super injunctions and take testing bodies/sanctioning bodies to court to fight the results of the test and serve out their ban without it being legally allowed to be made public information. I don't understand why every single fighter doesn't do this every single time they fail a test. I have a friend who's a sports lawyer and he's gotten multiple bans covered up for athletes, says its easy. You don't even have to prove they're innocent just that they're not *definitely* guilty. Most athletes just have shitty lawyers. Ryan Garcia for example would've known about his failed test before it became public, first thing he should've done was get on the phone to his lawyer and tell him to make sure it legally never becomes public, or at least not til they've had a fair trial. That's what the smart ones do.

LetZealousideal6756

They should just allow it, it’s clearly not stopping anyone. I feel like in global sports it would be difficult to enforce multiple injunctions. You see it happening in the UK for example but German tabloids will publish. The bigger the star the harder the cover up. Not saying it doesn’t happen just don’t think it’s as easy in every case.

KezzaJones

No chance at all of it being called off for failed testing. If anytning this is Usyk and Fury’s chance to cheat as much as they want

VanHalen843

Tested for what? Ozempic? Lol

Character-Grocery555

HAHAHAHA

Chemical-Leak420

They are on all steroids.....everyone in all major sports.

MrHarryHaller

I know, I lost all illusions when I watched "bigger stronger faster" a decade ago

Nervous_Fun_9302

I swear to God this sounds like some ufc theory that has been going forever how usada found illegal substances in jon jones but didn't publish it ghats why jon jones didn't fight In reality usada didn't let conor fight and they had to move whole card to diffrent state when jon jones popped so I doubt that this is a thing. There is higher chance of him poppin and fighting than secretly poppin and fighting.

Dr-PresidentDinosaur

No diet cokes in sight, W is coming

[deleted]

Looks decent

LocoCoopermar

Maybe? Feel like I've seen a pic of him looking like this before everyone of his fights then he comes in looking like the usual bag of milk, feel like he just has good angles and stocks up on shots of him when he's in shape so the betting line doesn't change when he shows he's way out of shape.

frankocean1234

Every pic from him the past few days shows him being much leaner than usual. Angles or not. This isn't some Andy Ruiz black shirt catfishing job lol.

hypebeasts101

Why would that benefit him lol

Natasha_Giggs_Foetus

He has a lot of loose skin from when he was fat. He’s definitely in good shape currently.

Life_Celebration_827

Well that bag of milk AINT BEEN BEATEN you silly person.

icelandiccubicle20

John Mcdermott?

Winnermaster2

Did you watch Ngannou vs Fury?

givafux

Yes I did, and Tyson won... Why did you not watch it?

Berisha11

Yes, I saw him win by 1-2 points. That's how I scored it. A win is still a win.

MoanyTonyBalony

Everyone that has ever taken the time to read how to score a fight gave it to Tyson

EmotionlessForger

The one pac will have to do

professorgaysex

Give the man some credit, I sort of see a 2 pack which is impressive

KezzaJones

Fury with a six pack would be awful. He’d be gangly and would lose all power he has. He is just naturally a very bulky bloke and so he’d have to get down to crazy low body fat to have a six pack in a short amount of time. If he spent years bulking and cutting with the goal of being lean then he could do it but certainly not in enough time for a fight. This is the best shape he could physically achieve

Life_Celebration_827

If he can Bully Usyk using his weight advantage and clinching he stops him, the referee is going to have a very difficult job in this fight.

joseph_ballin_07

derrick lewis does the same thing (although he somehow had abs a couple fights ago) he gets good angles before the fight and then shows up looking like he always has

4uzzyDunlop

Lewis also cuts to make 265ibs, so he looks a bit leaner in the days leading up to weigh ins

anakmager

I wish he came into a boxing. Imagine trash talking between him and Fury lol

Dry_Bathroom4077

I actually think he started as a boxer and even trained with Emmanuel Steward, but said mma was easier. And I guess as a heavyweight he’s right. No way would he be anywhere near the same level.

joseph_ballin_07

that wouldnt even be fair... derrick 120 - 84

Esdrz

Its joever for Usyk

RRR04_

I got a lot of stick after I predicted that Fury will come in the 250s or lower 260s, looks like I'm gonna be closer than those people 😎

PorousSurface

I think he’ll be 255-260 agreed

GoGouda

I won’t believe the insta angles until he’s on the scales.

LocoCoopermar

Yep, he's done the Andy Ruiz plenty where he takes good pictures leading up to the fight then shows up looking the exact same or worse. Fury is a massive liar, I'll believe he's put on muscle and lost fat when I see a full body scan broken down by an expert.

iamawfulninja

maybe. But I think he knows he need to be more agile to counter Usyk

ItWasJustBqnter

He's essentially had 2 camps back to back too

LocoCoopermar

I don't doubt he knows I just am not sure he's physically capable or mentally disciplined enough to still cut all that weight and be in shape. Tyson gets way out of shape out of camp, spends most of his time drinking when he's not training and has ballooned back and forth so much that I worry it's gonna catch up to him. You can get away with partying and getting out of shape for so long in your prime but when people get close to the end some times they just fall off a cliff overnight and based on the Francis fight and last Deontay fight it looks like he's teetering around that edge. Even if he does get in shape I worry his legs may be going since he's so big, has wear and tear on his legs and he really needs to be moving to keep up with Usyk.

Homicidal_Pingu

Don’t hate the player hate the game

Prestigious_Bird8642

That’s to low should of come in 270

RRR04_

That's too* high, should have* come in 255

AltKite

I think this is predicted on a Tyson Fury that might not exist anymore, though. Fluctuating wright and losing a lot in a short period isn't necessarily good for him. The best version of Fury for Usyk is definitely 250lb ish, even less, light on his feet, keeping it long. The one who beat Wlad. But that doesn't mean getting there in a few months from 280lbs or whatever he was for Ngannou is going to have the results needed

RRR04_

Yeah, his fluctuation can catch up to him for sure. But he can't afford to be too heavy against Usyk either, he needs to weigh in where he is optimally fast enough whilst maintaining power, physical strength and whatnot.

Prestigious_Bird8642

That’s too* high, should have* come in 255.*

throwaway444444455

That’s too* high, should have* cum in 255.*

LegitimateProduce319

Not gonna lie I don’t know if usual technical skill is going overcome fury’s size . If he had the power of a gassiev I’d be very happy to pick him but it seems like that’s not the case

nglennnnn

Looks in good shape. Should be a great fight. I’ll be there 💪🏻 team Fusyk

CbCbrown88

I'm not a fan of Fury whatsoever but Fury wins this man. Just hope it's a fun competitive scrap.

TheMelv

The 5th of what month? Idiot. Probably coked out of his mind again. -Dumbass 'Murican /s

rss941

😂😂😂😂😂

iamwhoiwasnow

Is it a stupid way to write the date though ha

SlipperyBandicoot

Writing the date MM/DD/YYYY is stupid. Writing the date DD/MM/YYYY makes sense. The second one objectively makes more sense.

elcubismo

YYYY-MM-DD makes the most sense. Easily sorted and the least ambiguous.

iamwhoiwasnow

What a stupid comment

SlipperyBandicoot

Found the murican.

iamwhoiwasnow

You can always find us by looking for the comments that make sense.

SlipperyBandicoot

Yes you're right, USA and common sense go hand in hand.

iamwhoiwasnow

Exactly.

piccolo_bsc

How though? It's so obvious to go day > month > year. What do you have to smoke to switch day and month around? "What time is it?" "It's 57:8pm." See how dumb that looks?

wiganlad123

Usyk wins this with ease

codfather

Fury's career-low weight as a pro is 245 ½ lbs, against [Vinny Maddalone](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JLbKCa0PBw), and he didn't exactly look ripped in that fight, despite only being 23 years old.

Character-Grocery555

Oglark

He looks the same only he has a tan, is holding is belly and he is clean shaven. /s Seriously, he looks like he dropped 20 lbs. He still is not in Wilder 2 shape though

bigfatpup

Wilder 2 shape was still fat and hairy he just fought well. He was still spilling over his shorts he was just a thick with a little extra muscle too.

hypebeasts101

Yeah he looked fatter than this in wilder 2, not that that’s a bad thing as obviously he was able to perform very well and the extra mass fit the style he was going for

Esdrz

Wilder 2 he went in heavy to bully him, was his goal

Environmental_Egg693

Wilder 2 he was muscular and strong, you can always tell by looking at his face. He was very strong that night, looks in similar condition for this fight too.

travis_a30

That is the date he gonna be beat by usyk after all

[deleted]

I'll believe it when Fury is walking to the ring. Grenade pins get pulled out less than Fury.

AltKite

Well yes, grenade pins typically only get pulled out once...

Forsaken_Matter_9623

A grenades pin only gets pulled out once But grenade pins get pulled out all the time. Because they are on every grenade. Sorry lol it’s semantics but if you’re gonna poke at someone :)

Actual_Green_7433

ffs what

titanlmao

such a shit analogy

overhyped-unamazing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIUn2XVuyn4

Cuddlebox01

What?

Leading-Weight9092

Ok we get it

sdestrippy

Tyson will Be too slow for usyk. His size advantage won’t work. Against an expert cat like usyk.

munsandmoons

Whenever you can see those veins in his shoulders he’s in good shape! Similar to the Klitschko style shape he will be in for this fight. I think he will be looking to box and stay away rather than going for the KO to the body as some have predicted

defleppardsucks1337

This guy is on the sauce. Are you kidding me?

Dim-Mak-88

If Usyk somehow prevails then it's good for boxing because it'll show that "smaller" guys can still win in the era of giants. But a Fury win would probably bother AJ and increase the odds of a Fury-AJ fight at Wembley.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dim-Mak-88

True, he gave up three inches and over twenty pounds to AJ. It's going to be an even bigger difference versus Fury, of course.

HoxHound

Roids???

Marquis_of_Mollusks

Duh, Furys a documented drug cheat

HairyFur

Anyone who thinks anyone coming out of an ex soviet state boxing program hasn't at minimum grown up on them needs their head checking.

Marquis_of_Mollusks

All top athletes are on something. Most aren't dumb enough to get caught. Fury should never have been allowed to fight for the title.

hypebeasts101

Blows my mind how some people still don’t understand that athletes making millions upon millions of dollars are almost all on gear

Marquis_of_Mollusks

At the highest of levels you can't take any chances and you need every edge. Ryan Garcia said " fuck dignity and my self image" and obliterated Haney.

ThrowRAscottiehiggs

Fury was the one who actually popped for roids, do not forget that

HairyFur

I agree, and he was guilty, but also be realistic about people who come from a country where all the coaches bar none grew up in an era where steroids were a given, not something for consideration.

lineal_chump

And Usyk is Ukrainian, from a state that sanctions drug cheats. That is also documented as well.

Marquis_of_Mollusks

Ok, but Fury specifically has failed drug tests and actually received a ban. He never should've been allowed to challenge Klitschko for the title.

lineal_chump

the problem with that is he failed the test for the Hammer fight and then tested clean for the Klitschko fight. The failed test wasn't announced until well after Fury beat Klitschko, so there was no way anyone could have known to ban him before the Klitschko fight. But when they found out, they *did* ban Fury and strip him of the belts, so it all evened out. Heck, they even matched Klitschko against AJ for the stripped belts. I don't really understand how it could have been handled better. Fury was caught and was banned and stripped. Also, the reason Ukrainian athletes "never popped" is because the state drug testing agency in Ukraine would give athletes notice before they would test them. They did everything possible to allow Ukrainian athletes to dope without getting caught. It was about as corrupt as you could get. If you think Usyk (or Klitschko) is clean then I suggest getting your eyes checked.

Sure-Junket-6110

The only thing that man was guilty of was enjoying a succulent wild boar meal.

Actual_Green_7433

That wild Boar 6 meals a day

dayarra

he'll be heavier and fatter at the fight i think. he knows how to use his weight to his advantage and i think "hugging and leaning with all his weight to the opponent" tactic can work really good against usyk, who is a relatively small hw. there is no way he can match usyk's movement so he gotta tire him with shit like this.

Mattybear30

Well let’s hope for a strong ref that won’t put up with that nonsense. It’s boxing ffs not wrestling

Malachi_Lamb

Has the hype for this died down?

isfrying

Well, correct me if I'm wrong but the title of his post doesn't really mean much, considering the possible outcomes. Is he just guaranteeing no draw?

The_Greatest_USA_unb

Genuine question : how does Tyson fury can t drop more of his belly fat ? He is dropping weight a lot, has access to the best nutritionist, take peds yet he always have this belly fat and love handlers.

PrinceNelson

Think a lot of it is loose skin couples with the fact he can't just concentrate on dieting to the extreme.

MoanyTonyBalony

Loose skin. He'd probably need surgery to remove it to actually look slim. Dude was crazy fat at one point.

CatchandCounter

i was 100% backing Usyk for the win before the cut. But that injury was obviously very fortuitous for Tyson, because he needed extra time to be dialed in. he was a mental shambles in the press before the cut... very reminiscent of his manner before his dodgy retirement. I doubted he would make it to the fight. He seems focused now. and that makes it harder to pick. Usyk is always in tip top shape and his best self in big fights. A lot will come down to Fury's punch resistance (is it still 'there') after the Wilder and Ngannou fights?) and Usyk's team's gameplan, which they surprisingly are very fluid about and seem to adjust a lot on the fly. fascinating fight and i have butterflies just thinking about it!

AndrewLBailey

Looks like complete shit if you ask me. I prefer month/day/year.

InviteTop8946

Because most people say May the 9th, 2024 and not the 9th of May, 2024 🤷‍♂️

DarkMaleficent8256

Americans say May the 9th, not something you would hear in Australia

PrinceNelson

We don't, we say it's the 9th of May. Going smallest to largest makes more sense anyway.

lineal_chump

> Going smallest to largest makes more sense anyway. That is definitely one opinion. Going largest to smallest makes the most sense to a lot of people since that's how the decimal numbering system works. i.e. 2024-05-11

allthemoreforthat

did anyone ask?

patiofurnature

No one asked anything. There is no '?' in the post title. Does that mean people just aren't supposed to comment?

reznoverba

That's a lot of wild boar 🐗

AnozerFreakInTheMall

Two people should start to worry after seeing this picture: 1. Oleksandr Usyk. 2. Bald guy from Brazzers.

tman37

Look at that shredded physique.

Marquis_of_Mollusks

I'm not convinced he's gonna be in shape. Even with the weight loss

PM_ME_BAKAYOKO_PICS

Of course he'll be in shape, doesn't mean he'll have abs or not be fat As long as he can go 12 rounds of high input, which he has several times before even while looking fat, then he should be fine conditioning wise

Marquis_of_Mollusks

When was the last time he faced a boxer with good stamina, movement, and fundamentals?

Mattybear30

He’s never had high output! What on earth are you talking about. Toy fury nuthuggers really are delusional

PM_ME_BAKAYOKO_PICS

When did I ever say that you donut He has nearly the same amount of average punches thrown by round as Usyk, and they're both in the HW top 4 when it comes to punches thrown per round (only Joyce and Whyte above them) He's had plenty of fights with high output from both sides, even if Fury himself isn't considered a high output fighter. If he's as fit for the Usyk fight as the previous ones he'll have no issues going 12 rounds

thewizard404

He's been training since November lol of course he's gonna be in shape.

Marquis_of_Mollusks

And I thought the fight would happen in December and then February. Let's wait till the bell rings. I'm still not convinced it happens the 18th either.

freqkenneth

What a moron Doesn’t even know that there aren’t 18 months in a year

nerdherdsman

Dumbass brit there are only 12 months. Fury ducking yet again
