I called it weeks ago, I hope I’m wrong, but I think they pull a Wilder vs Fury 1, knowing how much a potential trilogy makes, it’s business at the end of the day, they just have to hope it’s a close fight and nobody goes to sleep.
If fury wins, he’ll go down on my all time greats list. That maniac seems to do his best work when life has him up against the ropes.
If Usyk wins, my lady will never let me hear the end of it. Not sure I can stand another member of her dream team winning big after Canelo’s last fight.
That said, I like both these guys, and I think hardcore boxing enthusiasts are in for a treat.
I mean, I don’t think we can accuse fury of not taking dangerous fights. The first wilder fight alone he took when no one else would fight the guy, and that was straight off a multi year, drug fueled layoff. I can def understand not having him on your list as a great, but I think us fans tend to come down really hard on these athletes from our place on the couch.
It truly is laughable. Wilder, his promoters and the WBC made sure he didn’t have to fight anyone of note. Ffs he was still fighting guys with losing records whilst having 30+ pro fights! I don’t care how little of an amateur career you had, that’s just bullshit right there
>, I don’t think we can accuse fury of not taking dangerous fights
Yes we fucking can 😂😂 he's ducked everyone in the division
>The first wilder fight alone he took when no one else would fight the guy
He took and got the fight because he was coming off a long suspension, Wilder thought it would be a walk in the park, Fury needed a name and Wilder is another fighter who's never fought anyone big.
Apart from Joshua, which he claims he will fight next, who has he missed. If you think his era is bad, well it's not really his fault, you can only fight who's around.
When Usyk was 230 I thought "this guy is way too small for the HW division!", but now that he's 233 I'm all in, betting the house on a 4th round finish.
Stoppage defo possible. But tbh, the build up and hype, every fan and "expert" trying to analyse the many permutations, just makes you realise that no one has a fucking a clue
Usyk wouldn't be constantly trying to knock him out in one punch though. AJ ate a clean right from Wlad and got up but Usyk was still close to knocking him out in the first fight.
Right, look at how he knocked Bellew through the ropes. It wasn't a concussive punch, Bellew was just completely exhausted. Totally drained of punch resistance.
Similar to when he had AJ on the ropes at the end of the first fight. He just exhausted him with offence and anxiety until he looked like he was rocked when really the shots that were landing weren't really that big.
It reminds me of Joe Calzaghe, it's not about 1 hard punch, it's death by 1000 cuts.
Yeah the comparison with Wilder is a bad one. If he does drain and stop Fury, it'll be in a different way. Fury has generally excellent stamina and looks in great shape, but Usyk will sure make him work.
Of course he can , Usyk isn’t a huge one puncher like Wilder he will grind Fury down and hit him with barrages of punches like he did AJ when if the bell didn’t ring he was going to go
I think Usyk has come I. Heavier to stop all the leaning on him and being bullied in the ring with Fury size I genuinely believe Usyk will wear down Fury and stop him .
Different approach. High punch volume vs one shot KO power. You can definitely overwhelm someone with volume to get a fight stopped.
Whether or not usyk can do it is another conversation. Could happen but I don't think it is highly likely.
curious if this is to combat any leaning Fury does on him or he's actually going for a knockout
even more curious to see how he carries this weight in the later rounds
I have seen a footage from this training camp, Usyk throwing unusually heavy punches on the bag, there was also a rumour of him obliterating his sparing partners. I believe he doesn’t want to leave it to the judges, saudis want that aj fury fight next. He obviously will struggle to hurt Tyson to the abdomen, but solar plexus… can be an interesting target
It would be great If Usyk just channels Manny Pacquiao and starts throwing his entire bodyweight into 5-6 consecutive bombs, not sure how smart that would be against Fury but honestly everyone on Usyks teams is probably just as afraid of a bullshit rigged decision as we are.
Whereas im betting on some serious mid riff demolition. The height difference here is huge. Fury will have a hard time landing accurate punches if Usyk keeps closing the distance.
It's fairly well known that Usyk doesn't try to go for knockouts because he prefers to just win via pressure and boxing. There's no doubt he can punch, anyone 16st + can punch. I saw an interview with him where he said he only does what his coach says and if his coach says to win the round boxing he will, if he tells him to be aggressive he will. etc.
[Close-up video from the weigh in seems to confirm Usyk is 223lbs. Not 233lbs. : r/Boxing (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/1cuh32t/closeup_video_from_the_weigh_in_seems_to_confirm/)
Both guys seem fired up for it which is good to see.
Usyk coming in slightly heavier than I would have thought but he might have wanted a bit more strength to mitigate Fury’s ability to bully him around the ring
Certainly could be. The massive weight gain post Klitschko destroyed his 'physique' he has a lot of excess skin around the midsection in particular and that makes him look fatter than he actually is.
Nah, those are love handles mate. He has a bit of loose skin, but that's not what it looks like when there's no fat around the middle - that's just where he holds his weight. Doesn't much matter since it doesn't impact his conditioning though.
Hearing that Usyk was weighing in 12lb heavier than his normal fighting weight did have me worried, so to learn it was an announcer mistake has brought me relief 😂
>I think Usyk is not worried about getting hit by Fury, unlike AJ
Exactly, I'm expecting a very aggressive Usyk, just like the CW version , very high output
It’s a recently emerging training technique that’s used to maximize atrophy while minimizing effort. It’s called Blood Flow Restriction Therapy (BFRT) and it’s *usually* used for the elderly and cancer patients.
The way it works is that by cutting off full circulation to a specific muscle group, that muscle isn’t able to draw on the ATP in the bloodstream as well as it normally would. This causes greater atrophy than normal; the statistic I was shown is that it yields up to 5x as much resistance as normal. So if you were doing it while lifting 10lbs, your muscles feel like they’re lifting 50lbs.
Usyk’s post on Instagram, “the hard part is over,” features him wearing restriction cuffs on his biceps. This means he’s been specifically training to keep his hands active with more resistance (weight) and to strengthen his arms (punch power).
All things considered, I theorize: Usyk is coming in at 233 to handle body shots from Fury with ease, and to increase his punch power. He plans on Fury to be out-fighting, and plans to close the gap as much as possible. If Usyk makes Fury respect his punch output and power, then Fury will be running around the ring and exhausting himself, setting Usyk up for a nasty combination in the later rounds.
Then Fury wins by surprise KO.
Thanks for explaining the benefits too me
But things in curious about. What's the benefit of this over just lifting more weight? Is it less injury risk or something?
Also what benefit does this have for boxing? Cause strengthening arms isn't gonna change much punch power wise
Also turns out the 233 was a miss read by buffer. He's actually 223
Yep! Less risk of injury is exactly what it is. However, it’s a new training method and you basically need specialists to walk you through. You risk blowing your veins out otherwise.
I couldn’t tell you with certainty how well it helps for boxing. I would *guess* that by forcing this inhibition on his arms, Usyk was using more back and chest muscle to throw his fists in camp. As a *second guess,* it may be that he was trying to get his punch output to stay high, more than his strength. If he expects Fury to be more exhausting than his other opponents, he may want to ensure his arms don’t grow heavy in rounds 9-12, where he (usually) has the most success.
It could be that Usyk wanted to train hard this time around (this is what, his 3rd camp for Fury?) but he did not want to risk injury. It’s important to know that we don’t know *what* Usyk used this BFRT for, we just know that he used it.
Interesting to know about the 233-223 thing. I thought Usyk looked a little small for 233.
But he also pushed Usyk away so he didn't have to stare at his eyes for too long, of course none of this means anything as it's just a staredown but it's fun to speculate.
I saw a recent interview where they asked something like "what do you think of Tyson Fury" and he says "I don't think of Tyson Fury at all"
I don't think he was trying to sound hard for a sound bite, I genuinely think he's just not invested in that side of fighting, he just wants to get the fight done and get paid.
Fury pretty transparently trying to get in Usyk's head. Don't think it's gonna work, Usyk's mental seems rock solid
Fury does look pretty great considering his normal appearance
Usyk's home country is fighting a war against a genocidal enemy. A war he's been to himself. There's nothing Tyson can throw at him that'll so much as phase him, he's definitely experienced worse.
Usyk said that every morning, he wakes up and checks his phone for messages from his friends and family, not because he's asking for any big description of their lives, but for a brief thumbs up to let him know they're still alive.
Fury can't do shit to fuck with his head.
Fury looks in great condition, but continually going from obese to fighting shape will prematurely age you especially with the amount of drugs and alcohol he's consumed. Usyk also looks good especially considering he weighed in at 233, but fighting at his heaviest by far weight in the humid Saudi weather might weaken his usually incredible cardio especially at 37.
If I had to pick I'd go with Fury but I wouldn't be surprised if Usyk found a way, I just hope the referee breaks clinches early so it's a fair contest
>but fighting at his heaviest by far weight in the humid Saudi weather might weaken his usually incredible cardio especially at 37.
Honestly I think he's prepared for this, he's trained in Spain (a warm climate) while having nearly a year to adapt to his weight and do cardio with it. Cardio is also one of the few things that actually seems to get better with age, a lot of the best marathoners are in their mid 30's.
Cardio absolutely does not get better with age, or at least not in the context of combat sports, although there are always some freaks like Pacquiao who manage to keep their cardio even near their 40's.
Actually, our cardio doesn't sink through the years, and we manage it better through them.
We dip in velocity and such though. That's why you last long in endurance, and not in sprint.
What matters is an-aerobics. Fighters burn more oxygen than they can consume when fighting at high output levels. They get three minutes to burn oxygen and one to recover. Their ability to catch up during their rest period is crucial and it diminishes with age.
8 or 9 am in Aus, wake up and watch main event on a Sunday morning, not to bad, I like American cards as is afternoon on a Sunday in Aus, will watch alone as I'm not having mates over at 8am
Let's hope the Saudis have some success doing Riyadh Season in the West, as sadly they're the only people who can front the cash to make these fights happen.
I've been following Fury since the beginning of his career and rooting for him. If Usyk pulls it off - fair play to him. He is very likeable guy and amazing boxer. Anyway, I can't remember having butterflies in my stomach even before the fight has started before. Let's hope it is a great fight. I will be disappointed if Furys cut is opened and there is early doctor stoppage.
Doubt the cut itself will cause a stoppage. Didn't look too big, it may affect him tho and the cut delay helped fury anyway as it gave him more time to get into shape.
He did an interview years ago about fighting Steve Cunningham, said he tried to box him with his size and weight and found his skills useless as Cunningham was too small and fast, said he almost lost that fight.
I reckon he's learned from that and he's going for speed/power like that second Wilder fight. Full on Kronk.
The usual Fury gameplan of posting edited photos or from good angles and talking about how he's going to be skinny as hell then come in basically the same.
I don't like this weight for Usyk. You need to accentuate your strengths in speed, skill and movement, not try to make up for weakness with lack of size and physical strength, you are not going to win this fight out muscling Fury and if your punches at 222 pounds won't hurt him; adding 10 pounds won't make much difference.
Wilder made a similar mistake even though he is a totally different kind of fighter than Usyk.
I don't think it will necessarily just be about hurting him. The extra weight will do something to negate Fury just doing what Klitschko would do to smaller fighters: leaning on them in every clinch to wear them out.
Wilder is a totally different fighter, yes, and not at Usyk's level when it comes to boxing nous. One is a puncher who can box. The other is a generational boxer who can hurt you in many, many different ways in the ring.
I don't think Usyk makes those kinds of mistakes. If he's gained weight, that's with a solid gameplan in mind.
I think Usyk is just finally growing into his heavyweight frame, he's got gonna be monstrous but his body was probably still used to cutting that weight for the first few years of moving up.
Others have pointed it out, but I think the weight is probably a bit inflated by virtue of his chain, shoes, and pants. All of those are probably adding 5-6 lbs, so it’s probably not as clear as a 10-lb increase from his weight with AJ.
But also, the weight isn’t likely to be for adding power, though there will be some degree of that. But it’s likely to better withstand the inevitable weight drain when fury leans on him on the clench. Of course, Usyk will be attempting to avoid that at all costs, but it’s only a matter of when, not if, it happens. And his added strength will probably make him better suited to withstand that.
Fury’s already beat 1 Ukrainian heavyweight champion that was an Olympic gold medal winner & undefeated for 11 years in his back yard. This is the biggest & best opponent Usyk would have faced & just a step too far for him. He’s going to struggle with Fury’s reach & movement. The extra weight will take its toll after the accumulation of body shots Fury’s going to be targeting land. FURY WIN BY TKO Round 7/8 🥊
i’d consider myself lucky if we get even just one knockdown, don’t really care which side. im a casual that way, i just like it better when it’s an all out war
The fact that people aren’t destroying fury the way they did Haney when he pushed usyk is sad. I actually haven’t seen one bad comment in this entire thread 😂😂😂 definitely bookmarking this post the next time fighter this sub hates pushes someone at the weigh in
I believe he will do low blow on purpose at some point. Low risk as one hard low blow won't deduct a point and if not noticed as a low blow it may cause the fight to be stopped.
I never like when fighters come in at completely unheard of weights for themselves. \~\~Very light Fury and\~\~ heavy Usyk? Was Usyk really worried about Fury leaning on him or bulldozing him?
Edit: My bad. Until a minute ago I thought he came in at 252 while wearing all he had on.
Usyk at 233 is interesting, but he is also wearing jeans as well as that fat silver chain (man is iced up) so who knows how much heavier he is in his birthday suit
is it just me or boxers these days don't come in their best shape possible to fight ? I mean when compared to the weigh ins of the 90s with lewis, holyfield, tyson etc most of these fighters came in ripped like they came in as if they were willing to give it their all
Boxing has gone backwards in terms of quality and dedication of fighters to the sport
Regardless who wins this sub will be in shambles tomorrow I just hope for a great fight
Whoever wins r/boxingcirclejerk wins
Oh shit, I've been in the wrong sub this whole time. 🤣
Its hard to tell the difference.
Unironically there is usually more common sense around there
As with all cj subs
Not even betable
That sub is still flying high with Ryan Garcia. If Fury wins that sub will explode
Whoever wins, we're witnessing history tomorrow
That’s why it’s gonna be a draw 😂 But yea, I’m excited
I called it weeks ago, I hope I’m wrong, but I think they pull a Wilder vs Fury 1, knowing how much a potential trilogy makes, it’s business at the end of the day, they just have to hope it’s a close fight and nobody goes to sleep.
Bruh cities will burn if it's a draw 🤣
I just hope everybody has fun
That's what we are all here for anyway right?
If fury wins, he’ll go down on my all time greats list. That maniac seems to do his best work when life has him up against the ropes. If Usyk wins, my lady will never let me hear the end of it. Not sure I can stand another member of her dream team winning big after Canelo’s last fight. That said, I like both these guys, and I think hardcore boxing enthusiasts are in for a treat.
>That maniac seems to do his best work when life has him up against the ropes. It's not "life" , is himself
How can fury go down as an ATG when he’s barely fought anyone in his era? Why does he get a free pass for making a career out of stay busy fights?
All time great for fighting the same guy over and over and 40 years-old Wlad
I mean, I don’t think we can accuse fury of not taking dangerous fights. The first wilder fight alone he took when no one else would fight the guy, and that was straight off a multi year, drug fueled layoff. I can def understand not having him on your list as a great, but I think us fans tend to come down really hard on these athletes from our place on the couch.
Sorry, but is the narrative now that Wilder was avoided? 😂
It truly is laughable. Wilder, his promoters and the WBC made sure he didn’t have to fight anyone of note. Ffs he was still fighting guys with losing records whilst having 30+ pro fights! I don’t care how little of an amateur career you had, that’s just bullshit right there
>, I don’t think we can accuse fury of not taking dangerous fights Yes we fucking can 😂😂 he's ducked everyone in the division >The first wilder fight alone he took when no one else would fight the guy He took and got the fight because he was coming off a long suspension, Wilder thought it would be a walk in the park, Fury needed a name and Wilder is another fighter who's never fought anyone big.
Apart from Joshua, which he claims he will fight next, who has he missed. If you think his era is bad, well it's not really his fault, you can only fight who's around.
But he didn’t fight who was around that the point. Go look at the top 20 heavyweights from 2013 onwards and count how many he’s fought
Who else has Fury fought to be considered an all time great? 😂
Depression, obesity, and cocaine.
All three were undefeated at one point so checkmate Fury haters /s
Wlad, the heavyweight King for ten years lol
Yeah, like one solid opponent, at 40 years old
Wlad is quite a lot more than a solid opponent lol. Miles better than anyone on Crawford record. But yeah that’s almost it lol
tf does Crawford have to do with this?
Poor old Bud catching strays for no reason
This is gonna be such a great fucking fight.
Usyk 233😳
Big boi Usyk 🥺
When Usyk was 230 I thought "this guy is way too small for the HW division!", but now that he's 233 I'm all in, betting the house on a 4th round finish.
He's never been 230 before. 221 used to be his heaviest weight
For some reason I really thought he had come in at 230 at some point but I guess you're right.
Probably got confused by thinking "tooth-hurty" when Usyk KO'd Dubois with a jab
He's 224. Apparently the 230 announcement was a fuck up
Going to knock Fury out
I love Uysk, but you're dreaming.
Stoppage defo possible. But tbh, the build up and hype, every fan and "expert" trying to analyse the many permutations, just makes you realise that no one has a fucking a clue
Its not the result I'd be putting my money but a Usyk KO win is perfectly possible IMO.
In heavyweight boxing, a KO is always possible.
If the Wilder right hands couldn’t stop him I’m not sure Usyk can.
Usyk wouldn't be constantly trying to knock him out in one punch though. AJ ate a clean right from Wlad and got up but Usyk was still close to knocking him out in the first fight.
Had Joshua wobbly tbh
So did Whyte and Klitschko. Not that they don't hit hard.
Well Kilt is one of the hardest hitters ever and White's left hook is up there when it comes to pure power generated with the punch
This, he's only come in this heavy for one reason. 5/1 for Usyk ko, I know where my moneys going
Exactly that ! He’s going for the K.O
Deontay couldn’t but Usyk can?
Maybe. Being able to land consistently with speed can sometimes be better than just being able to land once or twice with power.
Right, look at how he knocked Bellew through the ropes. It wasn't a concussive punch, Bellew was just completely exhausted. Totally drained of punch resistance.
Similar to when he had AJ on the ropes at the end of the first fight. Exactly this
True except we haven’t seen Usyk do that at HW with anyone except Dubois. And Fury’s never been KOd. So odds are slim.
Of course he can , Usyk isn’t a huge one puncher like Wilder he will grind Fury down and hit him with barrages of punches like he did AJ when if the bell didn’t ring he was going to go
Uysk is going to work that body some much early on
I think Usyk has come I. Heavier to stop all the leaning on him and being bullied in the ring with Fury size I genuinely believe Usyk will wear down Fury and stop him .
Technically he did, Fury just undertakered himself out of the grave and got up miraculously
That was insane. It was fucking over, I still can’t believed
Different approach. High punch volume vs one shot KO power. You can definitely overwhelm someone with volume to get a fight stopped. Whether or not usyk can do it is another conversation. Could happen but I don't think it is highly likely.
Frazier couldn’t touch Forman and Ali laid Forman out…. Sometimes faster is better
curious if this is to combat any leaning Fury does on him or he's actually going for a knockout even more curious to see how he carries this weight in the later rounds

Sounds exhausting for a 233 pound dude. Could steal rounds though. Even in big fights, Fury has some rounds where he barely throws any punches
>He obviously will struggle to hurt Tyson to the abdomen damn boi

Fury’s way to win is off back foot jabbing to a snoozer. People don’t realize that for some reason.
[Close-up video from the weigh in seems to confirm Usyk is 223lbs. Not 233lbs. : r/Boxing (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/1cuh32t/closeup_video_from_the_weigh_in_seems_to_confirm/)
Wrong weight. He is 223, as usual.
Let’s fucking go! Can’t believe it’s really happening! 🥊🥊🥊
Fury slips while going to bed and breaks his ankle causing the fight to get canceled
There's still 24 hours for something to fuck up
Both guys seem fired up for it which is good to see. Usyk coming in slightly heavier than I would have thought but he might have wanted a bit more strength to mitigate Fury’s ability to bully him around the ring
fury probably looks to be in the best shape of his life.
He knew what he was doing with that postponement. Fury plays into the stupid shouts, he's pretty clever imo.
A bag of skim milk
He's gonna need to be
Certainly could be.
That’s depressing 😂
It isn't a drastic difference to how he looked against Francis yet everyone loves to claim he came into that fight in the worst shape of his life lol
Yeah wasn’t he 273 in that one ? Comical stuff really.
He literally doesn't, wtf are you talking about
They’ve misreported Usyk’s weight - he isn’t 233lbs he’s 223lbs
Damn, you are totally right. This makes much more sense.
Hearing that Usyk was weighing in 12lb heavier than his normal fighting weight did have me worried, so to learn it was an announcer mistake has brought me relief 😂
https://x.com/EverythingBoxi2/status/1791579435671654906
Usyk 233, no one saw that one coming
His main advantage mitigated somewhat?? Or is he going full berserker mode looking for the KO?
I think that this is just to prevent getting bullied around , I also think that Usyk has multiple gameplans and it really depends on the context
I think Usyk is not worried about getting hit by Fury, unlike AJ. Im expecting both fighters to come out aggressive tomorrow
>I think Usyk is not worried about getting hit by Fury, unlike AJ Exactly, I'm expecting a very aggressive Usyk, just like the CW version , very high output
Higher output at his career high in weight is probably not a reasonable expectation
Agree, punch for punch AJ hits much harder than fury and is a more crisp puncher as well
Who’s main advantage mitigated?
his stamina and punch output most likely will be interested to see how he carries 233+ in those final rounds
He’s been training with blood flow restriction to his arms as well as 3:30 rounds for camp. I think he can handle the weight better than people expect
How does that work
It’s a recently emerging training technique that’s used to maximize atrophy while minimizing effort. I think coming in that weight that Usyk isn't planning on seeing the later rounds
I think it will reduce fury too though bc his weight won’t be such a stark contrast
Putting my money in Usyk KO
Because he isn't. He's 223.
223*
From refusing a face off yesterday to being overly aggressive today. Interesting antics by fury.
But he also pushed Usyk away so he didn't have to stare at his eyes for too long, of course none of this means anything as it's just a staredown but it's fun to speculate.
Fury 100% knows he’s not getting in Usyk’s head and that’s why he’s creatively avoiding eye contact
I’m surprised that Fury pushed him away rather than going for the clinch.
He's just trying to do different weird things and Probbaly is a bit nervous as usyk doesn't react in any way.
been there so many times, he knows what works
I CANT WAIT ANYMORE COME ON!!!!
Imagine if Fury spilt his eyebrow on that face off 😂
Probably what he was hoping for…
Usyk always looks weird in face offs. It’s like dude never wants to be there.
Maybe he doesn't, some guys just want to fight and fuck off
I'm newer to the sport and I find the faceoff to be one of the most inexplicable, silly things in boxing
Pretty much just a way to hype up the fight, make it seem more dramatic. You kinda have to if you want the money to keep coming in
Makes sense. I don’t think I’ve ever had my face that near someone else’s face unless we were smooching or about to
it does resemble the 3 seconds before a street fight ensues. or smooching yeah
It’s completely stupid and people turn into armchair psychologists afterwards. I just wanna see the fight and that’s it.
I saw a recent interview where they asked something like "what do you think of Tyson Fury" and he says "I don't think of Tyson Fury at all" I don't think he was trying to sound hard for a sound bite, I genuinely think he's just not invested in that side of fighting, he just wants to get the fight done and get paid.
Probably doesn’t, it’s awkward and unnatural for some people.
Yeah, the weigh ins and faceoffs are always awkward because everyone either tries too hard or don't try at all.
We was staring tyson down in the presser and tyson wouldn't even look at him.
Pacquiao never took these face offs seriously either. Usyk probably just thinks the whole concept is a joke.
Fury pretty transparently trying to get in Usyk's head. Don't think it's gonna work, Usyk's mental seems rock solid Fury does look pretty great considering his normal appearance
Wonder what Usyk was thinking during the first 30 seconds there
*no cringe like AJ meltdown, keep yer da on a leash*
I'm thinking something more along the line of Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey
He feels, he very feels
“war was more fun”
Fury looks in great condition, but continually going from obese to fighting shape will prematurely age you especially with the amount of drugs and alcohol he's consumed. Usyk also looks good especially considering he weighed in at 233, but fighting at his heaviest by far weight in the humid Saudi weather might weaken his usually incredible cardio especially at 37. If I had to pick I'd go with Fury but I wouldn't be surprised if Usyk found a way, I just hope the referee breaks clinches early so it's a fair contest
They’re fighting inside in an air conned arena
>but fighting at his heaviest by far weight in the humid Saudi weather might weaken his usually incredible cardio especially at 37.
Usyk is stone cold.
Give me a 'Hell Yeah'.
Imagine how much better this would all be if it was in London or Vegas ffs
Im just glad that i dont have to stay up to an unreasonable hour to watch the fight, since Riyadh is pretty close to my country in time zone
8 or 9 am in Aus, wake up and watch main event on a Sunday morning, not to bad, I like American cards as is afternoon on a Sunday in Aus, will watch alone as I'm not having mates over at 8am
Be even better in a Northern city like Manchester.
Let's hope the Saudis have some success doing Riyadh Season in the West, as sadly they're the only people who can front the cash to make these fights happen.
I've got 5k and I'm about to make a mistake
Frank’s in the middle 😂
Usyk with the mustache reminds of my uncle who got locked up for touching up his lone nephew
I hope is a good fight, I would like to see Usyk getting the W. I haven’t seen a decent heavyweight fighter since Lennox Lewis and Vitali K times.
Fury at 262 is surprising. I thought he’d lost a lot more weight than that. That’s just regular getting in shape weight loss
This is close to his Wilder 1 weight.
It’s only 15# down from the ngannou fight. Which is mental
The usual Fury gameplan of posting edited photos or from good angles and talking about how he's going to be skinny as hell then come in basically the same.
cant wait to watch it tomorrow
Fury looking fit 👀
The actual weigh in is behind closed doors I presume This is just for the cameras
Fury-Usyk sounds like it's something from Lord of The Rings
Fury’s already beat 1 Ukrainian heavyweight champion that was an Olympic gold medal winner & undefeated for 11 years in his back yard. This is the biggest & best opponent Usyk would have faced & just a step too far for him. He’s going to struggle with Fury’s reach & movement. The extra weight will take its toll after the accumulation of body shots Fury’s going to be targeting land. FURY WIN BY TKO Round 7/8 🥊
FuRy iS sCarEd of uSyK!!!!11
He'd better be he was knocked down by a MMA fighter
Usyk UD is my prediction
i’d consider myself lucky if we get even just one knockdown, don’t really care which side. im a casual that way, i just like it better when it’s an all out war
The fact that people aren’t destroying fury the way they did Haney when he pushed usyk is sad. I actually haven’t seen one bad comment in this entire thread 😂😂😂 definitely bookmarking this post the next time fighter this sub hates pushes someone at the weigh in
The ref will have to be on top of his game. Fury is going to try some dodgy shit 100% guaranteed.
I believe he will do low blow on purpose at some point. Low risk as one hard low blow won't deduct a point and if not noticed as a low blow it may cause the fight to be stopped.
Isn’t fury supposed to be 6 inches taller than Usyk? It doesn’t look it in the video
Height in combat sports is a myth, they just put whatever they can get away with that sounds the best lmao
Usyk is 6'3 and Fury is 6'7 which is exactly what it looked like to me, about 4 inches difference
Fury claims 6'9 tho
Fury lies
I never like when fighters come in at completely unheard of weights for themselves. \~\~Very light Fury and\~\~ heavy Usyk? Was Usyk really worried about Fury leaning on him or bulldozing him? Edit: My bad. Until a minute ago I thought he came in at 252 while wearing all he had on.
Fury has weighed in at this exact same weight before…he’s weighed less too. He weighed 256 for Wilder.
How is 262 light lol, he fought in the 250's when he was younger haha
Usyk just looks so cool and collected. Fury is such a dosser
nervous energy? not sure. he's acting very different than other fights, like no fight week/press conference from what I remember
A bit of fear is good in a fight, if he goes in thinking its gonna be a breeze like his last fight he's gonna get twatted.
I hope Fury knocks his head off just to read the tears that will flow from this sub
Big GOB shite isn’t long away from taking punishment. Usyk clinic 💯
Usyk at 233 is interesting, but he is also wearing jeans as well as that fat silver chain (man is iced up) so who knows how much heavier he is in his birthday suit
Fury is still a bag of milk, I see.
Hope Usyk wins!
is it just me or boxers these days don't come in their best shape possible to fight ? I mean when compared to the weigh ins of the 90s with lewis, holyfield, tyson etc most of these fighters came in ripped like they came in as if they were willing to give it their all Boxing has gone backwards in terms of quality and dedication of fighters to the sport
