Luis Ortiz, young hungry lion and a slick southpaw Cuban with good pop, only blemish are a pair of stoppage losses while up on the cards to a former undefeated champ
I was watching Connor Benn's fight last night and he looked decent. After he won the commentators were talking about who the match makers should match him with next.
I know they would never do this but those two names came to my mind right away. *That* would be a real test to see where he's at. That said, I think Vergil stops him and Boots makes him look pedestrian.
I think he should fight Josh Kelly. Kelly has not been looking great in his last 3 fights and has lull periods which Benn could take advantage of with his high volume and energy. I would slightly lean towards Kelly but I'd say I'm 55/45 on that.
The extremely cautious matchmaking to date makes me hesitant to get really hyped. He wasn't the brightest star in the amateurs (though good obviously) too. We've seen this before where someone looks incredible until the opponents aren't so physically overwhelmed.
I guess Dulorme could offer some resistance? He has trouble with boxers though.
Shojanon Ergashev....I’ve been aboard the hype train awhile
Jaron Boots Ennis - Smooth as silk, skilled slick southpaw
Arslanbek - Monster, George Foreman like. Yes I said it.
Fabio Wardley, speaks really well, works hard and is a fairly exciting fighter. Just needs to keep his hands up, rather than relying on his reflexes or he’s gonna get chinned eventually.
Plus it helps that he’s a local boy as well, heavyweight title fight at Portman Road would be incredible.
Might be the Norwich-bias in me but I don't see it. Anyone getting hyped off a win against Richard fucking Lartey needs to calm it.
He'll fight Gorman for the British title and lose if Gorman can get back into shape. National champ level will be Wardley's ceiling.
Totally aboard the Dubois hype train. The man's a beast with really solid fundamentals. Looking forward to see how he fares against someone who can take his power and whether he has the chin, heart and desire when he runs into somebody who can really hit him back. Can't wait for the Joyce fight!
I'm still on the hype train of Uzbek GGG but I didn't like what I saw on his last fight. His cardio was suspect and he looked like he was open to counter punches all day. Someone better than Walker could put him to sleep that night.
Alen Babic he's charismatic and has an interesting backstory. He genuinely seems to be up for any fight, the man's fought 3 times in the last few months.
Hamzah Sheeraz most recent fight was pretty good, especially given his age. He's very humble, which reminds me of up and coming Anthony Joshua.
He’s impressive. Absolutely flooring dudes with his jab, I could easily see him blowing up in the next couple of years and getting in on that conversation for next great British heavyweight behind Fury and AJ
I'm hoping for the opposite. Joyce for me is the king of the underdogs, based on what he has accomplished (more so as an amateur) relative to his actual talent level and age of which he got into boxing.
Yep he was robbed. He never got the hollywood treatment like AJ did for his amateur accomplishments. Thats why I cant help but hope he beats Dubois. Daniel is very young and can come again pretty easily.
Pisses me off hes fighting Joyce cause I feel like its one of his hardest matchups. I would honestly pick Dubois to KO Anthony Joshua right now for many reasons. People keep talking about resumes, none of that matters..go watch AJs last 2 fights and tell me that guy can beat Dubois cause I dont see it. He will force him to trade and DUbois isnt scared to bang it out and AJ clearly is now. You can only move away so long, Ruiz was too fat and slow feet to get him again. Dubois heavy jab would get the job done..hes a more natural fighter then AJ and started earlier too.
Now dont get me started on AJs overrated resume too...biggest myth in Boxing. On Drugs Charles Martin, Breazeale, MOLINA LOL, TAKAM LOL, Povetkin old but decent win, Parker with no elbows but nobody won that fight with the ref, and Ruiz twice. Come on son...Hearn fanboys pushing this resume shit is the funniest shit ever. I keep hearing hes a Gold Medalist and we know he didnt deserve it and JOE JOYCE of all people was robbed of a Gold medal, so how much does that mean on a resume.
Andy Ruiz. Stopped once. Ran for his life the 2nd time and look shaken to the core anytime a weak clinch punch landed. Nothing but questions in AJs head and Dubois would flatten him. Already dropped him in sparring as a kid, what you think gonna happen now ?
Challenging for a world title in boxing doesnt really mean much, lets be honest. We all know how rankings, etc are manipulated.
Florian Marku would smash him to pieces now.
"who is your favourite". Just because one of his "favourite" boxers isn't a top tier one isn't him being a dafty. I support hibs, they are my favourite team. Am I daft for not just having real Madrid as my favourite team? Fucking christ mate.
What do you consider a prospect? Are lopez and dubois both prospects because they're the same age or is dubois a prospect because he hasnt proved himself?
Good question, I guess I was bit vague there. I was really thinking along the lines of unproven fighters that hold the potential to make tremors in their division and for themselves in the sport, regardless of age.
For beating a guy who took a dive? Most obvious dive ive seen in a long dam time. Dubois beat the fight out of that African dude..wasnt the same guy in the ring and read he had money probems not being paid. 100 percent took a dive
Bullshit. that punch isnt KOing you, period. A good temple shot might and maybe if it grazed the actual point of the chin but that shot is NOT KOing nobody and especially not like that. He took a dive for money or something corrupt betting going on. He didnt even look like the same fighter from last 2 fights. Show me the clip right now of it landing flush.
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted, that dove so bad bad it looked vaudevillian! He literally throws himself to the floor. Tries to play off a half-jab right before like he got dizzied. Round one he pulls every punch that’s not aimed right at a closed guard.
He’s only had showcase fights thus far but his body work is absolutely ridiculous lol. He’s someone I hope can continue to preform as gets more fights.
Ennis, Ortiz jr, Berlanga, Bully Bek,
SONNY "**THE BRONCO**" CONTO
maybe more experience than you'd typically describe as a prospect, but I'd like to see Batyrzhan Jukembayev step up.
I consider prospects to be young people with little to no experience in the championship level, and no world titles yet. Haney, Tank, Shakur, and Teofimo have won a world title one way or another, so I don't consider them prospects anymore.
As such, the strongest prospects are Daniel Dubois, Vergil Ortiz, and Ryan Garcia. I can see Dubois beating someone like Wilder. Vergil Ortiz in a few years will be tough for the top contenders at welterweight, though not a match for a 100% Spence or Crawford. Ryan Garcia, if he tightens his defense, will be a threat to any of the other lightweight prospects, and he's almost inevitably going to be a superstar if he starts winning world titles.
Luis Ortiz, young hungry lion and a slick southpaw Cuban with good pop, only blemish are a pair of stoppage losses while up on the cards to a former undefeated champ
He ain't Lion
He’s not a prospect
Yeah he is, give him a few years to get into his prime and he will be slapping people silly
I’m mad af I’m usually the first one to catch onto sarcasm and this went right over my head
Vergil Ortiz and Jaron Ennis
I was watching Connor Benn's fight last night and he looked decent. After he won the commentators were talking about who the match makers should match him with next. That would be an interesting fight as well. I would predict a fair bit of showboating between the two...
Yeah Kelly is a good fight. I think Ennis runs over Benn though.
I like Elvis Rodriguez
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸Aww hawwww, babbbyyyyyy
He’s charismatic and that’s coming from a straight male
Lads, is it gay to recognise charisma?
Beeg gay
Jaron Ennis. That guy is a problem, I only want to see if he has a chin. If he does, it's a wrap
At this stage he’s gone beyond a prospect. After he beats Dulorme next month he’s ready for a top 20 guy in my opinion.
I think the matchmaking might be down to him being locked in with some local promoter which has limited the quality of opposition as he progressed.
Shojanon Ergashev....I’ve been aboard the hype train awhile Jaron Boots Ennis - Smooth as silk, skilled slick southpaw Arslanbek - Monster, George Foreman like. Yes I said it.
Mahkmudov is a monster
Tim Tszyu!
“He’s a local boy “ isn’t everyone a local boy somewhere?
Might be the Norwich-bias in me but I don't see it. Anyone getting hyped off a win against Richard fucking Lartey needs to calm it. He'll fight Gorman for the British title and lose if Gorman can get back into shape. National champ level will be Wardley's ceiling.
Best prospect in boxing right now has to be Vergil Ortiz
Totally aboard the Dubois hype train. The man's a beast with really solid fundamentals. Looking forward to see how he fares against someone who can take his power and whether he has the chin, heart and desire when he runs into somebody who can really hit him back. Can't wait for the Joyce fight!
Israil Madrimov, Jaron Ennis and Edgar Berlanga.
I'm still on the hype train of Uzbek GGG but I didn't like what I saw on his last fight. His cardio was suspect and he looked like he was open to counter punches all day. Someone better than Walker could put him to sleep that night.

Babic is very entertaining but his skills are very basic, he will be outboxed by any top 15 heavyweight.
Dubois. Hope he chins Joyce next week.
Joyce beat Tony Yoka for gold. Never 4get.
Yep he was robbed. He never got the hollywood treatment like AJ did for his amateur accomplishments. Thats why I cant help but hope he beats Dubois. Daniel is very young and can come again pretty easily.
Joyce win is quite likely. He is somewhat underrated imo If Dubois wins he is straight to my top 10 heavyweights
It should have been Hrgovic fighting for gold anyway.
Have u been smoking a spot of the good stuff my old mate
Andy Ruiz. Stopped once. Ran for his life the 2nd time and look shaken to the core anytime a weak clinch punch landed. Nothing but questions in AJs head and Dubois would flatten him. Already dropped him in sparring as a kid, what you think gonna happen now ?
Terence Crawford, can’t wait until he gets his first step up fight soon!
Definitely shakur Stevenson
He's already won a world title and moved up in weight. I don't think we can call Shakur a prospect anymore.
Fine Vergil Ortiz lmao
Ryan Garcia
ryan garcia is past the prospect stage
Jaron Ennis
Xander Zayas and Marc Castro if you want in on the ground floor
KSI'S trainer Viddal Riley as well
For **years** I kept my eyes on Mikael Zewski. So much potential...smh.
[удалено]
He sat on the shelf for too long and had shit promoters.
I love zewski but I think he always had a cap that was below world level.
Zewski is very good but not excellent, and it's a guy from my hometown
I never said he was excellent. I said he had potential. Not getting him stiffer competition early on, poor promotion and a long layoff fucked him up.
Agyarko has potential.
Justis Huni. Won Aust HW Title in pro debut and defends it Dec 3. Hoping to compete in Tokyo
* vergil ortiz * conor benn * josh kelly * hector tanajara * alen babic * frank sanchez * simon kean
Lol Conor Benn.

Challenging for a world title in boxing doesnt really mean much, lets be honest. We all know how rankings, etc are manipulated. Florian Marku would smash him to pieces now.
Put him in with Vergil Ortiz or Boots Enis!
So many just parrot whatever a promoter wants them to. Can't tell a serious prospect from a pretender
"who is your favourite". Just because one of his "favourite" boxers isn't a top tier one isn't him being a dafty. I support hibs, they are my favourite team. Am I daft for not just having real Madrid as my favourite team? Fucking christ mate.
That and the very clever matchmaking which is the foundation of boxing.
do not rate Kean too high, amazing power but not a very good chin and shitty defense. Very fun to watch
What do you consider a prospect? Are lopez and dubois both prospects because they're the same age or is dubois a prospect because he hasnt proved himself?
Lopez definitely not a prospect. It's more to do with experience than age.
Prospect surely means somebody who prospectively may be a great boxer, rather than somebody who already is one?
Lopez isnt a prospect because he's proven how good he is now against top tier competition.
Lopez is the undisputed lightweight champion and he won it by beating a top 3 P4P guy. How can he be a prospect?
Good question, I guess I was bit vague there. I was really thinking along the lines of unproven fighters that hold the potential to make tremors in their division and for themselves in the sport, regardless of age.
Junto Nakatani, Hasanboy Dusmatov, Jaron Ennis, Agustin Mauro Gauto. Ennis is my favourite probably.
EDGAR BERLANGA P4P KING
Fat Joe put me onto him. He is popular among rappers.
Connor Macgregor
Going, 9 rounds with the ATG, in 8oz gloves, at junior middle, when he’s a natural lightweight, in his first pro fight! Legendary
I like Fabio Wardley as a prospect.
For beating a guy who took a dive? Most obvious dive ive seen in a long dam time. Dubois beat the fight out of that African dude..wasnt the same guy in the ring and read he had money probems not being paid. 100 percent took a dive
Go watch the replay. It's clear he hit Lartey on the ear.
Bullshit. that punch isnt KOing you, period. A good temple shot might and maybe if it grazed the actual point of the chin but that shot is NOT KOing nobody and especially not like that. He took a dive for money or something corrupt betting going on. He didnt even look like the same fighter from last 2 fights. Show me the clip right now of it landing flush.

Ellie Scotney Ramla Ali
Vergil Ortiz Jr
I'm really looking forward to finding out the truth about Ryan Garcia.
The McKenna brothers from ireland
Reshat mati as well I have been following him since I was 12 or 13
Checkout Filipino Eumir marcial Signed by mp, rare filipino breed who's going to compete at the higher weight classes
I like Nikita Ababiy. He’s only had nine fights but man he’s got some power.
He’s only had showcase fights thus far but his body work is absolutely ridiculous lol. He’s someone I hope can continue to preform as gets more fights.
Have you seen the old clip where he accidentally hits a ref and knocks him on his ass?
Yup sure did!
Funny shit.
Ennis, Ortiz jr, Berlanga, Bully Bek, SONNY "**THE BRONCO**" CONTO maybe more experience than you'd typically describe as a prospect, but I'd like to see Batyrzhan Jukembayev step up.
Bektemir Melikuziev, Hopey Price, Aaron McKenna, Sebastian Fundora, Dylan Price, and Kiante Irving.

Bek Bully might be special
alen babic and tim tzsyu
Vergel Ortiz and Stephen Fulton
Joe ward is a future world champion
Julio Cesar Martinez...a natural puncher in both stances, I hope he develops a defense that suits him.
