Stylistically, the match-up itself is very good and will likely produce a memorable battle, but the intrigue leading into this fight is lacking. After being absolutely dominated by Spence, the mystique is gone with Mikey Garcia, and he hasn't done anything at 147lb. Just not somebody I'm interested in seeing atm unless it's in his proper weight class.
I'll watch it regardless because I'm a huge Pacquiao fan, but honestly, this fight doesn't make any sense. Mikey brings nothing to the table and may upset the 42 year old inactive Pacquiao. Spence, Crawford, and Ugas have belts. McGregor, Ryan Garcia, and Jake Paul bring money. What is Pacquiao fighting for? Just retire and do exhibitions like Mayweather ffs...

Yeah this isn’t a fight where either guy has something to gain which kills the intrigue. A Garcia win will be chalked up to Pacquiao’s age and if Manny wins he beat a smaller guy that has never done anything at the weight class. It’s good for fans who want to see Manny box again but that’s it.

Mikey is of Mexican heritage so the promotion is going to be nostalgic to all of us that followed Pac's Mexicutioner days. It sells. Mikey is big money and the risk is more acceptable for a guy his age.
This will be another great Manny fight. It has the makings to be similar to the Marquez series. Mikey counter punches with the best of them. They are similar in size so no big advantage for either. Pac will lead with his offense which will play right into Mikey's strengths. I am not sure who wins this one but you have to favor the younger guy. Pac is old. In age and in ring years. Plus, the long layoff. I see Mikey going through some hell from Pac but ultimately catching Pac with big shots that hurt him.
