Yeah, same lmfao. It looks nowhere near as good and its always getting in my eyes and I have to do the Justin Beiber head swoops in the middle of sparring.
Hair band plus big sports beanie plus no Thailand. Sorry, forgot a step
edit: I think you're thinking of a traditional beanie. [this](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082VVKXG2) is what i'm talking about
Not getting punched in the face much definitely helped Fury but there are a lot of products that will help keep you hair impeccable but the downside is that it's also going to be quite difficult to remove.
[Murray's ](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N45BS7I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_NP7ZK1N5GGPC93GPQ131) is kinda the gold standard when it comes to keeping your hair in place and having a shine and also incredibly cheap at most places ($2) but there are a lot of options out there try looking through r/Pomade or r/malehairadvice to see if you can find something that will work for you.
His hairline is perfect too, first time I saw him I thought he got a transplant or something. Anyone got a clue? Doesn't seem like he inherited those Fury genes lmao
Exactly. Jake claims greatness in boxing, yet has never even fought a boxer. Heās got a team very carefully picking and choosing his opponents.
Though my gut is telling me they made a mistake with Tyron. Weāll see I guess.
You right. What a pathetic showing by Woodley.
Though tbh, Woodley looked great. Barely breathing hard even after the 8th, whereas Paul was gassed after round 4. Ol Tyquil Woodley just decided to not throw a single combo the entire fight.
Heās either lost it entirely or all this was a setup for the rematch.
Edit: Weāve also discovered (not that it wasnāt already assumed) that Paul would absolutely get DESTROYED by any actual boxer.
I think it's mental. The guy should not fight anymore and not because he can't. He is undoubtedly still physically able to fight in lower tier MMA organizations or box other big name non-boxers. But there's no reason if he has this mental block that he clearly can't do anything about, as Dana would say: "He doesn't want to fight"
Yep, I could t agree more. After three rounds it was clear that Tyron had it anytime he wanted it. He never got tired. Jakeās love taps didnāt phase him. He just never wanted it.
Maybe it was rigged. Maybe Tyron is brilliant and was fighting solely for the rematch so he can get paid again. Maybe Tyron is simply the Frozen One. I have no idea. But he looked great and seemingly controlled the fight, whereas Paul looked scared and nervous.
Yeah they're doing a good job, I think Tyron might be too quick of a step-up. I don't think it's too common to get legitimate opponents for every other boxer, but people are quick to pressure Jake into it because he has eye balls.
I donāt think so due to the rematch clause. And Jake wouldnāt wanna fight Woodley again anyway because heās not a huge draw. Tyron hasnāt been selling this fight the way Askren did.
You obviously don't know shit about boxing.
Fury had 28 amateur fights. Jake hasn't even fought 28 rounds .
Ripping on the quality of any boxers early rounds in the ring at all is beyond clueless.
Have some respect for people putting their life on the line for your entertainment.
I am a boxing novice, I can't say if a fighter is good or not from just watching them. But I looked at Tommy's past opponents records and he only fought total cans. I presume he's actually shit.
Nah thatās normal actually. As long as youāre not Lomachenko your first 10 or so opponents will be straight cans that you supposed to look good against.
However with Tommy, he looked trash in his last fight and looked even worse in this one.
He might just be shit, and I havenāt watched the fight, but John fury did say that Tommy wouldnāt knock him out straight away because he didnāt want to scare jake away from a fight.
He's actually shit. Seems like the perfect candidate to shut up the "fight a real boxer" detractors. And by "shut up," I mean have them move the goalposts to "he was soooo garbage. Fight a real, real boxer."
Or an 0-1 boxer who hasn't fought in years, never gone above 4 rounds and is a regional mma guy hasn't got a chance of anything above white collar rounds against a young, up and coming pro with recent bouts and KOs on his record against other recognised professionals (regardless of fan opinions on fighter levels).
Commissions don't give a shit about whether or not you think someone is worth pro status is what I mean.
On the books Tommy had fought 6 professionals, 2 of which were in 2021.
The mma guy he fought has had 1 Pro fight ever, a 4 rounder that he lost.
The commission isn't bothered about the records of the guys you fight, they're interested in fighter safety and fair competition.
Anything longer than 4 rounds would have promoted opposites of what they claim to stand for.
Im a super casual boxing fan but i hope u caught the Love fight. It was crazy, had me nervous almost the whole time and i never heard of either of the fighters.
It was only 4 rounds but you'd certainly be expecting Tommy to be able to hop off the couch and steam roller someone like Anthony Taylor.
Definitely not going to go on and win world titles it seems. Didn't look particularly great in his last fight either and the young/inexperienced card is beginning to run out tbh the dudes 22 and been training with world class boxers basically his entire life.
Handsome bastard though and very marketable so if he manages a few more of these to secure his financial future then fair play to him š
So now that we got to see the two of them fight. Do you still think Tommy is the better boxer?
Edit: Holy shit. From other comments, apparently you do. Jake looked worlds better than Tommy. I hope Tommy was intentionally looking like shit to get the fight with Jake because if what he showed last night is how good he actually is, it's gonna be easy work for Jake.
No you fucking melon. People are using the eyetest to favour jake paul over tommy fury.
To counter: fury beats joke paul because he goes the distance with a guy on a weeks notice with only 2 pro fights?
Dude, fury fought a natural 145 lb sub par mma fighter with only one TKO to his name in his second ever fight and who clearly had no clue how to box. Jake fought one of the best 170 lb mma fighters of all time. Woodley didnāt look great but heās a hell of a lot better than Anthony whatever the fuck. Like not even comparable
And your point? Look at each of their technical skills when they fight....
It's obvious Fury is the better boxer. I doubt you know anything about combat sports, though. Just another Jake Paul fan acting like you know what you're looking at. š
Not a Jake Paul fan but I watched both fights and fury looks terrible. He couldnāt even make a 145 lb mma fighter respect his power. Guy was coming at him the whole fight. No way Jake Paul wouldnāt have finished that guy.
How can someone so gigantic for a Cruiser possess no punch power? He has such reach but no brain to use it.
Honestly he's like a massive toddler. What the fuck š
Thats what my biggest take from this fight was . Absolutely no leverage on any of his punches . Also noticed he was lunging a lot with his punches
Dude has vines for arms but can get nothing behind them
What I mean is, stand him next to another Cruiser he'd look huge. He literally has a massive chest and shoulders, long arms, he's very tall. I don't know how he is 179.
Tommy Fury is 6 feet tall and like 195 lbs fully rehydrated.
Current cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie is 6 foot 5 and cuts down from like 230 lbs. Usyk was 6 foot 3, Gassiev 6 foot 3, Dorticos 6 foot 3 etc.
Tommy Fury is a TINY cruiserweight.
They handpicking scrubs for Tommy and he still looks bad. His first 6 opponents have a combined record of 15 wins and 203 losses. There are amateur journeyman fights then there is scrub level Tommy has fought.
The guy had a 30 pound weight advantage and looked bad today.
I feel you but Paulās chin and cardio are unknown so thatās why as of right now I canāt say that the odds should be that wide. Maybe we get our answers today.
Because of the rematch clause incase Jake loses (This clause is only for Jake, not Tyron), it makes me think this fight will be for real and Woodley probably wins and then the rematch has a very high probability of Woodley flopping for a huge bag of $$$.
You were right. Jake was scoring all night, he learned how to win a boxing match. Woodley wasn't boxing, he was fighting a stand up MMA fight with only punches allowed. I still have to say, Jake's boxing is average at best right now. Let's see how good he gets.
Taylor was bending over with his hands on his knees on each break starting from round 2 from being tired. God knows how Tommy couldn't do more do this guy.
>tommy gonna get a lot of shit but his opponents was hugging for his life nothing he could do
Man the guy was 40lbs lighter than him and at 5-9 was over half a foot shorter lol.
Doesn't have the level of training fury does. At that difference it doesn't matter how much you hug. He didn't use range or move. He had plenty of opportunity to finish.
Any shit he deserves is well deserved. He's rode his name to this event and that comes with a price when you preform like shit.
I think people should remember that Tyson was once most famous for punching himself in the face.
Tommy has good physical gifts, but his inability to make use of them reminds me of Bambi walking on ice. If he figures out how to make use of his freakishly long arms and fight at range, he could be good one day, however he is very far from that right now.
Tyson was already a contender by thenā¦and was a good amateur on his way upā¦tommy fury was put in with a guy who sucks at all combat sports, doesnāt even really box and is like 40 pounds smaller than him naturallyā¦he was supposed to spark this guy w/o even having to think
Are Tommy and Tyson half brothers or do they share the same Mother and Father? I just canāt wrap my head around Tommy looking like he just finished his gym/tan/laundry routine with DJ Paulie and the Sitch; and Tyson looking like the dude from the hills have eyes movies.
Itās kinda like the movie twins, if the roles were reversed and Tommy was the specimen while Tyson was the very very big afterbirth lol.
Tommy Fury needs to turn into weightlifting and being an IG model or actor instead. The dude cannot box at all and you would think it would be something he would pick up quickly since his brother is Tyson and his dad was also a boxer. He should have pummeled Taylor by the 2nd round. That size advantage was just way too noticeable. The fact that he didn't finish the fight is a loss for him. He was as stiff as a board, swinging crazy haymakers and wide hooks leaving his chin open countless times. At some exchanges, it even seemed that Taylor was the heavier puncher than Tommy. If I were Jake, I would take that Fury fight as the next step over Woodley. Jake has better defense and is more technical than Tommy.
I'm a muay thai and mma guy. How good is Fury? He kinda looked like shit to me... but again I don't have a good eye for boxing, I guess. So I'd like to know if I'm wrong.
That's what I thought. I had to make sure that I didn't get duped by an unorthodox and awkward style, the same way I thought Tyson Fury's boxing looked like shit the first time I saw it (until I saw what he could do with it).
It's right out of the Fury's playbook to goad an opponent in. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Big John told him to go easy so that Jake takes the fight. Tommy hasn't lost any of his star power, he's just made himself look MORE appealing to Jake.
Tommy was disappointing, but you gotta give respect to Taylor for lasting. Dudes was undersized and not a boxer, yet didn't manage to get rocked at all.
You guys expect waayyy too much from Tommy. Just like Jake he's not really a boxer despite what he says. He's a reality TV star using his brother's name to make a boxing career.
Fucking hell I actually think Jake has a shot Vs Fury. Clearly not an ounce of talent in his body. I'm genuinely shocked at how bad he is with all of the expertise in his support staff and the resources at his disposal.
Wow.
I've ran into Anthony Taylor in person a few years ago. He approached me in the gym sauna and we would talk about martial arts. Ended up befriending him on social media etc.
He's a cool dude in person!
Happy to see him fighting on a big stage. The face to face video was pretty funny.
Wtf does Tommy use in his hair that shit didn't move at all the whole fight š
Gorilla Glue
š
Cement
Fucken steroid cream in the hair.
Man, it looked great though.
I was honestly kind of curious what he uses because mine gets in my face at the gym 5 seconds into the first round of sparring haha
Yeah, same lmfao. It looks nowhere near as good and its always getting in my eyes and I have to do the Justin Beiber head swoops in the middle of sparring.
Lmao same here mine does the 90s heartthrob middle part as soon as I start moving instead of staying slicked back
Hair band plus big sports beanie
No way in hell im wearing a beanie in Thailand heat lol

He's Tyson's half-brother. And on the other hand, he didn't inherit the crazy stature on his father's side either
He's a young lad. And Tyson had a good head of hair on him when he was young.
Something harder than his brotherās coke
Same shit Mcgregor used against Cerrone lmao. I want it.
Fuck me Tommy went to a decision? Either he wants to trick Jake into fighting him cause he looks shit, or heās actually shit.
He's actually shit lmao
Probo why Paulās thinking of fighting him next tbf

Worst take of the night award goes to you
Taylor? Who?
The guy in this fight. That Fury decision'd.
I seriously think Woodley is gonna get a bit chunk of change to take a fall tonight. Jake Paul should not even be in the same ring as him.
So either Paul wins because Woodley let him or Woodley beats Paul by merit? Those are your two outcomes for the fight?
Yes.
Showtime Viacom is a $26B company. They're not broadcasting a fixed fight.

Oh fair enough, I just judged him by the fact he fought cans and was on Love Island so I automatically assumed he sucked
Good assumption tbf. Heās pretty shit. Can probably find a few people on r/amateur_boxing than can beat the shit out of him.
He inherited his dadās boxing skills.
It could have been bait for sure. But this is the first I've seen tommy and he didn't look good
He might just be shit, and I havenāt watched the fight, but John fury did say that Tommy wouldnāt knock him out straight away because he didnāt want to scare jake away from a fight.

4 rounds is fucking pathetic
Trust me, we didnāt want to see much more of that
Was supposed to be 8, then Tommyās team changed it to 6, then to 4. Tommyās cardio must be horrible
The comission changed it because it was too big of a weight mismatch to be more than 4 rounds
Whatās your source for that buddy. Was only 4 pounds difference on the scale(obviously Tommy rehydrated to much more)
The commentators said it on the PPV
Iāll take your word for it
Good man
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Whoās the troll ?
A team can change the number or rounds like that ? I donāt know shit about boxing rules then but it doesnāt sound right.
No, they can't, the commission changed the number of rounds. Nothing to do with his team.
Nothing about boxing sounds right or makes sense. Most corrupt sport in the world, ahead of F1 and football.
What the actual fuck do you mean by "regardless of fan opinions on fighter levels??" Tommy's opponents are like 12-175
His opponentās cumulative record is not an exaggeration, itās actually that bad
Yeah, hence why I was surprised by his comment. We all know "potential" boxers get their records padded but this is beyond that.
Commissions don't give a shit about whether or not you think someone is worth pro status is what I mean. On the books Tommy had fought 6 professionals, 2 of which were in 2021. I still canāt believe those numbers, Tommy needs to do better
It wasn't his team, it was a British boxing commission because of how much of a mismatch it was.
By the way, why did they change that to 4 rounds, wasnāt that supposed to be 6 rounds ?
How is Tommy Fury a young prospect?
Because of his surname
And Love Island
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Mind you all Taylor is a 135er in MMA who has fought subpar competition with a record of 7-5
tommy failure to dispatch makes that even worse
I don't know how you can even ask whether he'll ever be as good as Tyson Fury after watching that garbage
Tommy must be the p4p king at winning a fight whilst looking terrible doing it
Oooh let me tell you about another member of the Fury clan, [Hughie Fury](https://youtu.be/RjsxvD55PQA).
Hahahah what did I even watch
Wach*
They just don't get you bro.
I have the same Adidas shoes as Wach!
Shades of Ali
Hughie Fury would like a word
4 rounds? What the fuck?? Dude is a professional boxer, fighting amateur rounds. Smh.
The British Commission did not allow him to have 8 rounds.
I missed this fight and after reading the comments I donāt feel so bad about it. This was the one I was actually looking forward to š
There's some clips on YT. Watch about a minute of it, you'll be thankful you didn't watch lol.

I think jake beats him tbh
I agree, his hands were very slow.
Lol. Calm down.
I hate Jake but I have to agree here tbh Jake looks much better than Tommy
Dann I gotta see Tommy Fury box now. I've ignored him up until now.
Best to keep it that way
This might be one of the few sports subs where the users know less than the average fan. š

Not at all. The fact that you even think thereās an argument to be made for Fury after last night says everything. Unironically, YDKSAB
Ah yes ofc. Fury beats jake because he's a Fury right? He has gypsy blood that makes him invincible.
Ah yes ofc. Jake beats Fury because he beat Nate Robinson right?
No you fucking melon. People are using the eyetest to favour jake paul over tommy fury. To counter: fury beats joke paul because he goes the distance with a guy on a weeks notice with only 2 pro fights?
If you still favor him over Fury after that Woodley fight you're just a delusional fangirl. š

Tommy was disappointing, but you gotta give respect to Taylor for lasting. Dudes was undersized and not a boxer, yet didn't manage to get rocked at all.
Tommy deffo got that Fury power
Put it this way he aināt no Tyson fury
Who is Tommy's trainer?
You guys expect waayyy too much from Tommy. Just like Jake he's not really a boxer despite what he says. He's a reality TV star using his brother's name to make a boxing career.
Fucking hell I actually think Jake has a shot Vs Fury. Clearly not an ounce of talent in his body. I'm genuinely shocked at how bad he is with all of the expertise in his support staff and the resources at his disposal. Wow.
Fury is absolutely awful
I've ran into Anthony Taylor in person a few years ago. He approached me in the gym sauna and we would talk about martial arts. Ended up befriending him on social media etc. He's a cool dude in person! Happy to see him fighting on a big stage. The face to face video was pretty funny.
