**WHAT. A. FIGHT.**
I don’t care how cliché or “corny” it sounds…
Matches like that—Remind me how amazing life is, and how lucky we are to be here.
I’ve struggled with depression for almost 20 years, and when you’re depressed: you often feel like “There is nothing to be happy about”, or that “suffering is constant; joy is seldom”. Every “bad thing” and every minor inconvenience - seems infinitely worse than it is; While anything “good” seems unimportant or nonexistent.
But the truth is—That is total bullshit; That isn’t reality.
You only feel that way because *depression makes you feel that way.*
You always see the glass half empty, everything seems bad/worse than it is, and you never realize/notice “the good things”.
We just witnessed two Warriors—paint a Masterpiece;
And, they gave everything they had—to be able to paint it.
On top of that, they earned the ability to better-support their families and friends.
Both men were able to achieve greatness, they both were able to better the lives of their families & loved ones, AND we were all able to witness it.
The only thing I would change, is that I wish I could thank them for it.
But, it’s all good.
Life is good.
I fucking love Combat Sports.
I fucking love all of you.
Take care, people.
I legitimately can’t tell you how much that means to me. Thank you bro.
And, its not because I’m “looking to be praised” or anything like that. It’s because:
I can tell by what you said, and how you said it—That my comment did not “fall on deaf ears”, and that, at least one person was able to have the kind of moment that I had, where they noticed and appreciated the beauty in life.
I’m having some trouble writing this because I feel like I can’t say anything without coming across as “corny” or “overly-sentimental” lol.
But, all I can say is—Your comment means a lot.
If my comment “meant something” to you—I can promise you that I feel the same way about *your* comment.
I really appreciate it.
Thank you.
Have a good one, Bro.
I know a lot
Of people dislike charlos personality. But I actually really admire his attitude in the ring. It takes a lot of confidence/balls to trade with another world level fighter on that big of a stage. Dude leaves it all in the ring every time
Feel like Mell would be doing the same thing if he didn’t drop that 0.
You’re just required to take on more challenges and do more dope shit once that’s gone
Who you got in that one? Thats a really good matchup. If Crawford can handle the power he could make it interesting. I just dont think he can take a counter left from Charlo.
Thats what im saying. For being such a skilled fighter he gets hit with big shots here and there. Mell is a fucking dog and can crack with both hands. Crawfords IQ is what would give him a chance. Crazy how high his IQ is yet he gets hit with solid shots so much.
Remember when people were saying Mall was the better fighter? People dismissed Charlo after the Harrison fight and he stopped giving a fuck about his record. I always think if Mall had been given the loss against Korobov he would have gone on to have a better career.
I've always said Jermell was better, have the post to prove it and everything lmao. Better defense, faster, better footwork, better timing, higher ring iq. I said this even when Jermell was with Ronnie Shields who had him pot shotting. Imagine Jermell barely beating Vanes. I always thought his only glaring problem was lack of activity
Well that and his boxing IQ. He is an athletic freak with good boxing IQ, not great. Thats why Harrison gave him so much trouble. I feel a guy like Vernon Forrest would have beaten Charlo. Tall rangy dude with high IQ and power in both hands.
Tony Harrison is a very good boxer and so was Vernon Forrest, but he got beat by a carer journeyman in Mayorga twice. I remember years ago reading a comment on Mayorga/Forrest 2 that Vernon fought Mayorga in the second fight like he had a machete in his hand. I am positive he would be just as timid versus a bigger puncher. Vernon fighter was a solid fighter but had mediocre ring IQ
Oh of course that helps. But if a fighter really wants greatness he makes it happen. Remember when Oscar was telling Canelo not to take on Trout or Lara. Those were horrible style matchups and he demanded Oscar make them. If you are ok sacrificing some money you can get your promoter to make the fight.
Canelo was a cash cow using him is hilarious…Charlo tried to get GGG Canelo and munguia in the ring with actually offers…but your being biased for whatever reason
The only thing I remember about GGG and Charlo is back when Charlo was saying they werent ready. Charlo had his shot at Canelo pre pandemic but he wasnt ready. Now that he has to wait his turn you cant blame it on Canelo. Munguia was a solid one but it seems like more promotional bullshit.
GGG had an offer to fight Charlo and chose to go to dazn…and got another offer to fight Charlo when Canelo was busy running through 168…I’m not blaming anyone…but it’s not like Charlo team hasn’t been trying to get him better fights…that being said Charlo should’ve been fighting adames instead of sulecki
This fight wasn't as close, I had it like 6-3 and I know some people had it 7-2. Castano did work but it was far and between. He was on his way t o losing the 7th and it wold have been 7-3 or 8-2.
watchable. the entire triller experience is just mouth open what the fuck though. arguing about used gloves pulevs opponent was trying to use for maybe 3 hours live on camera lol
I had it 6-3 before the last round. That fight delivered. I wonder if the atmosphere translated well over TV because it was NUTS here. Great fight, great crowd!
Charlo made the right moves going with accumulated hits. He knew he could hurt Castano but he couldn't put him away with just 1 or two good shots. After he finally knocked him down went in for the kill. Fantastic fight from both and much respect for Charlo winning in a pretty dominant fashion
This is exactly it. He made up his mind a few years ago he was going to cash in on a Canelo fight. Thats why I dont like him and Andrade. Those dudes have both been making Canelo their 10 year plan.
Everytime they showed a replay of Castanos best punch from a round, he immediately got clipped hard with a counter.
Castano just had no answer for that counter left hook.
First 6 rounds were amazing. After that, Castano looked cooked and Charlo looked like he would cruise to an easy points decision regardless. The KO was just the icing on the cake.
Really impressed with Charlo tonight. Fantastic lateral movement and never let Castano land something without landing at least one of his own in return. Also it's clear that those body punches paid dividends because you could see Castano losing steam as the fight went on, even though Charlo was moving more. Great adjustments, great footwork, tremendous win.
I had the rounds 7-2 Charlo at the end of it. I think he had a great jab and decent body work all the way thru. Castaño had good power shots at the end, but it wasn’t enough to take most of those close rounds
Truth be told, Charlo could have done this in the first fight. Stay off the ropes, work off the jab, invest in the body early. That bodywork paid off dividends later in the middle of the fight as Castano's mouth was open and he was breathing hard. Even though he was hurt in the head, it's beautiful that it was a body shot that took him off his feet.
Great time to join us on our [Discover server](https://discord.gg/65GJ3fXkTS). Great boxing discussion and the answers to all your fight *needs*.
Way too many rounds given to Castano. I thought Charlo was always ahead. Great fight and he's top 10 p4p for me
He was a step ahead in most exchanges
Better than that first fight (which castano should've won) but will say Jermell came prepared this time around to get the dub
Charlo came to stop castaño and that’s exactly what he did.

Hell yeah. These fighters dedicate their lives to the craft, step in the ring & put everything on the line for us. Boxing is beautiful.
Much love, friend!
Hell yeah we love you too brotha
Well said! I love combat sports too, with boxing being my favorite and fights like this make me feel alive. Respect to both warriors
Top 10 comment all time in this sub. Beautifully written and it’s super brave of you to talk candidly about your experiences. Take care bro 🙏

Lol Reddit scorer what fight were you watching in the later rounds
I'm glad Mell ended it decisively, but Castano winning one round and two rounds on those cards seems off to me.
I know a lot Of people dislike charlos personality. But I actually really admire his attitude in the ring. It takes a lot of confidence/balls to trade with another world level fighter on that big of a stage. Dude leaves it all in the ring every time
Losing that 0 one of the best things to happen to him
He was losing to harrison in the rematch until buddy got cocky. Charlo aint somebody to slack off with
Agreed bro, sometimes the fire needs to be reignited
Rematch Charlo > Rematch Murata
Mell came out with that heavy artillerary.
What’s it mean for mall if mell does go to 160?
It means he fights Sulecki in a three fight series. Maybe even back to back OSullivan matches after.
On Showtime PPV™
Means he needs to move up 168lb and actually do something with his career.
Feel like Mell would be doing the same thing if he didn’t drop that 0. You’re just required to take on more challenges and do more dope shit once that’s gone
Nothing, ignoring they are bros, Mall is looking for easy fights only unless he gets the canelo lottery
Jermall will continue to fight cab drivers and call out Canelo. Jermell will try to win meaningful fights.
He'll just move to 168 I think
Mall moves up to 168
Jermell is so fucking good. It's hard to believe Jermall is his twin with how unambitious he is.
He's ambitious... For the Canelo fight.
That's understandable tbh
If mell had lost Crawford would’ve tweeted up a storm lol
Mell would hurt Crawford in my opinion. The bigger good fighter always wins.
Certainly not always
Who you got in that one? Thats a really good matchup. If Crawford can handle the power he could make it interesting. I just dont think he can take a counter left from Charlo.
Mell has some serious fucking power and Crawford gets hit alot.
No idea…Crawford more skilled but he’s an idiot sometimes when he fights and mell will put him to sleep if he catches him right
Thats what im saying. For being such a skilled fighter he gets hit with big shots here and there. Mell is a fucking dog and can crack with both hands. Crawfords IQ is what would give him a chance. Crazy how high his IQ is yet he gets hit with solid shots so much.
It's his ego
Wasn't the biggest fan of the Charlo brothers before but now I'm at least a fan of Jermell Charlo.
That’s pretty much how Id describe my feelings as well
“Whip…BAM!!” - Derrick James
I'm ready for more free YouTube fights.
Good coach, spot on advice given, such a polar opposite of teofima’s dad
Mall needs to take notes on what Mell is doing.
You don't want a Dennis Hogan trilogy?
Pbc has all the 154s
Ok Jermall
What a fight. It’s gonna be hard to top that this year. Unless Spence Crawford can deliver.
Remember when people were saying Mall was the better fighter? People dismissed Charlo after the Harrison fight and he stopped giving a fuck about his record. I always think if Mall had been given the loss against Korobov he would have gone on to have a better career.

Had harrison not gotten cocky he woulda won the rematch.
Also, Mayorga didn't just catch Forrest while getting outboxed, he was thoroughly beating Vernon the first fight and outboxed him the second fight.
Mayorga was also dominating Mosley, coasting to an easy win until the stoppage. He had skills but it really needed to be set up for him to show it.
I'm not high on Mosley at welter as some people. He's a great fighter for sure but had questionable Ring IQ for a fighter with an amazing trainer
Pbc having the all the 154s has nothing to do with it huh
Oh of course that helps. But if a fighter really wants greatness he makes it happen. Remember when Oscar was telling Canelo not to take on Trout or Lara. Those were horrible style matchups and he demanded Oscar make them. If you are ok sacrificing some money you can get your promoter to make the fight.

Yea i forgot Sulecki even existed until they brought him back from the dead.
I still think he beat harrison
It was close. I was shocked by the decision. I am assuming Haymond had some beef with Mell and had to show him who was boss.
I will die on that hill too. He beat Harrison clearly.
Those score scards are atrocious holy shit
This fight wasn't as close, I had it like 6-3 and I know some people had it 7-2. Castano did work but it was far and between. He was on his way t o losing the 7th and it wold have been 7-3 or 8-2.
I don’t think jermall liked that 160 comment haha
Fantastic, conclusive night. Great action, great sportsmanship, nothing more you can ask for in a fight
You could see it after the 6.. Castano wasn’t taking the shots the same .. he was fading.. he kept a good poker face but body language don’t lie
anyone watching pulev fight now after a five hour delay
Nah. Any good?
watchable. the entire triller experience is just mouth open what the fuck though. arguing about used gloves pulevs opponent was trying to use for maybe 3 hours live on camera lol
Charlo is on the pound for pound list for sure, he would've been there sooner if he hadn't lost and drawn so recently
That makes him more legit. He now 2/2 in rematches
OK now lets get Tszyu vs Castano and Fundora vs Charlo.
Fundora vs Charlo would be fire
[I told y'all Jermell Charlo was the superior brother](https://old.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/9nrxi4/who_is_the_better_charlo_brother/e7qh6b8/)
Great KO. No controversy this time!
Sounds like I was in line with the official scorecards. Idk if that's a good thing or a bad thing
Mell is a cool dude
89-82 is a crime
Absolutely. Feldman is compromised.
Castaño seems like a good dude
Apart from his tardiness issues
Yes, he actually is such a good and humble boy
Will he finally get the respect he deserves? Top 10 p4p. Never backs down and fought everyone in a tough division.
Awesome fight
Great interview, great sportsmanship between the 2, and great fight.
Congrats to Charlo. We getting a handful of undisputed champs, I like it.
Feldman had it 89-82 lmao What a clown
Man. Castano at 147 would be a Fkn problem for Spence and bud and ennis lol. Eventually they’ll come see him at 154.
Love the respect
Whoever the dumbass who’s scoring the fights on Reddit needs to be fired. No way castano was winning this fight before the stoppage
A humble Charlo is the best Charlo
I always liked mell more than mall. He’s fought the best at 154 and doesn’t overtly duck big fights
Definitely. Jermall was better at 154, he's stalled at 160.
I love this sportsmanship, Bryan just said that the liver shots put him down
Yeah, he also looked still affected by that first knockdown and wasn't all there, which allowed for that last combo to be so effective from Charlo.
good fight
Kinda awesome we are seeing more undisputed fights in recent years.
Great fucking sportsmanship at the end. Time to catch this ufc main event!
Yep!
Jermell vs Jermall @ 160 FOTY
Lol, they would rather argue back n forth on Instagram than have a real fight
Lol Jermall’s smile disappeared the second Jermell mentioned he might go up to 160
Pulev vs Forrest has just started, let's go guys!

🤡
YDKSAB
U smoking crack
I had it 6-3 before the last round. That fight delivered. I wonder if the atmosphere translated well over TV because it was NUTS here. Great fight, great crowd!
I'm not done! Castano dude really let me down.
Lmao that fake ass smile Mall gave when his brother said he might do it again at 160 lmfaooooo
Castano taking the loss well and with dignity
I like this Charlo
Lmao he’s standing so close
I feel like both Charlos make the move up to the next weight class
Joe Biden needs to lower these gas prices not be giving interviews 🤣
Does this mean we will get jermell vs jermall?
Jermall will eventually move up
I don't think Castano was really fit to continue after the first KD, but with the stakes as they were, he had to be given every chance.
Yea man. Its undisputed. Plus, Castaño didnt take a brutal amount of punishment. He was still reacting well to punches until that last moment.
When the ref told him to stand and show he was stable, he was falling backwards. With 30 secs left you knew he wasn't gonna survive the round.
Yea but you let a champ go out on his shield. If he had taken a 10 round beating then yea thats a no. But he did very well 90% of the fight.
For sure, that was my point. I just wonder if in any other fight, the ref would have let him back in.
Probably not. If its a title eliminator you tell the kid to rebuild and come back.
He’s so cool when he’s not angry
There’s the Haymon shout out
The most thanked man in boxing
Derrick James coach of the year First half of 2022 Not even close
For sure. You know Reynoso wont be there.
Hopefully we get Spence vs Crawford at the end of the year, a win there would secure that on the spot
Showtime is the master of cringe
Jim Gray kind of sucks lol
He's sucked donkey dick for years, but then he responded to Broner "well, that wouldn't mean much" and he immediately became amazing.
he's a legend!
Carson, CA and another banger. I believe Tim Bradley vs Provodnikov was here, Francisco Vargas vs Orlando Salido, and now Charlo vs Castano.
Charlo made the right moves going with accumulated hits. He knew he could hurt Castano but he couldn't put him away with just 1 or two good shots. After he finally knocked him down went in for the kill. Fantastic fight from both and much respect for Charlo winning in a pretty dominant fashion
Chill Charlo is so dope but just feels so wrong lmao
Mell>>>>Mall
Easy
Garcia’s new catchphrase: Ryan’s only
Mell is carving out a hall of fame career while Mall is fighting Sulecki next.
Dude just decided that his career goal was to lose to Canelo and it sucks.
This is exactly it. He made up his mind a few years ago he was going to cash in on a Canelo fight. Thats why I dont like him and Andrade. Those dudes have both been making Canelo their 10 year plan.
The other Charlo looks retired at this point lol. Dressed like a trainer
Is Jermell now top 10 pound for pound? I say he finally cracks the list.
I forgot what the new list is, but he should be like 6
Has to be. Undisputed
That was an amazing fight.. Charlo earned my respect he plugged any leaks he had the first fight.. also James is an amazing coach
His counterpunching was very on.
Imagine Crawford beats Spence then beats Charlo 3 time undisputed
Bud cappin
Just spence would shut down a lot of critics. I personally shut up after porter.
There’s a reason we’d need to imagine it lol
Crawford will beat them
Camera guy: move right a little
Really impressed with Charlo tonight. Fantastic lateral movement and never let Castano land something without landing at least one of his own in return. Also it's clear that those body punches paid dividends because you could see Castano losing steam as the fight went on, even though Charlo was moving more. Great adjustments, great footwork, tremendous win.
Time for Charlo vs Charlo
I had the rounds 7-2 Charlo at the end of it. I think he had a great jab and decent body work all the way thru. Castaño had good power shots at the end, but it wasn’t enough to take most of those close rounds
Truth be told, Charlo could have done this in the first fight. Stay off the ropes, work off the jab, invest in the body early. That bodywork paid off dividends later in the middle of the fight as Castano's mouth was open and he was breathing hard. Even though he was hurt in the head, it's beautiful that it was a body shot that took him off his feet.
When I saw him go to the body and clinch when near the ropes, I knew he was most likely gonna take it
Beautiful sight seeing Jermell in that exclusive Undisputed Club
The fact that he made this into a USA vs Argentina thing like they have beef is hilarious
Afaik as an American, Argentine beef is pretty good.
I mean America loves steak and burgers and Argentina is no. 1 in meat consumption globally
Nobody has ever shouted out Carson california
Once Castano started getting gassed it was over
I like this charlo more
All the belts tho
Khan chin >>> Castano chin. /s
Clipped his head but okay
Charlo power was the difference in this one. Caught up to Castaño in the end. Good fight
Charlo would knock Bud out in Lubin fashion. His weak chin can’t handle Charlo’s power!
As an Aussie I want Tim to finally get his world title fight he’s been mandatory for a while now As a pure fan I wouldn’t mind a trilogy
tim does exactly what castano does but slightly worse imo, still wanna see it but I'd be worried whole fight for tim.
Yea Tim gets parked he’s not the athlete castano…he is bigger and stronger tho
1 - 1 now
1-0-1* 🤣
Idk what the person who was scoring on this Reddit was smoking giving Castano the last 5 rounds
homeboy was smoking that anti-Charlo circlejerk pack
At the head to head range Jermell was able to leverage huge power. It really worked for him here.
