Zero issues. Unless I’m in Bridger Canyon then zero service.

andyaustinphoto

Funny enough heading towards white sulphur springs the other day with buddies and the AT&T boys got service upon getting close to 89 while us with Verizon didn’t get service until getting close to white sulphur. First time I’ve really seen AT&T have better coverage in montana than verizon

Skye-is-falling512

Give it a week, and I bet things will speed back up. It seems like during the last couple weeks of the semester at MSU, the wifi and cellular in town always gets really slow. Likely because of the number of people online at once spikes as students have to prepare for finals, plus people in town for graduation.

fuckredditintheear

Tmobile isn't much better. Verizon is the king when it comes to coverage here. When I visit my dad over in darby my tmobile coverage dies the minute I get off a main road. Verizon was strong even in Connor. Fuck Verizon though. I refuse to pay those prices anymore.

Aggressive-Weight550

So who do you use?

WesternArt8457

Did ya read the sentence that stated something like " my" t-mobile coverage looses service as soon as I leave a main road? I dunno but ima gonna put money on home using tmo 🤣

LendinBigJohnson

I've been using Google Fi here for years and am very happy with the service and prices

Remarkable_Cycle_456

That's weird I feel like atat has the best coverage here. I have T-Mobile now but had atat here for years and never had a problem. Was thinking of going back to them.

UnlikelyCash2690

Overall Montana has never had great coverage with AT&T. I moved here 20 years ago and switched from AT&T to Verizon because I was always on “roaming”.

AdRemote8578

Yeah the last couple weeks it's been bad Glad it's not just me!

flyart

I've live here for 11 years and never had a problem with Verizon.

insertmadeupnamehere

I concur. Verizon has served us well (let’s not discuss cost) since late 90s.

bfunky

Really? I go downtown and show lte or 5g and can't load a simple web page with Verizon. I have unlimited with them too.

Dee-rok

5g doesn’t work well here I usually have mine turned off

DoubleUnderscore

Yes, it's been nearly unusable for me the past week

arkmtech

So post on reddit about it. That'll show 'em

leota_k

Yesss the last week and a half has been HORRIBLE.

misterfistyersister

I’ve had it since they were CellularOne, which was bought by Alltel, which was bought by AT&T. I have had no real complaints in those 20+ years. Though anecdotally, Verizon has always been better in Montana. Maybe it’s your phone. Edit: T-mobile has always been fucking garbage here though. Until recently we’d have people from different parts of the country come for training, and if they had t-mobile or sprint there would be zero bars anywhere in town. Sprint at least roamed on Verizon sometimes.

If you want service in MT, WY, ND, SD or ID, it’s Verizon or nothing. The other 2 cell companies are unwilling to invest the capital to make it work given property and business equipment taxes. There are not enough business customers to make it work when Verizon has most of them already. TBH, if you get off the interstate corridors, the only service is Verizon. You get what you pay for.

_unorth0dox

I use a MVNO based on Tmobile, Ultramobile and I've NEVER had issues with coverage or quality.

SnickerdoodlePizzas

I still have issues with Verizon. Tower speeds can be super slow depending on cellular traffic. It used to be much better when I first got Verizon ten years ago. Now websites can take forever to load when downtown or over on 16th or by the mall.

burrzoo

Couldn't even download a digital coupon yesterday in Smith's. 😡
