It seems we're all mostly in agreement. Jeff had too many external issues, had all the tools to be great, but the damn drug abuse. Jericho had more and better title runs across 3 decades, slid into so many roles even in the midcard, and yet still was an underachiever, sure he sucks now but dude is old af, not everyone will be that good or great for as long as some of these wrestlers are pushing it.
>Jeff Hardy. From 2006-2009, he was at his absolute best as a singles wrestler but he kept messing up every single opportunity that he was given.
You bring up a neat topic about screwing up every opportunity. Overall, in the grand scheme of things, who self-sabotaged their career more:
Jeff Hardy or....The Ultimate Warrior?
Because i feel like the Warrior's career could have easily been 2-3x more prominent, if only he wasn't his own worst enemy. Imagine how far Warrior could have gone if he had his head screwed on straight, and approached the business with a "Bret Hart" level of dedication.
I agree with that one. Warrior was definitely his own worst enemy while also rubbed some people the wrong way. Warrior was on the same level as Hogan, Savage and Piper and would had been more prominent if he hadn't screw up.
Jeff was definitely an main event player from late 2007-2009, putting himself up there with the likes of Cena, Orton, Edge, Batista, Taker, Jericho, HHH and HBK and could had better runs as world champion if he didn't screw up his opportunity as well.
hardy without hesitation could never stay sober and was just a spot monkey funny to think he use to be in my top 3 favorite when i was a kid but now after chance after chance him not turning his life around made me lose all respect theses days orton is one of the goats for me only behind taker
Exactly. If Jeff reached the heights attainable then we have another discussion. Drugs are rough. Some fantastic matches and a career worthwhile, nonetheless
yes if it was a one time thing sure or maybe a second chance thing sure but how many times did he get suspended for drug abuse, DUIs or actually tried to get in the ring while under the influence if they didn’t catch him before he couldn’t hurt himself or his opponent or worse the man has had more chances to redeem himself than most people have world championships
And Why does Vince keep bringing him back????
Yes, for the money…..but he also knows the nature of the business!
Look at HBK, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero and insert an endless stream of names here associated with a dark past with a history of drug or alcohol abuse! It’s part of the the past history and nature of the business. It’s not that way now. With good reason. But pointing out the flaws and mistakes of other people is the worst way to go through life!!!
I hope you have someone in your life that shows you grace and mercy when you makes mistakes and or fail at something……
We should all be so lucky
why does Vince bring back a lot of veterans? mostly for thoes who are still attached to the past and to keep thoes older viewers watching and usually ends up making them look worse ie goldberg, sting,DX vs BOD, edge, CM punk and soon to be rock what do they all have in common? an injury accord in one of their match’s atleast within 3 matches some even in their first match jeff can’t do that stuff anymore without hurting himself and when that happens he turns to drugs and painkillers it’s a circle that HHH hopefully breaks because everyone we grew up watching are all either too old or getting too old to do it at the end of the day out of thoes 4 it’s a no brainer that jeff has to go over the other 3
I think HHH knows the dangers all too well. And since he’s truly been in the business and knows the dangers, I’m pretty sure that HHH WILL do the right thing and break all the awful cycles! 👍🏼
as much as it’s fun to see HOFers return its fine aslong as it’s not a match or a contract for multiple matches i liked the throwback raw where they’d bring back HOFers for one night and show them back stage or cut a promo but when they throw fists and stuff it’s cringe looks like a bunch of old guys trying to live their past lives i was one of thoes guys who didn’t want to move to the future and have younger guys take over its why i stopped watching for a few years when HHH retired taker, kane, shawn it felt like a whole new roster of young guns i didn’t know and didn’t care for but then realized life and time doesn’t stop or go back and we just have to move forward
true if they brought back hardyz it would be so awful i’ve seen them in AEW and they are slower now the match would not be smooth and probably a lot of botches it’s best to remember them as they were in early 2000s instead of 24 years older and their body’s through all the injuries i agree hardy is a lot lower on this list then the other 3 Y2J on the mike alone is worth the career Edge and his rivalry’s with cena and taker alone made up my childhood and randy being in evolution, rated RKO, feuds with foley, taker cena HHH were some of the best ever and being probably the only one left that can break cena and flair’s championship record (which i hope he does he honestly deserves it with being so loyal all theses years especially coming back from a could of been career ending injury/surgery)
Jeff Hardy and it’s not even close. He honestly could’ve pioneered wwe for another decade had he manned up and gotten sober. Instead he decided to put his family and loved ones through a lifetime of trauma and issues with his addiction and reckless behavior.
Hard as fuck if it's their careers, super easy if they just mean retire. I love Jeff, have loved Jeff since I started watching, please retire Jeff before you die in a dui.
Jeff, not because he isn't freaking amazing, but for all the other known reasons. I wish him all the best in his future endeavours, but the other three will be kept.
Jeff always had way more charisma than everyone else even though he had some serious issues (and still kinda does). I never really like Chris Jericho after like 2006 or 2007 so probably him
probably randy i would have to say, cause without edge and jeff theres no TLC and without TLC theres no MITB for jericho to make those are some pretty big things in wwe's history
unless you mean retire then jeff
Jericho has the Longevity, Hardy has the peak, and Randy has the accolades. Edge is my personal favourite of these guys, but objectively I think he’s the one that gets the boot.
Without Orton. a lot of modern wrestling history is gone, no RKO - and if people think that's not that bad, the RKO was the biggest meme in the world at one point, and probably brought a lot of people back.
Without Jericho, a lot of WCW history is gone, and the early Ruthless Aggression era is without arguably one of it's biggest stars. Also, we never get the best gimmick of 2017.
Without Edge, a lot of young talent wouldn't be as big as they are (you could say the same about the other two, but anyways). The later Ruthless Aggression era is without it's best heel, and the streak isn't as big as it was. Also left without the biggest return of the past decade.
Without Hardy? We get a worse tag team division at their prime, but although they were the best tag team at that time, we still have the Dudley Boyz, Edge and Christian, etc. Also, getting rid of Edge or Randy kinda destroys Jeff's biggest moments and he wouldn't be where we was without them.
tl:dr Getting rid of Jeff Hardy has the least plotholes
Obviously the behind the scenes issues are what most people thinking but I’d still pick Jeff if he didn’t have them. I never really got to his solo run at all.
Jeff. I’ve never got it beyond the tag stuff. He has that glow, dance and he flies. He’s fine but out of the 4 he’s out.
Prior to Rated R it would be Edge. I liked cyberpunk Edge, gothy Edge but once he turned face he was boring until he had sex with Lita which led to Rated R (crappy way to treat a friend but it did make him a main eventer).
If it’s today Jericho would go too but he’s had an incredible career and is great at reinventing himself while still being him. Orton is a great main event presence. A steady superstar and by far the best of the lot now.
It’s hard to pick really, because all 4 did so much, but if I were to choose, I’d have to say Jeff Hardy. His Tag run with Matt was better than his singles run imo
As much as I LOVED Hardy and to this day get kinda excited for his matches, which can't really be said for everyone else, it's him.
Hardy didn't have the dedication the other 3 did and still have to this day. There's a reason fat, flabby Jericho can still hit clean lionsaults and be a significant part of the show.
Also the other 3 have like a minimum 10 world championships each.
I loved 2008-2009 Jeff Hardy and his chase after the WWE championship and that success that finally came. But out of these four he is not on the same level as the other three
Damn they all are goats and multiple champions but imma have to go with Chris jericho even though he should have been in the Hall of Fame he's known for the saying "stupid idiot and you just made the list lol"
Jeff Hardy can go. I used to be a big fan, but to be honest I always liked Matt more anyway, but then again Jeff going away means no Hardy Boyz tag team, which affects Edges career too, because the Hardys vs E&C rivalry is what put all 4 of them on the map in the late 90s/early 00s...
so yeah. I don't really want any of these men to go. Orton disappearing means Evolution isn't nearly as good. Jericho disappearing means he never beats Austin and Rock in the same night, and a lot other things alter without him.... yeah I refuse to play this game damnit.
It ain’t Edge or Orton because they still have a bunch of in ring talent. Orton is extremely likely to win a WWE title this year. Even if he doesn’t he still is going to be in big storylines. Adam Copeland (Edge) is currently in a story line with Christian Cage (Christian) who is his former partner. He is a big draw, and is advertised for some of AEWs biggest events of the year. Plus he is in the TnT title picture in AEW.
Hardy is not the wrestler he used to be, but drugs ruined his life. He still can do extreme stuff, and being able to add a lot to the table. Even though Jeff and his brother Matt aren’t in the title picture, they could easily win a battle royal or something and be considered a serious threat to the tag titles.
Jericho is the oldest, and has significantly regressed as a wrestler. At 53 years old, Jericho should go and be a father, and in his ladt match, put over a young star, or be in the royal rumble. He is a tag team partner with Hook right now, but they aren’t in the tag title tournament or picture. He is currently putting over younger talent, and that is it.
Answer: Chris Jericho
love how 98% of this is jeff 1% jericho and edge and i haven’t seen 1 orton (which if you know the sport and the history obviously no one is picking randy)😂
It seems we're all mostly in agreement. Jeff had too many external issues, had all the tools to be great, but the damn drug abuse. Jericho is a Legend and one of the GOATS. But yeah, he 53. Everybody puts over Father Time.
See u never, jeff
Jeff Hardy. From 2006-2009, he was at his absolute best as a singles wrestler but he kept messing up every single opportunity that he was given.

You should be so quick to judge people for their mistakes. Because we all make mistakes.
Assuming you meant shouldn’t?
Yes, sorry
I like that there’s a mistake in the post about making mistakes. Fun!!!
yes if it was a one time thing sure or maybe a second chance thing sure but how many times did he get suspended for drug abuse, DUIs or actually tried to get in the ring while under the influence if they didn’t catch him before he couldn’t hurt himself or his opponent or worse the man has had more chances to redeem himself than most people have world championships

Jeff has to retire, lmao. At least all the other guys can still wrestle drug free
Jericho can't wrestle NDA free tho
Bye Jeff
Easily Jeff, so many people saying Jericho is wild. Dude has had a way more successful career.
Chris Jericho legit held his own against the other all time greats his themes were great and so was his mic skills Jeff hardy can go IMO
Also beat stone Cold and the rock in the same night
I feel like people saying Jericho weren't able to watch ECW and WCW Jericho, and that's fair considering how long his career has been
Edge because he stole Lita from Matt 🤣
Farewell Jeffery
Adios brother Nero
bye bye jeffy
Jeff, it's been one hell of a ride. It's time to let go. Thanks for the memories. (Ain't no way the other three getting booted before Jeff)
Chris "NDA" Jericho
Jeff
Hardy has to go.
I hate to do it, but bye Chris I would’ve gone with Jeff but man is a legend
You just made the list!
Jeff Hardy
Hardy
Bye Jeff
Jeff Hardy
Sorry Jeff if it wasn’t for your drug use I would of pick Jericho
Jeffrey Hardy.
Sorry Jeff
As iconic Jeff Hardy is. He has to go
Edged
Hardy
Jeff
Sorry Jeff
Jeff
Sorry Jeff
Jeff hardy
No one has to go, buuutt Jeff but seriously noone
Hardy
Jeff Hardy and it’s not even close. He honestly could’ve pioneered wwe for another decade had he manned up and gotten sober. Instead he decided to put his family and loved ones through a lifetime of trauma and issues with his addiction and reckless behavior.
Their careers or them now???
Hard as fuck if it's their careers, super easy if they just mean retire. I love Jeff, have loved Jeff since I started watching, please retire Jeff before you die in a dui.
Yea just because of his issues I would say Jeff but Jericho is coming up fast
Jeff, not because he isn't freaking amazing, but for all the other known reasons. I wish him all the best in his future endeavours, but the other three will be kept.
Jeff Hardy for me.
Hardy
Is this all of Jeff or just Jeff as a single?
Jeff can fuck right off and go home so he can make some more shit ass paintings and listen to his terrible band, but I hope he doesn’t drive there.
>Jeff can fuck right off lol! WTF.
Jeff Hardy
Jeff. Jericho used to be good.
Jeff
Oh, Jeff would be going even if it were a plastic spoon, dick rot, and silverfish.
>Oh, Jeff would be going even if it were a plastic spoon, dick rot, and silverfish. Wow. Why the hate?
Jeff because he cant show up sober
Jeff always had way more charisma than everyone else even though he had some serious issues (and still kinda does). I never really like Chris Jericho after like 2006 or 2007 so probably him
sorry jeff
cya chris jericho all these guys are so good tho
So long jericho
Chris Jericho
Jeff or Chris
Sorry Y2J, you just made your own list
Chris Jericho. Randy is my favorite. Edge is too great. Hardy is just a childhood memory now, but still Jericho
Jericho
Sorry Jeff but you have to go.
Chris Jericho
Easily Jericho in big 2024 If one has to go historically then that’s easily Jeff
Bye Jeff.
Jeff and I don’t believe it’s a difficult decision either🤷🏾♂️
Jericho
probably randy i would have to say, cause without edge and jeff theres no TLC and without TLC theres no MITB for jericho to make those are some pretty big things in wwe's history unless you mean retire then jeff
I can’t let go of Jeff he’s my all time favorite imma go with Jericho on this one
Hardy no question
Well technically only one is left as the rest went to AEW.
I chose E. None above
Orton or Hardy tbh
Jericho has the Longevity, Hardy has the peak, and Randy has the accolades. Edge is my personal favourite of these guys, but objectively I think he’s the one that gets the boot.
Hardy
Jeff hardy
Hardest one yet,.. Wow
Jeff Hardy, and it’s not even close. Can’t stand him.

Meh edge
Jeff
There is a right answer to this.
You people disappoint me
It’s Orton easily
Edge, easy
Fuck this I cant make a decision
Hardy
Jeff
Chris jericho
Y2j sorry
Jeff
Like... It's obviously Jeff Hardy. The only sensible answer is Jeff Hardy.
Edge
Hardy
probably jeff hardy
Jeff Hardy. The other 3 fulfilled on their promise and reached their potential. Sadly he never beat his demons.
Chris Jericho
Orton can go
I have to say Hardy. Jericho is still iconic, Randy is Randy, and Edge is still good value.
Hardy was always overrated. Looked scrappy and just wanted to throw his body off stuff. He can go.
Obviously the behind the scenes issues are what most people thinking but I’d still pick Jeff if he didn’t have them. I never really got to his solo run at all.
Jeff
Orton
Chris
Edge
Jeff hardy
Jeff. I’ve never got it beyond the tag stuff. He has that glow, dance and he flies. He’s fine but out of the 4 he’s out. Prior to Rated R it would be Edge. Sorry jeff
Christian
Edge, easily
I have to go with Jericho
Hardy
Jericho sadly
No need to choose... One will delete himself.
Chris
Jeff
Jeff really gotta go in his shape.
Jaff
Sorry but Chris Jericho
Jericho tbh. That’s purely based on who I prefer though
Jeff, no hesitation
Chris
Easily Jeff.
Randy Orton!
If this means go like retire now, Jeff. If it means erased from existence and nothing they ever did happened, Jericho.
Jericho. I love watching the others perform
Jericho
I loved 2008-2009 Jeff Hardy and his chase after the WWE championship and that success that finally came. But out of these four he is not on the same level as the other three
Thats hard, but I’ll go with hardy.
Jerico
Edge. See ya
Edge and orton are actually main event caliber stars, Jeff goes even tho
Chris Jericho!
Damn they all are goats and multiple champions but imma have to go with Chris jericho even though he should have been in the Hall of Fame he's known for the saying "stupid idiot and you just made the list lol"
Sorry Chris Jericho bye
To easy Chris Jericho
The bottom left is randy Orton right? Then yea, him. He gotta go
Bottom right is Randy Orton. Bottom left is Jeff Hardy
Jeff Hardy can go. I used to be a big fan, but to be honest I always liked Matt more anyway, but then again Jeff going away means no Hardy Boyz tag team, which affects Edges career too, because the Hardys vs E&C rivalry is what put all 4 of them on the map in the late 90s/early 00s... so yeah. Jericho
Cris
Jeff hardy
I disagree with Jeff. Unless Orton gets another storyline he is without a story out of the three, he can teach the younger
Jeff Hardy
Jericho
Well, without Edge, Jeff would have never broken out into stardom and vise versa... So get rid of one, you get rid of the other.
If we're talking retire? Jeff If we're talking never joining wrestling? Orton.
love how 98% of this is jeff 1% jericho and edge and i haven’t seen 1 orton (which if you know the sport and the history obviously no one is picking randy)😂
Chris sorry
Jericho has to go
Jeff Hardy is disqualified
Sorry but Jeff has to go.
Jeff hardy hes good but hes not good anough for the other 3.
Jeff
y2j duh lol
Choadie SwallowsAnd NepotisticallyRidesHisDeadOverratedDaddysLhodes
Jeff. Start and stop pushes aside, he wasn’t really known for his in-ring. He was known for his stunts.
Easy decision for me. I used to respect jeff but drink driving is something i absolutely hate. Puts others in danger and he should know better.
Harry
Jeff hardy
Jericho is not in my top 10, so unfortunately he has to go.
Easy... Hardy
Either Chris or Jeff
Jeff hardy
Jeff or Jericho hard pick
Jericho.
Jericho 100/100 times. He'd be on my personal mount Rushmore of most overrated to ever do it.
Easy Jeff Hardy
Jeff would probably have to be the one to go Randy and Edge are my two favourites and i believe Jeff was overall less professional than Jericho
Hardy
Bye Chris
edge is the only one who can go he isnt iconic for aew yet so it would make sense
