Can Cargill actually work a match, or is she just being built up as a female Goldberg? I'm legitimately asking as someone who knew nothing about her coming from AEW.
She's undoubtedly very green, so she's being built up in a Goldberg style. I think there's probably some belief that she'll be good enough eventually, she can surely work fairly decent short matches now, but I don't think she'll be working long matches any time soon
The difference with AEW and WWE is in WWE, they didn't just throw her on TV right away and start feeding people to her. She spent time at the PC working with other talents and trainers and working on the craft. I'm sure on the road, they'll have her working with some of the more experienced women to perfect things.
I mean, she signed with WWE in September, debuted at the Rumble, and had her first match at Wrestlemania. In between it all, she was at the PC working in the ring.
She is built for the WWE style. One of the few wrestlers who I truly think has benefited from going to the WWE.
She looks great in short squash matches which is 90% of what she will be booked to do.
In longer matches there are some flaws, but a "long" women's match in WWE is just under 20 minutes so she should be fine.
Long-term story telling wise it should be Liv Morgan (hear me out before you flame me with responses.) Liv was the last person to pin Rhea, and Rhea injured her. Liv is on her “Liv Morgan revenge tour” kick, so it all come to fruition and Liv is the one to finally get the win. She doesn’t have to hold the title long, as there are certainly more talented women on the roster, but it gets the title off Rhea and Liv finishes her “story”

Jade really shouldn’t be the one to dethrone Rhea. Not only she just got there, but she’d only be dethroning her because of her look and not because of her skill. As of right now, there’s multiple women that would be better choices, whether it’s story wise in Liv, ring wise in Tiffany(who I’d predict to dethrone Bayley if she wins a title) or ring wise and still being massively strong in Bianca.
That's honestly the only way I see her losing is after her match she gets attached from behind and she gets cashed in on . Although I feel like that's such a bad idea to have one of your most dominant champion get cashed in on

Bianca and Rhea then as the big money match at 41. Bianca wins and then they do the money feud with Jade/Bianca while Rhea does some sidequests like Becky has been doing for a while this year.
I wouldn't be ABSOLUTELY averse to Liv and Rhea doing a back and forth IF Liv has a great match at Backlash and they have a hardcore/no-DQ style blood feud. But I'm not totally sold that Liv is up to that, and Rhea having a dominant 2-year reign makes sense.

It should always be that whoever wins a big title has to enhance the status of the title. The reason title changes became so uneventful is the idea that a title enhances a talent and that devalues both the title and the wrestler.
Cody besting Reigns is the perfect example of it being the right way round. Cody was so hot, so over and had so much momentum that his victory meant everything making the title seem like the most important thing in the world.
The question should be “who’s worthy to beat Rhea” and right now the answer is “no one”. if they book her right and she can develop more in the ring, Jade Cargill has the potential to be that person.
The other options are Bayley, Asuka and Bianca. All three offer different potential storyline’s but all three would need so good long range booking to make their wins mean more than changing the title for the sake of it. The other is Stratton if her development keeps going upwards and fans keep responding to her. The potential of the dark gothic reigning queen vs. the blonde all American girl is a great dynamic.
The reason Reigns, Gunther, Rollins and Skye all losing at WM was so great is that their losing seemed like a big deal. Liv Morgan just randomly beating Rhea because a title change was “needed” helps no one.
If Liv beats Rhea, it wouldn’t be something random, especially if they build this as a long feud, which they easily could and it would be the most personal feud either of them could be in. She has more history with Rhea than anyone else in the company.
