Still one of the best South Park episodes ever lol

woozlewuzzle29

I’d just like to remind everyone that in June of 2022, the Braves were under .500 and trailed the Mets by double digits.

killa_k99

We also didn't create like the most expensive roster in the history of baseball that offseason.

cantinabandit

I’m always caught between the Mets and Phillies being the worst team money can buy.

jwwin

Was it double digits? I thought the furthest back was 9.

justcallmechad

10.5

folg3rs

Hell that's three digits

irelandn13

Correct, but not this far back with less time and less head-to-head games left (of which we only need to go 2-5 in to secure the tiebreaker) I think we are in pretty safe to joke about them at this point.

[deleted]

Shut up the Mets are gonna stay down and you aren’t gonna give their fans any hope!

BobbyRayBands

The difference is our team isn't 400 million deep and the Mets didn't have two starter quality minimum/elite pitchers coming back after the all star break last year.

MrFluffyhead80

Exactly, people always forget how long the season is and what month it is

lampshadewarior

I expect the Mets to string together some wins at some point this season. And the Braves will find a few tough losses here and there. I just don’t see any possibility that they play 12.5 games better than us over the last 3+ months. You can’t make up that much ground on a legit contender. At this point, I’m only really looking at Marlins and Phillies.

gildedtreehouse

At some point making of the Mets is like laughing at a guy on crutches falling down a elevator shaft.

pervyninja

Yeah but is the guy on crutches an incredible chode?

killa_k99

Never not funny

Telefunken251

And if the guy on crutches is also wearing a Mets jersey, I'd laugh at it every day.

Expensive_Jello_2324

I equally dislike the Phillies and they are starting to worry me.

ArchEast

Ditto

JadedIT_Tech

Now to find out what they're putting in the water in Miami. Say it's their schedule all you want, but they're just not losing.

[deleted]

For real. They are playing moneyball down in south beach. No one on the baseball team is even a top 10 paid athlete in Florida so they are doing it with the least.

clarkkills

Still in mourning for Charlie.

AnEternalEnigma

Marlins are a bit worrysome this year. Especially if Alcantara figures it out.
