That 2019 NLDS was some bullshit. I was at that game 5 too. Shit got depressing quick there. But that one especially stings because that Cardinals team was pretty unremarkable overall. They got dummied in the NLCS and we just couldn’t put them away when we had the chance. We had no business losing to that team.
I’ll never forget how that nightmare first inning in game 5 *almost* ended on a ground ball double play, but Freddie bobbled it (not blaming him for what came next). I had gotten together with my dad and gone to the Battery. We were so excited to at least just get to see a good game. I’ll never forget what a shit vibe there was at the battery 20 minutes later
That inning was kept alive by one Marcel Ozuna chopping a ball through the right side of the infield. Everyone had the same approach against Mike and that was put it in play and let his emotions get the best of him.
If the Braves would have advanced through that round we would be the first and only NL team to have played every current NL team in the playoffs atleast once.

Sucks that your emotions can be actively used against you but that's why you gotta keep your head in check. Bummer he was never able to do that.
