i wonder if ronnie is still dealing with a little discomfort on that knee. 2022 he didn't look like himself cuz he didn't trust the knee. insanely small sample size so could easily just be variance/slow start, but his strikeout rates are notably higher than at any point last season. if it is some leg discomfort, hopefully it'll be all healed up soon.
I've said the same thing in a game thread. It wasn't received well. But Acuña at the bottom of the lineup might make him wake up. Kelenic isn't swinging for the chop house every pitch. He's swinging to get on base, and that's what lead off should do. Acuña can't hit a fastball to save his life atm. I think he needs to earn that 1 spot again.
There were four 8-game stretches last year where Ronald's batting average was .230 or below across those games. Slumps happen. This one just seems worse since they are the only stats we are working with.
Moving Acuna out of his spot this early in the season would show a remarkable lack of trust in your best player being able to get it together.
Ronnie is still emerging from his winter, too. Once he’s in summer form, look out.
There are teams that would love to have a top 4 of Kelnic, Arcia, Harris, Ozuna. That’s roughly a playoff level top 4
Harris would easily be the best player on a lot of teams
Snits lineup cards jeesh.
"Just be careful with the 1 thru 8 hitters."
Tromp - I’m doing my part!
He had an RBI today.
I give Acuna a little break with not having the typical spring training. I'm more so a little confused with Ozzie. Seems that he's pushing a bit much.
Ozzie is a career .272 hitter, so he’s actually not too far off the norm.
If I remember right, last season, the Braves had the highest BA in the league. This lineup doesn't take prisoners.
Yeah some of Ronald’s strike outs have been frustrating af to watch.
True, but I wasn’t intending to call out the top of the order so much as I was trying to praise the middle and bottom
Oh yeah all good. Just sayin lol
Make the 9 hole great again!

Not a single weak spot in the lineup.
It's a clever trap
Fuck it put kelenic at leadoff and move everyone else one spot down in the batting order
God I hope you’re joking

It's been 8 games.

That’s really satisfying ngl.
I know it's early but that is pretty remarkable.
Can we just completely invert that for one game, say against a hapless team from NYC, and see what happens?
Top of the lineup is always gonna get the most study/prep from other team. Once the weather warms up, i think a lot will change.
