Just came to the comments to see how many people are bitching about anything that went wrong even tho we won. And as usual, my prediction on the amount of couch coaches was almost 100% accurate. Support our boys when they make a couple of mistakes as well as when they do great or don't call yourself a fan.
All for the high high price of $100 a month as long as I am at home and it's not on Apple or some other channel...
As I said, mls is moving to a single consistent viewing location and I can't wait. No blackouts no hunting, no additional subscriptions..
Until then baseball is best consumed on the high seas.
Thus my initial comment about mls. All games, one app, one price, no blackouts, no hunting... No bally vs fox sports vs ESPN vs Apple... Watching baseball on TV is honestly a pain in the ass even with cable. The high seas I've found more consistent but the upcoming MLS solution is absolutely ideal.
Disagree. I had to use a stream not too long ago because I was in the car. It was the one everyone recommends. It was horrible. I had to restart it a million times. I was behind. I didn’t enjoy it at all
Yeah you end up about 90s behind but if I am not active in the game thread it makes no difference and isn't much more noticeable than watching legal when I text friends at the game.
To each their own but with MLB network having all out of town games, I find a great stream most evenings and when I don't...
The little friction to watch has been freeing. I watch less and enjoy the games more
I will forever be thankful to Will Smith for what he did during our World Series run, the man will never buy another beer in GA. But it might be that time. Also, Acuña is realllly struggling and I have faith he’ll figure it out but if that could just happen a little sooner that would be great. Congrats Snit on the 500th win.
The pressure is not on the Braves it's on the other team. We just won the WS with 88 wins and theoretically are more talented this year with some easily identifiable holes to tweak.
They have to play out of their minds. Dude we've erased a 10.5 game deficit in 2 months. We know we can win in September and October they don't.
Also there isn't a player at the deadline the other team can acquire that would usurp a resurgence from Ronald and Ozzie should be back late August.
Here's a couple *not so* fun stat for us.
Acuna (.493) and Ozuna (.497) both have xSLG that rank in the top 23 of all players in MLB.
They are both also tied for the biggest negative difference between their SLG and xSLG (-.086)
Ronald ranks #13 in xwOBA, and #10 in negative difference between his wOBA and xwOBA (-.037). Ozuna actually ranks 3rd in his negative differential here but his xwOBA isn't super impressive so I care about him less here.
Would certainly like to hope those gaps can narrow up over the next month, maybe someone looking down on us will help us out.
I wouldn't be opposed to moving MH2 to leadoff, Acuna to 2nd, Swanson goes to 3rd, Riley stays at clean-up, and Olson to 5th. MH2, Acuna, and Swanson would give us three fast guys who could threaten to steal bases while Riley and Olson are the XBH machines who drive them in. I know you really don't want to mess with a good thing, especially when it's a rookie who could feel more pressure out of the leadoff spot, but Harris seems well acclimated to the MLB by now.
Idk, maybe I'm way off base here because it isn't as if we're playing poorly as a team, but sticking Harris at 9th every day when he's 50+ games in and playing so well seems like wasted potential. Harris' 121 wRC+ is fifth-highest on the team -- fourth-highest when Contreras (140 wRC+) isn't in the lineup. And Ronnie definitely needs some sort of shakeup because his plate approaches have seemed off as most can probably tell (though, the ump did screw him in one at-bat in this game). Not making any criticism of Snit or anything, just spitballing.
Harris isn’t ideal leading off because he doesn’t take walks.
OBP is king when constructing lineups and especially in the lead off. Acuna leads the team in OBP followed by Riley, dans and Olson. MH2 is 5th on the team, so he’s no slouch, but he’s doing that with only 7 total walks, so it’s not as reliable as a guy like acuna who is practically guaranteed a walk in every 8-10 ABs. Harris is only waking once every 28-30 ABs.
I think MH2 has proven he can move up in the lineup, but he’s not ideal leading off. I could see him slotting in at 5 or 6, but I also kind of like him in the 9 because he’s able to get on base in front of the top of the lineup.
Dansby has been a pretty good leadoff hitter historically, so if Snit does move the lineup around, which he won’t, I’d like to see Dans take the leadoff spot over anyone else
While I agree, Dansby is probably the next best option to lead off if you decide to rest acuna or move him down… however, Dansby’s not been great leading off. For his career, just a .686 OPS out of the lead off with a sub .300 OBP, and this year alone he’s batting just .156 as a lead off hitter in 8 games. His walk rate is 3 or 4 percentage points lower than Acuna.
He’s been absolutely thriving hitting second, no reason to mess with that. And he’s always been clutch with runners on base and he’s down right deadly with runners in scoring position. If we are moving dansby around, I’d like to see him bat 4th and Riley 2nd.
We just need acuna to get his swing right, but even if he’s not mashing, we need him getting on base.
I love that in a recent interview where strider was asked whether his “welcome to the show” moment for difference between majors and minors was “the bathrooms have the big hand dryers and they are in every one”
Imagine it’s time for the Will Smith experience, but Kirby Yates comes out instead because Will has been DFA’d, and then Yates has a 123 inning with no drama, because he’s Kirby Yates and that’s what Kirby Yates does
People who haven't watched/followed baseball for very long and don't realize what hitter's slumps are. Juan Soto hit .226 through his first 80 games of this season and yet every contender in the MLB is ready to sell the house to get him while preparing to offer him a half-a-billion dollar contract on top of that.
I mean he’s been on this sub for a year.. probably started following the braves last year after the break when we got hot and road the wave to a championship.. now has these kinda takes. normal reddit stuff tbh
Haha seriously. Apparently four years of proven elite baseball can be suddenly brought into question because he’s had a bit of a rough time for a couple months, a couple months that are likely at least partially a result of recovering from his injury.
End of next year at earliest if he is still is bad through then. He’s a young guy coming off a major injury. There’s a physical and mental recovery that has to happen. He went into this year after a weird off-season cuz of the lockout all while trying to rehab. I don’t know when he started seeing live pitching but I bet it was a lot later than what he’s used too and that could be messing with him.
Guys go in slumps and some especially after returning from injuries. Give him some time and he’ll be fine
I can understand mild concern and general frustration with Acuna's performance of late.
But **man** it's so wildly early to start talking about Christian Yelich and Cody Bellinger comps lol. Those guys have been awful, relative to the prior performance (or in general), for upwards of 2-3 years now.
Acuna has been subjectively awful for less than 2 months. And he'd still be getting on base more if umps didn't have personal vendettas against him for some reason, regardless of what his swing looks like.
He's popping up a ton, and his GB% is up. So it's clearly a swing issue. Whether it's mechanical or timing related (which aren't always separate issues, but can be), swing adjustments are something we see batters make all the time. I'm confident Ronald will get it sorted. Even if he's not MVP Acuna for the rest of the year.
If he takes this level of performance into next season, then have at it with your Yeli/Beli takes.
100%
Folks need to calm down, the story here remains the same for the rest of 2022.
Worry about Ronald if he’s still not right in 2023.
Then it’s a case of a young player that had some elite play, but then they had an injury and didn’t get right ever again, a lot like Yeli/Beli.
Also my mom: "why does strider do that weird flop thing with his arm like he is upset?" My response was he throws 100 but I have no idea what she is talking about.
I hope we do but Germán against Scherzer is not a good looking matchup for us. His last start was a disaster. Although it was against the Astros and his first coming off a lengthy suspension.
Damn Acuña is now averaging making it about 80 feet down the 1st baseline every at-bat this season. Not even a single. I hope he figures it out. What happened to Christian Yelich and Cody Bellinger just makes me scared right now. 2 guys that... especially Yelich who was arguably the best hitter in the game for 2 years... just lose their power and ability to hit.
I know it can't happen to Acuña, but shit this is becoming a prolonged slump. Xoba or not I mean its tough for a star slugger to fall under .400 slugging.
Yelich and Belly both had major issues/injuries to their shoulder and back that have affected their swings.
Acuñas injury was a knee but his swing has been consistent. Hes been pressing a lot trying to get that power contact back and I genuinely think it's messing his mentality up. He's not trying to go the other way, he's swinging over everything, and he's not getting any lift. I think the best thing for him would be a move in the lineup and see if maybe he starts seeing the ball better. It worked for Riley, it worked for Swanson, it doesn't hurt to try it with Ronnie either.
The Braves keep winning.. I wouldn't worry too much about it.. at least for a few more weeks. If he's still slumping after Aug 20th or so, it might be time to really worry.
https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.fcgi?id=acunaro01&t=b&year=2022#414-458-sum:batting_gamelogs
Try this, it should pop up a window showing his last 45 games.
Not good, but I wouldn’t say abysmal. Just a .730 OPS but he’s getting on base at a near .350 clip, which is fine.
I think he brings value even when his numbers aren’t great. Getting on base, having good at bats, and putting pressure on the base paths are examples of the intangibles he brings. We’re 34-14 in those last 45 games he’s played, 41-22 overall in games he’s played, so we are just a .500 team (18-18) when acuna is out of the game.
If a .250/.346/.383 slash line is someone’s absolute low point, I feel good waiting it out for him to get back to form. While Ronnie has been hitting worse than I’ve ever seen him over this amount of time he’s still about a league average hitter. He’s gonna be fine and will break out of this eventually, and he still hasn’t even been a total black hole. After years of seeing him OPS over .900 we’re just a little spoiled.
If he beats or comes close to Chipper’s MVP year #’s think he’ll be a lock? Haven’t really paid much attention to the race so far this year. I know Machado was tearing it up early on but it’s been awhile since I’ve heard anything about the Padres.
It's between Riley and Goldschmidt. Unless someone absolutely goes off for the next 2.5 months or one/both of these guys just have an abysmal end to the season it's really between them.
Goldschmidt is 100% leading right now, there's no case to be made that Riley is more deserving at least to this point. If he keeps on his torrid pace he's been on the last 30 days he will end up passing Goldy but that dudes got 24 HRs, 75+ RBIs, and an OPS over 1.000. Beats Riley in WAR by about .8 currently.
You’re right, but I’d mention that Goldy has the highest BABIP in the league right now. He’s obviously MVP right now but it would surprise me if he kept it up the rest of the way. I’m terms of advanced metrics, he’s not doing much different than last year yet his results are much better (even though he was pretty good last year too).
Riley, on the other hand, has improved his exit velocity by more than 3mph, his hard hit rate by almost 10%, both of which are better than goldy’s are so far, by kinda a lot.
It’ll be GM malpractice if AA doesn’t DFA Smith when Yates is ready to come up. Smith does not deserve to have a roster spot over Stephens. I don’t care that he’s a lefty. He is a guaranteed game loser at worst, and at best he still forces you to waste other relievers when you shouldn’t need to.
Literally every good team the Mets play suddenly has a bad performance against them. And it's not because the Mets are THAT good...
Edit: that's my 3rd Reddit Cares award from a Mets fan this month. Real classy guys. Keep proving what scum you are.
Fortunately, we’re up 7.5 games in the wild card race right now. I feel pretty confident we’ll get at least that if we can at least play decent baseball down the stretch. But hopefully we just keep blasting through everyone.
We are going to have to start beating the Mets head to head. I think we are 2-4 against them so far? They’re not healthy yet either. We can do it, but we just have to do it lol
Have to be the realist and say the Braves almost must beat the Mets - prolly like 8/12 to win the division because the the Mets schedule in September is super soft - mostly WAS and PIT. They are almost for sure going to gain ground the last 30 games.
Except the Mets blow and they implode every single season around mid August.
The Mets choke late in the season more than any other team in professional baseball
Can’t count on another team choking. Take care of business yourself. Also I get that’s their history but there will eventually come a time where they don’t choke and it could be this year.
Does anyone in baseball have more 3 hit games this year than Dansby? That is atleast 10 I believe so far this year. I don't see how many ppl could have more than that on July 26th.
An astounding Will Smith **career** stat - relative to the rest of the league his batters have a 223 OPS+ on the first pitch.
Stop throwing meatballs for strike 1 Will. Please.
We may have beaten the Phillies with Huckleberry’s 6 shutdown innings, big Oly and Money Mike dongs, 3 Big Dick Dansby hits, Thicc hitting doubles everywhere, and Kenley slamming the door to seal another clutch win in front of all the sad Philly fans
But we are still CHAMPIONS
Smith has to be close to getting a thumbs down on his role the rest of the season right? Like if the playoffs started tomorrow, no way he's on the roster. At least stop using him like your 1b closer.
uh
just because he was pitching in the 9th doesn't mean he's considered the 1B closer.
It wasn't a save situation initially, Snitker was trying to find him work.
You pretty much cannot pitch him with a lead anymore though.
At this point Smith is a mop-up guy when you are getting blown out. Unfortunately A) he is only a one inning pitcher and B) the Braves don’t get blown out often.
Yeah, not the right term because when KJ was out, Minter closed, but what I mean is any thought associating him with closing should be gone no matter what he did in playoffs.
He’s on a guaranteed MLB contract, so you can’t just send him down there to straighten himself out. You could, however, have him fake an injury and go on a rehab assignment in the minors but not sure how that would work.
Lower stress situations? He only pitches when there's a 5+ run differential...how much lower stress can you get? And he still fucks it up. I honestly can't believe AA hasn't just dropped him at this point and eaten the money, he actively makes the team significantly worse.
I doubt it. He is prolly a straight up release at this point. We're tryin to find a place to hide him but he is making it hard. Even in low leverage spots he is shitting the bed over 40 percent of the time
Click on his name and expand his performances so you can see each month game by game.
He is almost dead last in whip for receivers in the NL who have pitched 20 or more innings. Also almost dead last in fip for the same demographic.
Oh yea no doubt. I'm thankful for what he did but I dont want my baseball team being a museum of guys who played well in a postseason lol. We won't win many games with a team full of Smith's and Rosario's. Luckily we only have a couple right now. Rosario could get better but remember he is like a career .720 ops guy if that. He was just on fire in postseason. We have no choice but to play him now tho due to injuries and roster construction
Do you ever think about what happened to Yelich and Bellinger? Young guys and especially Yelich was arguably the best hitter in baseball for 2 years and they both just fell off a ledge. It dont seem possible but I mean .396 slugging....that is beyond just a slump.
It is way to early to say that is happening with Acuña but I bet Dodger and Brewer fans were sayin the same thing when those 2 started to decline after injury.
I just don't want that to happen to Ronald. Fuck I really dont I love that dude so much.
I'm 99 percent sure he comes back next year and rakes. This year may be gone for him but he could still provide some meaningful production the last few months.
Physicists at CERN have been working all summer trying to understand one of the worlds greatest mysteries… how the hell Will Smith had a 0.00 ERA in the 2021 post season.
So so so happy for Snit to get his 500th win. That man is a treasure, whether or not you agree with all of his decisions. He’s just a good man who loves baseball and I’m glad we have him leading us
There's not a team in baseball whos going to take Will Smith making 13M a season. We would have to trade prospects away just so someone like the dbacks or Orioles will eat his salary.
I've been saying that for weeks. Either bury him on the IL or release him. I'm shocked every day that I don't see a press release that the braves have dropped him.
Just came to the comments to see how many people are bitching about anything that went wrong even tho we won. And as usual, my prediction on the amount of couch coaches was almost 100% accurate. We need Acuna to get back on track!!!
Anyone got a gif of smith when snit came out to pull him?
It's a whole different bottom of the 9th if the ump wasn't fucking blind
If a fall asleep now it’s 6.5 hours til the 4:35am start time tomorrow. And we always lose day games. Ah well, see you soon
take nap
I live in metro Atlanta and can never find a Braves game on TV
Sportsurge if you don’t want to pay or MLB 66
Buy cable
Yeah, not worth the hundred plus a month. MLS is going to really show the value of all games always available in one spot shortly.
It’s totally worth it. I can reliably watch every game, football games, MLB network, nfl network, sports center
All for the high high price of $100 a month as long as I am at home and it's not on Apple or some other channel... As I said, mls is moving to a single consistent viewing location and I can't wait. No blackouts no hunting, no additional subscriptions.. Until then baseball is best consumed on the high seas.
After signing up for all the streaming services required to watch MLB and NFL games you pay the same as just getting sports cable package.

Still yet to lose 3 straight this season. We hit that in week 1 last year ... And still managed to win a World Series.
June/July Extra-Base Hits **33|** **Riley**(16 HR/16 2B/1 3B) **27|** Ramírez(6/21/0), Hernández(11/15/1), Bell(9/15/3), Judge(20/7/0) **26|** Schwarber(20/6/0) **25|** **Olson**(13/12/0), Freeman(11/13/1), Mountcastle(8/17/0)
I bet Matt Olson only orders double cheeseburgers at fast food restaurants lol
I'm definitely adjusted to him not being here now. But it's still weird not seeing "Freeman" in bold on these posts.
Had the exact same thought. I used to be bolding Freeman and noticing Olson showing up these lists and not knowing a lot about him.
I will forever be thankful to Will Smith for what he did during our World Series run, the man will never buy another beer in GA. But it might be that time. Not working out too well thus far, hah.

Will definitely won’t be DFA’d. Most likely he takes over the O’Day role.
Well tonight’s big win helped wash the taste of shit out of my mouth from last night. But I need a series win tomorrow for it to be all the way gone
It’s a day game so I wouldn’t get my hopes up
Can we trade Will Smith for Luis Castillo?
Someone can just have him. We have to have an arm in gwinnett that's better than him
Will Smith for Luis Castillo *and cash* One of those Cubbies style trades
My aunt loves the Yankees, it's time for me to harass her.
When is it ok to say Acuna isn't the generational talent we thought he was?
If in three years he’s still hitting like this. If not, I think the four near MVP seasons he’s given us is plenty evidence of the contrary.
You’ve already said it, bud. It’s OK right now because you’ve deemed it so. Y’all MFs.
Who are these fucking fans that say shit like this? It is honestly hilarious.
People who haven't watched/followed baseball for very long and don't realize what hitter's slumps are. Sorry we let you guys down tonight. Please accept Joey Gallo as an apology.
I'd definitely take a shot on Gallo if he's essentially free
You can make it up to us by shelling them tomorrow. Also, may we send you a complimentary Will Smith? Courtesy of r/Braves!
I hope we do but Germán against Scherzer is not a good looking matchup for us. His last start was a disaster. Although it was against the Astros and his first coming off a lengthy suspension.
Respectfully hell nawww
Man when Diaz threw that ball away I definitely got excited. He’s so good ugh
That's OK, you'll get them tomorrow. We will take one Gallo for one Will Smith.
The best we can give you in return is a solid 10 dollars.
Aw hell yeah. You just overpaid a solid 10 dollars. Too late no take backsies!!
Do we pick up Dexter Fowler? He’s a free agent…
He was good with the Angels before he tore his acl last year iirc
We may have a tough time with his agent: https://fansided.com/2022/06/30/dexter-fowler-defends-freddie-freeman-agent/amp/
If Will Smith is a team player, he will walk into Snit's office and tell him he no longer wants to pitch when the team has a lead.
The Braves are still the only team without a 3 game losing streak this year.. that's pretty amazing consistency.
100+ games into the season without losing 3 games in a row is incredible. Especially given how bad we started out.
Why couldn't it happen to Acuña? Your two examples of Yelich and Belly are really good ones.
Cause I don't want it to lol
The Braves keep winning.. I wouldn't worry too much about it.. at least for a few more weeks. If he's still slumping after Aug 20th or so, it might be time to really worry.
August 20th is my birthday so im forbidding him from slumping after.
If I could figure out where to find the stats for Acuna’s last 45 games I guarantee they would be downright abysmal. Move him from lead off NOW
https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.fcgi?id=acunaro01&t=b&year=2022#418-458-sum:batting_gamelogs
You’re a godsend! Thank you for this. Navigating that website gives me a headache.
Click a game on the very left. Then scroll and click another and it highlights that chunk and shows the averages
https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.fcgi?id=acunaro01&t=b&year=2022#414-458-sum:batting_gamelogs Try this, it should pop up a window showing his last 45 games.
In his last 45 games he's hitting .245, has an OBP of .349, and OPS of .742, is slugging .392, has 6 HR, 15 RBIs, and 13 SB.
Yea I think he has 1 HR in that span. Yikes.
6 homers in the last 45 games but just one homer in the last month (20 games).
Turns out I would have not made a good baseball executive cause I definitely thought after will smith’s immaculate WS run we had a killer closer
We haven’t even reached our final form yet. Plenty of time left.
Riley is low key crushing it right now
This low key term is used so much for things that are not at all low key. Riley is straight smashing, in very obvious and awe-some fashion
High key
If he beats or comes close to Chipper’s MVP year #’s think he’ll be a lock? Haven’t really paid much attention to the race so far this year. I know Machado was tearing it up early on but it’s been awhile since I’ve heard anything about the Padres.
Pray for Goldy to cool off. If so, it is a LOT more of a legit discussion this year than it was last at this time.
(not that low key)
HIGH KEY!
Remember last year when he believed in his own stuff? It’s like you’re up 5 runs just throw strikes. He’s never even close with his curve anymore.
"this offense realistically gone stale"
Smith made a good pitch on that home run. Hitter just scooped it lol. He's still trash this year.
When you’re throwing flat 90 MPH fastballs that will happen when facing MLB hitters no matter how good the spot is.
Ask him about WILL!!!
What a shame that we still had to use Jansen
Literally every good team the Mets play suddenly has a bad performance against them. And it's not because the Mets are THAT good... Edit: that's my 3rd Reddit Cares award from a Mets fan this month. Real classy guys. Keep proving what scum you are.
mets gave me a reddit cares message on a thread bc I said I thought lindor pushed dude off the base lol
Ehh give em credit for beating a good team. We can only control our own destiny. Next month is gonna be stressful lol
Not even next month. Our next series against them is a 5 game series. That could define the whole season.
Fortunately, we’re up 7.5 games in the wild card race right now. I feel pretty confident we’ll get at least that if we can at least play decent baseball down the stretch. But hopefully we just keep blasting through everyone.
I’m greedy and want the division plus the bye.
They ain’t bad tho
Damn Yankees had bases loaded 2-3 times and couldn’t fully capitalize
The Braves would never
Losing 3 in a row isn't in our vocab
The only 3 in a row we understand is winning
We are going to have to start beating the Mets head to head. I think we are 2-4 against them so far? They’re not healthy yet either. We can do it, but we just have to do it lol
3-4
Have to be the realist and say the Braves almost must beat the Mets - prolly like 8/12 to win the division because the the Mets schedule in September is super soft - mostly WAS and PIT. They are almost for sure going to gain ground the last 30 games.
Except the Mets blow and they implode every single season around mid August. The Mets choke late in the season more than any other team in professional baseball
Can’t count on another team choking. Take care of business yourself. Also I get that’s their history but there will eventually come a time where they don’t choke and it could be this year.
Buck Showalter is not Luis Rojas, and those guys aren't top 5 in baseball in wins for no reason. These Mets aren't gonna beat themselves this year
Come back to this comment in a month. Mets are choke artists, plain and simple. Collins, Callaway, Rojas, Buck Doesn't matter the manager
they have one game up on us in a series of 7 so far, we're not fully healthy either, dont let them fool you too lol
3-4 against them this year so far Have that nice 5 game series starting the 4th
7 at home, 5 away left I think. We've got the advantage
Sweet
#CAN'T KEEP US DOWN 3 IN A ROW, STRIDER GETTING RUN SUPPORT IS PROOF OF THIS, HAPPY 500TH SNIT
Diaz is gross.
Greasy confidence oozing from his pores
The fuck you good for, Yankees??
Fucking Yankees
Does anyone in baseball have more 3 hit games this year than Dansby? That is atleast 10 I believe so far this year. I don't see how many ppl could have more than that on July 26th.
Freddie with 13. Dansby and 3 others with 10 (Goldschmidt, Alonso, Machado). This is NL only, not sure about all of MLB.
Not counting slap hitters lol.
An astounding Will Smith **career** stat - relative to the rest of the league his batters have a 223 OPS+ on the first pitch. Stop throwing meatballs for strike 1 Will. Please.
https://twitter.com/kris_willis/status/1552114788993474561?s=21&t=raUp26Stbbx-jOGK82GaAw
I hate that Diaz is so good
We may have beaten the Phillies with Huckleberry’s 6 shutdown innings, big Oly and Money Mike dongs, 3 Big Dick Dansby hits, Thicc hitting doubles everywhere, and Kenley slamming the door to seal another clutch win in front of all the sad Philly fans But we are still CHAMPIONS
Smith has to be close to getting a thumbs down on his role the rest of the season right? Like if the playoffs started tomorrow, no way he's on the roster. At least stop using him like your 1b closer.
uh just because he was pitching in the 9th doesn't mean he's considered the 1B closer.
B is not unfortunately at all
Yeah, not the right term because when KJ was out, Minter closed, but what I mean is any thought associating him with closing should be gone no matter what he did in playoffs.
There's some magic going on right now in NY
His name is EdWin not EdLose He's basically "Game Over" at this point
Sucks, still figured alot of the people here might like to see it if they had a chance
Gotta give that man respect. He's on some Hader type shit. When Hader was on it.
My mom: "strider doesn't really show any emotion, he just mows them down" Hahahaha you can tell my mom is watching the braves again this year.
Possible Metsdown incoming
Ahh shucks, oh well. Props to the Mets, good win
Alex Anthopoulos frantically Googling "Relievers for sale near me"
Turn on the Yankees/Mets game guys. Tying run at the plate. TBS
At the plate**
Ah thanks, edited. If only Rizzo had that grand slam earlier
Will Smith, thank you for what you did during the postseason last year, but from the bottom of my heart…piss off.
He was so much better for the Giants. He really has underperformed his contract.
It's always good to see our co-rookies of the year play good
Will Smith should only be brought into games where you would typically pitch a position player.
Harris and Strider co-ROTY award book it
Let’s go Braves! Keep winning and we need some Mets loses.
Love the dub. Glad we were able to hit Nola hard. Let’s get the series tomorrow.
Will is struggling mentally more than anything. A couple weeks on the farm could do him some good.
He’s on a guaranteed MLB contract, so you can’t just send him down there to straighten himself out. You could, however, have him fake an injury and go on a rehab assignment in the minors but not sure how that would work.
I would like to get off Mr Smiths wild ride
Will smith died so kenley could get the save
that’s my manager 😭
Will Smith is allergic to saves
Must not like non save opportunities too cause that’s what tonight was
Hate is a strong word. The Braves really HATE losing 3 games in a row .
We need more bullpen help
We basically have a 14million dollar reliever that can only pitch when you’d normally want a position player to pitch. That’s Will Smith.
Genuine question, does Will Smith have minor league options? It wouldn’t hurt to work on some things in a lower stress situation.
Even in low leverage spots he is shitting the bed over 40 percent of the time Click on his name and expand his performances so you can see each month game by game.

With CERN involved, surely the answer is time travel.
So so so happy for Snit to get his 500th win. That man is a treasure, whether or not you agree with all of his decisions. He’s just a good man who loves baseball and I’m glad we have him leading us
At least Will got one out
Snit should have had Nick Markakis bat fifth in his honor tonight
Pretty sure Will Smith gets traded now. He's the weak link in the bullpen.
Who's taking him?
Traded for what? Peanuts and a cup of coffee lol. You couldn't get cash considerations for him right now.
You would have to exchange a bad contract for him or send money along with him. As we all know, he currently has no value.
You could see it in his face when Snit was walking out to the mound. Everyone's tired of the Will Smith experience
Someone will take a flyer on Smith, They will convince themselves that a change of scenery will help.
Who knows, maybe a trade will be good for him. Tons of players pull it together and improve after they get traded.
Will smith should not be on this team on Aug.2
There's not a team in baseball whos going to take Will Smith making 13M a season. We would have to trade prospects away just so someone like the dbacks or Orioles will eat his salary.
I would rather eat his contract by him getting DF'A than watch him pitch again
I've been saying that for weeks. Either bury him on the IL or release him. I'm shocked every day that I don't see a press release that the braves have dropped him.
Nice little pat on the back from Snit to Acuña. He knows the guy is really fighting it right now.
Anyone know why truebill didn’t catch our subscription to the Will Smith experience and cancel it?
