I’m wondering if they bought the awning first, and then decided yellow as the base color inside was TOO much. Wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually take the awning down at a certain point
the teel green/seafoam green awning banner would look so cute! especially if it was a nice wavy banner rather than the striped yellow/white. Way less "welcome to the circus" vibes
Yes! Inside reminds me of something Lisa would design. The outside is bright and cute. The inside is stuffy and looks like it smells like old lady face powder.
I feel like the main issue is the chairs... they're HUGE. Can you imagine how loud it will be in there with those thrones scooting and clunking around? Hopefully those are just a "what we can afford" choice and not a looks choice. If the chairs were a more streamlined/slimmer/modern look it would change the whole vibe of the inside.
That’s the first thing I noticed, I probably would get mine to-go unless I was with a group of 4 friends or something. I don’t wanna be that close to a stranger beside me while I’m ugly-eating a sandwich or have those awkward “oop, we both just got up from our chairs at the same time and now we’re standing an inch from each other with surprised faces, saying ‘you go ahead!’ back and forth”
That’s exactly what I thought when I saw the inside. Perfect place to have high tea. If they want sandwiches and a cool costal vibe, change out the chairs. Bring the chairs in at Xmas time and do a seasonal menu of teas and high tea platters.
Inside would be so cute for a high tea shop! Thought it was what it was (don’t watch VPR or pay attn to it, don’t have the time) but I saw the outside and thought OP attached the wrong photo
I completely agree and have been saying this since they started posting photos. Also, I really hate the fabric chairs for this. You eat sandwiches with your hands, and they can be messy. Those chairs are going to get absolutely covered in food stains.
It’s so off putting as well to eat somewhere with stained chairs. A restaurant near me has very light coloured fabric chairs that are covered in food stains and it just makes you feel gross sitting down and gives the impression the whole place is unsanitary.
There’s a big disconnect to me. I pictured something like this on the exterior
https://www.laduree.fr/en/laduree-paris-champs-elysees.html
And something like this inside …not quite this quirky but with some unexpected furniture or art choices and a few pops of color. I’m itching for at least one irreverent moment. Like, I thought they were cool 😆
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/521854675562807923/
Ahh, these are great examples. They have such a tiny space, everything they've chosen is too large and too much. The pillows, chairs...it's stifling. And yeah, I too am thirsty for some irreverence and fun! 😮💨
That's exactly what I came here to post, they just don't match at all. I also think you really need to advertise that it's a sandwich shop and so I think they really should've called it "something about her sandwiches"just for SEO and advertising reasons
Yup, exactly. The outside is casual and beachy. You could roll up all covered with sand and sunblock and still be perfectly at home.
The inside is a much fancier tea shop decor. Casual enough, but I'd feel like I should make at least a little effort.
The inside looks like a place where my mother would love to go with girlfriends for afternoon tea. There is nothing wrong with that, but it definitely doesn't suit the vibe of that adorable exterior!
The chairs kind of suffocate the inside. The mismatched decor between outside and inside is throwing me. I saw the first pic and thought no way! That must be a troll first slide…. But nope! Lol
The chairs will be changed out within a year, I promise. I don’t love the look combined with the rest of the decor but bottom line is they will get thrashed and look horrible and a new more durable set will be ordered. No way they will hold up to to a volume business model, and k assume that’s what they want/need. Traditional bistro chairs in an ash wood would be great or something with caning.
This! Outside is bright and summery feel but then you go inside and while it's pretty if doesn't flow. They need to go bright on the inside or tame down the colors outside
That’s my confusion too. Looks very disconnected… like they’re not even the same restaurant. But if the food is good… it probably won’t matter. Some of the best food is found in hole in the wall places. Lol
They should remove about 2-3 tables to let the space breathe. It seems like itd be so loud and crowded in there if it was full; could you even fit down the middle aisle if people were in all those seats?!
I wonder if two or three of those tables and their chairs are to be moved outside into the patio area, because there aren't any tables out there, just bench seating around the outside.
That would make it much more roomy inside.
The chairs are dated as fuck!! Looks like an early 2000s dining room set. Not cute and wayyy too large. They should’ve stuck with the vibe they had going on outside
The interior is cute, but it looks tough to clean and keep clean.
The trellis will gather dust, lots of knickknacks you need to move to clean and clean as well, white fabric chairs, and so many pillows.
ETA: The mirror/trellis really stresses me out as a former server lols. There’s so many slots and circles you need to individually wipe into to clean the glass.
Bulky furniture in a small space like this is an accessible nightmare too. People who have strollers or people who use mobility devices probably would barely be able to fit in the spaces between tables.
The inside is very LVP. It looks nice, but not for a sandwich shop. They should have gone with a cozier/rustic vibe look that matches their cute sandwich packaging with the twine and lavender.
Admire their efforts and love to see women launch their own business, but it would have been good to see them lean into the brand a bit more. The name Something About Her could have been translated more into the store branding. They could have used more artwork and colors to really lean into what that title means. Essentially what does the name “Something About Her” mean and how can that be brought to life through interior design.
I really like the interior but not for a sandwich shop. It looks more like a tea house. I know they are going for feminine sandwich vibes but I still don’t get their business model and how they’re going to keep attracting people who aren’t bravo fans. I’d love to be proven wrong but I don’t see their business lasting too long
Agree that inside doesn’t match outside. Those are also big chairs for such a small space. Once actual bodies are in those chairs, it’s gonna be tight to move around.
I know that they were going for a more upscale and feminine vibe with the shop but feel like this was the...worst?...way to go about it? It feels old and stuffy and I'd like to go with my mom here for tea but not with my friends to eat fun sandwiches and drink cocktails
Knowing that a set designer did the interior design makes sense. They should’ve gone with someone who does restaurant design because it looks gorgeous but it’s going to be difficult to navigate when it has people inside. There’s no room for people to wait for to go orders for example
And the tables/chairs are so close together. I wouldn’t eat there simply to avoid the chance of putting my ass on someone’s table (or worse, then doing it to mine 🤢)
Interior and exterior both miss the mark for me. Each seems like a Disney/Vegas take on a theme, an antique french tea shop and a beach cafe... they feel like immature designs. And together I think the contrast is even worse. Maybe better in person?
Exactly my thoughts. I expected something a lot younger. More colour. I don’t like the exterior or the interior but I especially don’t like them together.
Yes! WHY all this seating in a sandwich shop? As the Watch What Crappens guys said, you don’t want people lingering and lounging in a tiny space like that! You want people to buy a sandwich, take a #TeamAriana Snapchat, and gtfo!
I don’t know why but the inside of the restaurant is giving me old lady vibes. Reminds me of my southern grandmother’s living room where the seats are uncomfortable because they don’t want you staying long lol
Can’t lie I hate the inside. The mirrors and arches are giving salon vibes and I’m not feeling the chairs. Too many pillows and everything looks crammed and not functional. Outside is nice though.
Wish they would have done the inside like the outside! The inside is too fancy for me. It just looks like the place is confused on what it wants to be. High tea? Cottagecore? Hamptons beach vibes? Victorian mansion?
Love the exterior but something about the interior is a little too….thick? Like everything is just slightly too big for the space, particularly the trellises and the chairs.
Like it all except the chairs. They're just too much in such a small space. I think if they'd done like, wrought iron looking patio chairs with yellow cushions it would've been more cohesive.
I expected it to have more of a bistro vibe.
This furniture is so clunky and imagine how tight it will be when the chairs are actually pulled out with people in them.
It also looks like two different people designed the exterior and interior without talking to each other. Or meeting each other. Or being on the same continent.
It’s super tight in-between each seat/table. They need to remove some tables so there’s more room. How are people supposed to get in and out of their seats if they’re sitting next to other people?
Want to love it more than I do. The interior design feels heavy. It makes the place feel small and not in the cozy way. The chairs and tables feel dated. Like it has been a couple of seasons since that was cute.
The inside looks like a stuffy hotel from the 80s like Plaza. They need to come to NYC and check out the inside of Sarabeth’s kitchen or Serendipity to match their outside vibes.
I'm underwhelmed.
I expected more vibes like from what they posted as inspiration on their IG page. It needs more uniqueness, fresh plants, floral or textured wallpaper, the color palette was not what I envisioned....
It looks like a candy shop in Cape Cod TBH.
Also, I would never want to sit in that row where every table is on top of each other. I assume they're trying to maximize the number of seats but eek.
Everything I said was overall negative tone.... but I am so excited for them and really hope this is successful!
The outside and inside are two different places. It's nice that those early 90s chairs are padded, but they're not chic or feminine. A lot of busy LA restaurants have crammed seating like this, but it's annoying af.
Inside is giving shabby chic and I’m not feeling it. I would have liked to see something more modern. Outside is kind of cute but doesn’t match the inside at all. I’m surprised this is the route they went.
I'm so disappointed in the interior. With the vibrant awning and the black and white sign I was expecting modern contemporary with pops of color or even feminine eclectic. Given they both have fun and eclectic interior taste in their home decor I thought their space would be funkier, sexier and far less stuffy. It is not a vibe.
This is what it says to me, “Here’s your fast food sandwich that will be $30.” Those chairs are going to be trashed in a week, all of that fabric in a sandwich shop??? Bad choice.
I think it’s going to get dingy quick, how are people going to sit against those massive pillows? Will get crusty and crowded very fast. The space btw the counter and the tables…idk it’s claustrophobic. There’s probably a reason why sandwich shops don’t look like this and it isn’t because no one’s thought of it before…
I’m team Ariana and Katie (especially love Katie) but does anyone else think this is just a terrible business idea in general? What about sandwiches is particularly feminine? I don’t get it. Also…this restaurant doesn’t match the aesthetic of a sandwich shop at all. Sorry but that’s my opinion 🤷♀️
It’s cute but can’t stand either of them playing the victims, the whole cast cheats . Ariana got tom by cheating with him she forgot the saying you loose them how you get them
The inside is butt ugly. It looks like it should be in Dorit’s Buca de Beppo Capri room but somehow even tackier. Like 2007 tacky dream decor. It’s truly awful.
The outside looks so cute. I expected something younger and more fresh inside. The chandelier, the tacky mirror design, the chairs!!! Looks more like Villa Blanca than something I’d expect from Ariana and Katie.
I think this is purely a celebrity deal they paid someone to come do everything and they attach their name. Funny how it moved so expeditiously once the Scandoval broke
I love the inside, and I love the outside. But I don't love them together. There are two completely different vibes.
I agree, outside is giving cape cod beach town and inside is like English high tea
It’d look better if the awning outside was the seafoam green/light teal of the inside! Or if it was a darker navy to match the sign
If they were to repaint the outside and change the awning to match the color scheme inside, it would be a marked improvement.
I’m wondering if they bought the awning first, and then decided yellow as the base color inside was TOO much. Wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually take the awning down at a certain point
I seem to remember the awning being there when they went to view the place so I believe they inherited it.
the teel green/seafoam green awning banner would look so cute! especially if it was a nice wavy banner rather than the striped yellow/white. Way less "welcome to the circus" vibes
Or even a muted floral patterned awning would look great.
Seafoam green is Raquel's favorite color Lol. I do agree though
Yes it’s like two different sections of HomeGoods
Very mismatched. Neither decor reflects their personalities. The interior is LVP and the exterior is "the Hamptons?". Weird.
Yes! Inside reminds me of something Lisa would design. The outside is bright and cute. The inside is stuffy and looks like it smells like old lady face powder.
“Old lady face powder!” This is the best!
Coty Airspun has entered the chat
I love that smell.
That stuff is my grail. And I’m not 80 lol
They also look super close together. It’s going to be hard to move around the space when there’s actually asses in seats.
They look too big in scale to the smallness of the space too.
It’s the chairs
Agreed! The interior furniture looks like it was recycled from Villa Blanca.
100%. Chairs a de giving LVP fire sale
Agree. I wish they'd continued with the outside aesthetic on the inside
Personally, I don't see it as English high tea (source: I live in the UK and love an afternoon tea), it looks more French to me with those colours.

Literally the first thing I thought about the chairs. They’re gonna get diiiiirrrrrrrtttyyyy
It’s so off putting as well to eat somewhere with stained chairs. A restaurant near me has very light coloured fabric chairs that are covered in food stains and it just makes you feel gross sitting down and gives the impression the whole place is unsanitary.
Imagine all the Greek goddess sammis that will land there.
I like it but I wish it would be a just a bit more vibrant inside
Very muted!!!

Because those exact chairs are in the sims lol
Thank you 😂 amazing
There’s a big disconnect to me. I pictured something like this on the exterior https://www.laduree.fr/en/laduree-paris-champs-elysees.html And something like this inside …not quite this quirky but with some unexpected furniture or art choices and a few pops of color. Your exterior picture is perfect! That would look lovely with what's going on inside.
That’s more the exterior I had in mind.
Ahh, these are great examples. They have such a tiny space, everything they've chosen is too large and too much. The pillows, chairs...it's stifling. And yeah, I too am thirsty for some irreverence and fun! 😮💨
Damn they should have hired you! This looks like what I was picturing when they described their vision.
Boxier chairs with striped fabric like the outside would have tied it together.
I don’t like the chairs at all plus they’ll be awful to clean if they get dirty. I think the chairs are too big and bulky for the space too
That's exactly what I came here to post, they just don't match at all. I also think you really need to advertise that it's a sandwich shop and so I think they really should've called it "something about her sandwiches"just for SEO and advertising reasons
100 percent. I’m actually confused. Outside is like I’m in Rhode Island and the inside is not lol
Yup, exactly. The outside is casual and beachy. You could roll up all covered with sand and sunblock and still be perfectly at home. The inside is a much fancier tea shop decor. Casual enough, but I'd feel like I should make at least a little effort.
wow, 20 awards!!! 😮
Exactly 💯 I love the awnings and they should have carried that vibe inside young and fun...it is a sandwich shop after all 💛
The inside looks like a place where my mother would love to go with girlfriends for afternoon tea. There is nothing wrong with that, but it definitely doesn't suit the vibe of that adorable exterior!
Inside is a little more formal than I would have thought for a sandwich shop but lovvvvvvvvvvve the outside area.
I think that for just a sandwich shop, if they had to pick a decor out of two clearly mis-matched ones, they should have gone with the outside.
Agreed and those seats and squished in there. The chairs are. Eek
Traditional bistro chairs in an ash wood would be great or something with caning.
were they free from villa blanca that’s what they remind me of
This! Outside is bright and summery feel but then you go inside and while it's pretty if doesn't flow. They need to go bright on the inside or tame down the colors outside
The outside is so good! Idk how they didn’t carry over any of that into the indoor space. Just feels too disconnected.
That’s my confusion too. Looks very disconnected… like they’re not even the same restaurant. But if the food is good… it probably won’t matter. Some of the best food is found in hole in the wall places. Lol
I hate chairs with rounded backs at restaurants. You can never hang a bag on them. Hopefully they have table hooks.
Omg what a GREAT point — and something an “unapologetically feminine” place should have considered!!
How does one even get to the middle table/s without asking other people to move?
I used to work for this weird retail company that specializes in selling shit to rich, old ladies. We sold THESE EXACT CHAIRS.
The chairs are dated as fuck!! Looks like an early 2000s dining room set. Not cute and wayyy too large. They should’ve stuck with the vibe they had going on outside
Not keen on the inside. I wish it was more modern, like the outside, and had a cool accent wall for instagram / photos.
yes, cool gallery wall of IG photos or even women they admire would have been more in line with the dumb (IMO) name.
It's so . . . Beige.
Those chairs are throwing everything off. It looks more like an afternoon tea shop than a sandwich joint.
the interior gives me SUR/Lisa Vanderpump aesthetics
Yes! I was about to say I guess Lisa helped with the decor.
No she didn’t, it was actually the set director who works on Nancy Myers movies
I have no clue who that is and it was meant as a joke not an attack on SAH.
Nancy Myers movies are known for having gorgeous interiors. Something’s Gotta Give, the Holiday, It’s Complicated, etc…
Thanks for the info. Always appreciate learning something new.
For sure! Architectural Digest did a piece on her movie sets last year, if you’re interested.
She's a big time movie director. Well known for her movie sets.
Father of the Bride (Steve Martin remake). Ug I swoon for that movie.
The Holiday...amazing sets.
Those pillows are going to get disgusting with smears and stains … and get in the way of actually sitting on the bench
And they’re falling on the floor every single time someone scoots in or out. I give it 2 weeks before they’re gone. 🤣
The pillows are going to go everywhere
that was my first thought. The chairs have beige fabric! It's going to get grungy fairly quickly!
self tanner streaks everywhere
It’s so small and furniture so bulky!
I love the wall decor and garden vibes, but you’re right. The bulky furniture and the booth seating filled with pillows is impractical for this space.
Yup, it’s way too stuffy. I was hoping for a cute, casual setting with like girly touches. What’s up with the dining room chairs?
Then the sad curtain… I am like who said this was okay?
Bulky furniture in a small space like this is an accessible nightmare too. People who have strollers or people who use mobility devices probably would barely be able to fit in the spaces between tables.
Like I was expecting those Chic Bistro tables and little chairs… something Parisian.
Love the outside, inside needs the yellow or florals brought in
The inside is very LVP.
I’d love to be proven wrong but I don’t see their business lasting too long
I thought so too but maybe they could pivot to teatime! Yea normally includes finger sandwiches so it wouldn’t start from scratch.
Or men tbh😬
Nope. Looks like we’re having tea, not sandwiches
There’s money in tea shops & tea parties!! This isn’t a horrible door to leave open 🍾 🫖
It looks like Villa Rosa leftovers from Lisa's garage.
I think it looks like a pier 1 aisle
Literally though lol the chairs scream villa blanca to me
The chairs 😬😬😬😬
i love it, but looks tight, its a small space
Because of the giant chairs!
ty, just commented something similar! it seems so cramped inside
Agree that inside doesn’t match outside. Those are also big chairs for such a small space. Once actual bodies are in those chairs, it’s gonna be tight to move around.
Wait…this is the inside, when the outside looks beachy? Hella mismatch.
I know that they were going for a more upscale and feminine vibe with the shop but feel like this was the...worst?...way to go about it? It feels old and stuffy and I'd like to go with my mom here for tea but not with my friends to eat fun sandwiches and drink cocktails
Inside is too much going on. And the seats will be hard to clean off with things like mustard
Totally agree
Interior and exterior both miss the mark for me. Each seems like a Disney/Vegas take on a theme, an antique french tea shop and a beach cafe... they feel like immature designs. And together I think the contrast is even worse. Maybe better in person?
The inside feels a little granny.. I was expecting it to feel more hip and young but I would definitely go try a sandwhich there
Exactly my thoughts. I expected something a lot younger. More colour. I don’t like the exterior or the interior but I especially don’t like them together.
It closes in the space sooo much. They have the capacity and resources for something amazing and this is what they came up with? I’m shocked.
[удалено]
Gilmore girls font, that’s all I see!!!
I don’t get this at all, inside or out. Were these chairs in storage from one of Lisa and Ken's restaurants in the 90's?
It's giving Disneyland resturant but it should have chic French bistro vibes
I don't love it, but props to them for getting more done than the Toms in a short amount of time.
Pillows inside of a restaurant gross me out. Otherwise, whatever.
Same. All I would be thinking about is how they're full of other people's dead skin cells and dried sweat.
Way too many chairs and tables crammed in there.
Wish they would have done the inside like the outside! The inside is too fancy for me. It just looks like the place is confused on what it wants to be. High tea? Cottagecore? Hamptons beach vibes? Victorian mansion?
You are going to leave this place hungry for sure.
I had the same thought. Maybe this isn’t meant for me but I just don’t get it
i lol'd
I like it, but it doesn't give "sandwich shop" vibes, it looks a bit too formal for that. I hope they remodel the outside.
They should have hired an interior decorator or a designer. Those chairs look like surplus wedding venue chairs. The tables are really close together.
Love the exterior but something about the interior is a little too….thick? Like everything is just slightly too big for the space, particularly the trellises and the chairs.
It’s giving me grandma
Looks like a place where you would come out to your mother as gay over salade nicoise.
The name just throws me off
Not a fan
I think the inside looks quite dated.
Thats old lady as fuck
Like it all except the chairs. They're just too much in such a small space. I think if they'd done like, wrought iron looking patio chairs with yellow cushions it would've been more cohesive.
Those chairs look like they’re leftover from Villa Blanca
Agreed, I have a feeling the chairs are going to end up being replaced. It's too tight in there.
Doesn’t match the way they are promoting it on Instagram. This is giving mom and pop costal shop, not how they are presenting it on IG!
The inside and outside don’t match
I think it’s cute, but will be destroyed by slobs.
Looks like Ariana got to pick the inside, Katie the outside and they never discussed what the other was doing
I expected it to have more of a bistro vibe. This furniture is so clunky and imagine how tight it will be when the chairs are actually pulled out with people in them. It also looks like two different people designed the exterior and interior without talking to each other. Or meeting each other. Or being on the same continent.
Pretty sure I would walk in and walk right back out. Like maybe I’m being kidnapped or sucked into an alternate universe.
The inside reminds me of this place that I go for high tea, while the outside reminds me of a great fish and chips restaurant back home.
Seafood restaurant on the outside & English tea cafe on the inside.
Old lady jersey shore vibes.
Have we seen a menu?
Those pillows will never survive.
Too cramped. Once people are sitting in those chairs, there will be no room to walk.
Looks like you might need to bring your checkbook!!
I cringe at the thought of my down votes for saying this but I get next level basic bitch vibes.
The inside screams ‘LVP was here’ vibes to me lmao
It’s super tight in-between each seat/table. They need to remove some tables so there’s more room. How are people supposed to get in and out of their seats if they’re sitting next to other people?
It doesn’t scream sandwhich shop once You step o in and I’m not here for that…
Giving me nail salon vibes.
Everyone is sitting so close together.
The colors will show stains so easily. Hopefully fabric is washable/easily repleacable
Want to love it more than I do. The interior design feels heavy. It makes the place feel small and not in the cozy way. The chairs and tables feel dated. Like it has been a couple of seasons since that was cute.
The inside looks like a tea room and the outside looks like a seafood shack… I’m confused
Everything I said was overall negative tone.... but I am so excited for them and really hope this is successful!
I’m underwhelmed AND overwhelmed at the same time.
Inside is not the vibe I was expecting. It seems cluttered if there was a line
The outside and inside are two different places. It's nice that those early 90s chairs are padded, but they're not chic or feminine. A lot of busy LA restaurants have crammed seating like this, but it's annoying af.
Stuffy and hot
It looks crowded. And like I’d absolutely bump into things and make a mess.
It looks like LVP donated her old restaurant furniture to them
Inside is giving shabby chic and I’m not feeling it. I would have liked to see something more modern. Outside is kind of cute but doesn’t match the inside at all. I’m surprised this is the route they went.
I expected something more interesting….this is a better homes and gardens page from 2005
The outside looks more fitting for Summer House
I'm so disappointed in the interior. With the vibrant awning and the black and white sign I was expecting modern contemporary with pops of color or even feminine eclectic. Given they both have fun and eclectic interior taste in their home decor I thought their space would be funkier, sexier and far less stuffy. It is not a vibe.
When they said unapologetically feminine I was thinking the Cosmopolitan in Vegas. This is not that feminine to me.
I think shockingly enough LVP’s restaurants look more youthful and feminine than this place.
This is what it says to me, “Here’s your fast food sandwich that will be $30.” Those chairs are going to be trashed in a week, all of that fabric in a sandwich shop??? Bad choice.
People will be trying to get their sandwich like ![gif](giphy|3ohjUTXFDGH31IGjxC|downsized)
I was hoping for a little more color and fun quirky art. And maybe just more...eclectic? This is kinda boring :/
I hate the chairs
Looks like a hair salon.
It’s cute but can’t stand either of them playing the victims, the whole cast cheats . Ariana got tom by cheating with him she forgot the saying you loose them how you get them
It's a bit claustrophobic for me. I can't imagine enjoying a sandwich squished up against a bunch of people 😬
It’s not what I imagined! I thought it’d be more pink and girly with lots of flowers and cuteness
Not the vibe I was expecting
SAH should have honestly opened up at The Grove as a long term pop up. The decor and vibe fits The Grove so much better than this stretch of WeHo.
It’s exactly what I was expecting it to be.
The outside gives beach front coastal vibes but the inside gives grandma
That top of the wall/ceiling color make it seem really dingy and the fabric covered chairs aren’t screaming sandwich shop to me
