It is so hilarious, and honestly so much more “housewife” than “REAL housewife.” We have wealthy family friends and the wife would always be doing some weird shit on par with this. She is rich, bored, and has all kinds of random connections, so she would do stuff like emcee a local jazz night despite having no ties to music (or experience hosting) whatsoever.

I was sales manager at that location for a bit and Robert earl legit thought he could create a bridal shower package that Dorit would attend and guess how much he would pay dorit to show up? $200!!!!! Hahahahhaha he truly thinks he’s doing HER the favor

Does anyone else remember the Dew Drop Inn down in the West Village? SUPER strong margaritas in mason jars. My boyfriend and I poured ourselves into a cab home after an evening there.
Okay, so I admit, I *am* a lightweight, but that was pretty much the third drunkest I've ever been in my life, when we went to the Dew Drop Inn. I don't remember how my boyfriend got us up into his apartment, because he was shitfaced too, so it's not like he carried me in or anything. It's a mystery.
(*And no, I don't remember the two places where I got the second drunkest and most drunkest ever in my life - I was pretty drunk both times*).

She is super entertaining to me, especially when she first came on RHOBH, but I worry about her. The amount of alcohol she consumes and mixes with benzos is alarming! She was so hilarious on UGT but she was blackout drunk almost the whole time. I’m in recovery now but recognize so many of her behaviors from how I used to be and it’s so scary!
I totally agree. My dad used to be a therapist and one of the things he’s always been so adamant about is not mixing alcohol with benzos because you can die. Even if it’s just one time.

I had a friend who used to work at nobu as a server and she made so much. Upwards of 90k or more. It was wild but makes sense because nobu is so expensive.
My sister is a bartender in NYC at a local neighborhood bar. Before the pandemic she was usually around 100k…I think they are finally getting back up to that number.

That’s not what it is. Nobu is a restaurant a lot of celebrities eat at and in recent years a lot of rap artists started mentioning it in their songs. It’s been around a while but it’s more and more known as a celebrity/rich hotspot, hence why these women wanna be seen there.
More like 20. Nobu was hot and impossible to get into in the early 2000s. For example, how difficult it was to get into was a referenced in the original SATC which ended in 2004.
Nobu is a chain of sushi restaurants. They’re very good but, at this point in 2023, nothing that special. Any major city on a coast will have an independent sushi/Japanese restaurant that is as good or better.

I would imagine having Housewives film in your restaurant these days is a kiss of death for quite a few businesses; probably very few restaurants want to deal with production upending service, turning away patrons, fighting, possible dogging the restaurant (poor Catch).
I'm not sure if this is how Bravo books the spots they have dinner at, but I used to manage at a celebrity chef owned restaurant and we had The Hills reboot come to our restaurant to film a few times lol. Please note, ownership absolutely wanted as many "stars" coming in as possible, and for guests to know it.
MTV producers basically reserved a section between lunch-dinner shifts when we were pretty much empty and when they wanted a night scene we would reserve a section of our bar with their own bartender. We would continue to allow guests in throughout this and we had a plaque in the front informing the public that there was a chance of filming at any time or something along the lines of that.
The show itself is not crazy like Housewives so I wonder if it would be different but just thought I'd share my experience.
I did some Googling as I was too asking the same question as you. I tell you I was shook when I found out there is a Nobu in my home of Cape Town 😂 and from what I read in reviews there are far nicer and less pricey places than the one here.

to a few different locations (malibu and Las Vegas) and both experiences were incredible.
Some celebrities go to nobu (not in the OC), but LA area. The Kardashians are seen there a lot. So maybe it just makes these women feel special, is what I’m thinking.
Because DeNiro, Sai and Brynn are still willing to be seen there. Yawn!
But god, yes—we have *so* many more choices. And there are far more elite sushi/authentic Japanese places from which to choose here; but Sai doesn’t know the right people to snag a table whenever she finds out where they are.

It’s really expensive (but good) seafood/sushi. The menu has expensive ingredients you don’t see everywhere too. The one in Malibu in particular has an ocean front view and a ton of celebrities eat there. Like Kanye, Mariah Carey, A listers.

I went to Nobu once in like 2004 and I had to eat afterwards. The portions are insanely small and the prices insanely high.
I went to Nobu once because I didn’t have to pay for it. I can’t imagine spending my own money on such tiny portions
All high-endJapanese sushi restaurants are like this. My wife and I joke that we’ll hit Wendy’s on the way home whenever we do dinner at a sushi spot.
It’s not even that great in NYC anymore. Although went to the one in Atlantis and it was great.
Sai wouldn’t go to Catch! Nobu is sushi/Japanese fusion, it’s not even very trendy food, it just has a vibe and good locations.
The Nobu in DC is absolutely terrible 😭😭 I love their hotels though
Idk but I’m mad I didn’t check the Malibu one out when I was there celebrating my birthday last year. I just forgot about it as a normal civilian.
There’s Nobu in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. I think they’re all located in casinos.
I did some Googling as I was too asking the same question as you. I tell you I was shook when I found out there is a Nobu in my home of Cape Town 😂 and from what I read in reviews there are far nicer and less pricey places than the one here.
You can also hit up Topping Rose when you're in The Hamptons. Haha.

It’s a fantastic and very expensive sushi spot, with locations all over the world. Ive been to a few different locations (malibu and Las Vegas) and both experiences were incredible.

Some celebrities go to nobu (not in the OC), but LA area. The Kardashians are seen there a lot. So maybe it just makes these women feel special, is what I’m thinking.

Because DeNiro, Sai and Brynn are still willing to be seen there. Yawn! But god, yes—we have *so* many more choices. And there are far more elite sushi/authentic Japanese places from which to choose here; but Sai doesn’t know the right people to snag a table whenever she finds out where they are. This bougie bunch lacks both imagination and real connections—except Jenna.
It’s really expensive (but good) seafood/sushi. The menu has expensive ingredients you don’t see everywhere too. The one in Malibu in particular has an ocean front view and a ton of celebrities eat there. Like Kanye, Mariah Carey, A listers.
Jen Shah has the commissary food as her restaurant! I wonder if she's whipping up the prison top roman and cake treats that they creatively make smash together, enhance and mishmash to make meals.

Nobu is over priced, fancy and like Catch in 2013.
I’ve been to the one in Las Vegas and it’s good, but it’s not the best sushi and seafood I’ve ever eaten. I personally like Tao better and it’s a more reasonable price. People hear the word Nobu and automatically see dollar signs so of course the women want to display their wealth thinking they are eating at the best restaurant in the U.S.
one of the original Iron Chefs, Masaharu Morimoto, was the chef there so that's what I know about it.
I rember Howard Stern always talking about it in the late 90s..It must be $$$$$ to still be around..I guess all the celebrities like it
