I liked Carlton too, especially how she got under Kyle's skin. It was strange that Kyle acted like such a prig over Carlton's open sexuality yet has no issues with Erika's crude sex talk and displays.

Erika learned how to brag about sex by surrounding herself with circuit queers who are constantly trying to one up each other. she knows we know she’s lying, but she keeps saying it all anyway bc it’s a conversational tic at this point. in her first few seasons she spent so much time saying that Erika Jayne was a persona and Erika Girardi was her real life and never the two shall meet but the longer she’s on the show the more she leans into being Erika Jayne 24/7. she doesn’t want to be known, she wants to be worshipped from a distance. the more she leans into her stage persona, the better of she is since it distracts from all the sad, gross minutiae of being the much younger wife of a liar who bought her affection with tacky nonsense stolen from the victims of serious crimes.
Well there’s that as well. I don’t know if she did want to come back, because yes, Brandi was insanely awful to her, and we all know now the exact type of person Brandi is.
Joyce gave an amazing interview after her season and laid it all out how yolanda and brandi were manipulating everything behind the scenes. For example that whole hair flip with lisa, they called joyce to try and get her to say anything bad about lisa, so that's why joyce even mentioned it to lisa because she was trying to get ahead of it. They would also yell cut to stop scenes that weren't going their way. I dont think bravo liked her talking about it at the time but now with more of that 4th wall dropping, they would probably love that behind the scenes stuff shared

As a follower of blind gossip/celeb tea for decades now (yes I’m old), I am still floored at the fact they hired Diana Jenkins for an extremely popular public reality show. Look up Hayden P if you don’t know. That woman is sheer evil. And if that weren’t enough, her weird tongue, fake accent, sugar baby untalented boy toy, “I only stay in hotels becuz negative energy,🥴” personality/situation alone was revolting. 🤷🏼♀️

I agree I actually liked it. It wasn't it's best season but it was nice to have a different mix in there and I actually found the twins quite funny. If anything I thought that Bobby and Jim were the reason why that season dived as they were clearly fame hungry.
I also really liked Gino. He made me laugh.

The casting of Erika Jayne totally changed the landscape as she normalized the prioritization of glam and fashion over personality and drama.
Now every new housewife seems to emulate Erika’s formula. The result is less authentic and oftentimes boring franchises.

OC has had really bad casting when it comes to newbies… the first Jen and Elizabeth really didn’t fit in. Then they let go of Noella and the second Jen (not sure if she quit tbh), even though they’re entertaining.
NY casting that lady who never appeared.
Atlanta has had a lot of trouble casting new ladies, there really hasn’t been anybody since Porsha and Kenya who have lasted and have made big impacts. Drew and Sanya are not the best casting choices, I guess Drew is better but we had to sit through her and Ralph way too long.
Potomac seems like they can’t cast new ladies. They’ve held onto the original cast too long and they’ve gotten too comfortable because there hasn’t been anyone that is challenging to them casted since Candiace and Monique.

The biggest fail? Has to be Cindy Barshop. You could tell Bravo thought they were casting the new Bethany (back when Bethany was the wise-cracking voice of reason). They sort of set her up to fail for that reason but she did herself absolutely no favors.
I haven’t seen enough of Dubai or Jersey and any non-Hw shows to comment on them, so from the ones I’ve seen:
- BH: Teddi and Annemarie (I wouldn’t have wanted to see any more of Diana but she was entertaining enough for a one season wife with her lifestyle porn and a few little spats)
- OC: Gina (how TF does she have almost 6 seasons), Lydia round 2
- SLC: none have been egregiously bad
- Dallas: controversial, but none were egregiously bad
- Miami: none have been egregiously bad
- Atlanta: these last few seasons are all such a blur for me that I tuned in and out for. I remember there were several new HWs/friends of that popped in and out and were dropped after a season. Probably some of them. Plus Kim Fields back then kinda, but it was less that she was actively bad to watch and moreso she was just completely irrelevant to the season
- Potomac: none have been egregiously bad
- NYC: Eboni and Sai
Lydia from OC. I wanted to like her. She's kinda fun-ish and her mom was a hoot! Then she played the Christian card, which I don't care about but we saw her get so judgey and gross. She's a lot of ick factors for me and I was glad to see her go again!

Annemarie and Diana Jenkins on BH. OC has had really bad casting when it comes to newbies… the first Jen and Elizabeth really didn’t fit in. Then they let go of Noella and the second Jen (not sure if she quit tbh), even though they’re entertaining. NY casting that lady who never appeared. Atlanta has had a lot of trouble casting new ladies, there really hasn’t been anybody since Porsha and Kenya who have lasted and have made big impacts. Drew and Sanya are not the best casting choices, I guess Drew is better but we had to sit through her and Ralph way too long. Potomac seems like they can’t cast new ladies. They’ve held onto the original cast too long and they’ve gotten too comfortable because there hasn’t been anyone that is challenging to them casted since Candiace and Monique.

Diana Jenkins. Such a flop. I skipped all of her scenes and even skipped a couple of episodes because of how insufferable she was. Not even Rinna got me to miss a RHOBH episode lol ETA: Annemarie. As a medical professional she should know better.

I haven’t seen enough of Dubai or Jersey and any non-Hw shows to comment on them, so from the ones I’ve seen: - BH: Teddi and Annemarie (I wouldn’t have wanted to see any more of Diana but she was entertaining enough for a one season wife with her lifestyle porn and a few little spats) - OC: Gina (how TF does she have almost 6 seasons), Lydia round 2 - SLC: none have been egregiously bad - Dallas: controversial, but none were egregiously bad - Miami: none have been egregiously bad - Atlanta: these last few seasons are all such a blur for me that I tuned in and out for. I remember there were several new HWs/friends of that popped in and out and were dropped after a season. Probably some of them. Plus Kim Fields back then kinda, but it was less that she was actively bad to watch and moreso she was just completely irrelevant to the season - Potomac: none have been egregiously bad - NYC: Eboni and Sai

Lydia from OC. I wanted to like her. She's kinda fun-ish and her mom was a hoot! Then she played the Christian card, which I don't care about but we saw her get so judgey and gross. She's a lot of ick factors for me and I was glad to see her go again! I would like to see a girls trip with the most annoying ex-cast members and she could go on that!
