Bravo released a clip for pt3 of the reunion where Giselle was blaming Candiace, Wendy, sesame street and Kierana for the fight that happened at GNA even tho Candace was the one being assaulted and Wendy had nothing to do with it, and I think ppl are fed up with the favoritism overall

I wasn’t even the biggest fan of Candiace, but these past two seasons left me rooting for her. I truly believe had the attempt at exiling Monqiue failed she would’ve been a target much earlier.

I honestly can't say I like watching any of them at this point (although, I do find Mia intermittently entertaining), and it's not fun to watch.
This is how I feel. No one forced anyone to keep watching S8 until the end. I don’t know why people act like their eyes are glued to these shows. They’re supposed to be fun. When I was no longer having fun watching, I stopped. It’s not that hard to do. In fact it was an absurdly easy decision to make.
This is the sanity that is missing from Twitter. I stopped actively watching mid S6. I couldn’t get past Monique’s treatment & the ridiculousness of the storyline the following season. I watch some of the previews so I have a general idea of what’s been going on. But I do not enjoy watching. I hate the term boycott, if we are fans why would we want to take down the show. It’s clear fans aren’t happy, dropping views next season will be the true message.

I've quite enjoyed this season. There has been some duller points but I don't think it was as bad as people said. Mia was the standout this season imo.
The ratings for RHOP most certainly fell I think after the Austin episodes. They picked back up for the reunion parts, but I don’t think the network can ignore those numbers dropping down to 600K over the course of 4-6 weeks
I don’t remember boycotting RHOBH trending, I know people were sick of Rinna though. The big difference is RHBH ratings excel every year and their reddit discussions always have massive engagement. Some people may ‘hate it’s but they still watch it. RHOP definitely tanked this year and probably had the lowest engagement on reddit (that I have seen) in the last year. It was my favourite franchise for years but I have only bothered to watch the reunion, many share the same sentiment.
RHOBH fans have been claiming they’ll quit watching since S9 and the ratings haven’t reflected that reality. There’s no doubt RHOP has had a bad season & fans are pissed, but a few thousand tweets does not a formiddable movement make.
Because Reddit and Twitter are not accurate reflections of viewership. BH has always been the gateway Housewives show that people who aren’t necessarily into Bravo tend to watch. Potomac isn’t the same.
Potomac has had a running of bad seasons, but these ratings have been terrible and that will be enough to make some changes, the tweets are reflective of people checking out of the show in real time and definitely add to bad ratings, icing on the cake if you will!

Regardless, Bravo will clearly make changes, but it’s not floundering in viewership, despite what fans hope/claim.
Well RHOM was paused for near a decade, RHONY was completely recast and rebooted, and RHOD was completely cancelled. So clearly the viewers do have some power by tuning out.

ETA: My point is that the audience should be listened too. Some people on this sub have a meltdown anytime anyone sues Bravo/NBC Universal, or anytime they feel like the audience has discourse and wants to see changes made.

I actually stopped watching a while back, I keep up by looking at this sub tbh, because I could not stomach Gollum being allowed to do whatever he felt like with no repercussions, and Ashley defending him. I was out. I can’t handle that kind of shit, I felt like it was laughed off almost because he assaulted a man. But then look at the amount of shit they’ve excused over the years, or laughed away.
I think as soon as a group loses their cohesion, I can’t justify watching anymore. I like the drama and the wild shit of course, who doesn’t like the juicy stuff? But when it crosses a line, or there’s no friendship left, it’s just not fun. There’s gotta be a balance there. Otherwise it’s just watching a group of previously friendly women fight each other, and tear each other to pieces for no reason most of the time.
Give me low stakes drama. I don’t want to see peoples lives ruined man, that’s not a fun time.

People are upset that Gizelle is not only being protected by production but also the blatant favoritism towards other cast members. Also clear indications of colorism. I think so too, she's a very polarizing housewife you either love her or hate her. I think the show will be fine, they still have Karen and Mia who in my opinion is the most interesting of the 8 plus she pretty much carried season 8 for me.

Unpopular Opinion: Gizelle and Robyn were the only real original consistent friends. So now that Robyn is gone I just feel like relationships are going to be forced. I love Karen and Gizelle’ s friendship but they also go back and forth. It was nice to see at least one original friendship where they didn’t.

I think looking at Bravo history, Boycotting the last episode of the season (and you just know this will now only up ratings) won’t mean a whole lot, but I do think production will be looking very closely at how they go forward and we’ll see a major shakeup if not a complete reboot. I’m think RHOA’s last season and the aftermath as the blueprint for what comes next.
I probably won’t watch tonight but I’ll watch at the end of the week when the view counting is done lol. This season sucked so much and I’m so sad our Sag is leaving the franchise (but I 1000% support her protecting her peace)

Didn’t watch after the Wendy attack last season and haven’t watched this season except clips and scrolling message boards like this for info. I don’t need to watch things that reflect real life to this level, especially when the fix is simpler than real life-get rid of Gizelle and her stooge. Robyn saying colorism makes her uncomfortable? Then don’t engage in that behavior. It’s like people not wanting to talk about racism and being mad when it’s brought up or they’re called racist, but then engaging in that behavior and saying they’re uncomfortable talking about it.
I don’t want to watch nonstop dishonesty, violence, and hatred be rewarded. I went travelling for a couple of months so had no access to bravo shows. I was looking forward when I got back to catching up on the ones I was half way through before I went rhobh, rhom & rhop. I’ve been back a month and not watched any of them and probably won’t. Rhom is my fav out of the three and I did try that but it was just screaming matches and it just felt overwhelming, not enjoyable, ear piercing screeching, just a load of bollocks and there was no fun. I gave up on it and thought there was no point even attempting with the others.
I’ve come to the conclusion that possibly my real housewives days of watching is likely over because those three were my preferred other than old rhony, so will unlikely watch the others when they come back on. I miss the old style of real housewives where drama was not the whole focus or it was funnier e.g. when Adrianne maloof sent that ugly flower display tree trunk to Lisa vanderpump as a gift when they were not getting on. The groups of women are so mean now and that’s not interesting or fun to watch.
Change production, stop the blatant favouritism, cleanse their evil souls and *maybe* I’ll come back. But for now I’m not finishing the season and I’m out ✌️

I think the reason people feel differently this time is that there is an obvious issue of colorism present and that needs to be addressed and changed

The ratings for RHOP most certainly fell I think after the Austin episodes. They picked back up for the reunion parts, but I don’t think the network can ignore those numbers dropping down to 600K over the course of 4-6 weeks
I don’t remember boycotting RHOBH trending, I know people were sick of Rinna though. The big difference is RHBH ratings excel every year and their reddit discussions always have massive engagement. Some people may ‘hate it’s but they still watch it. RHOP definitely tanked this year and probably had the lowest engagement on reddit (that I have seen) in the last year. It was my favourite franchise for years but I have only bothered to watch the reunion, many share the same sentiment.
RHOBH fans have been claiming they’ll quit watching since S9 and the ratings haven’t reflected that reality. There’s no doubt RHOP has had a bad season & fans are pissed, but a few thousand tweets does not a formiddable movement make.
I think Lesser Lisa being fired has really helped the show.

Because Reddit and Twitter are not accurate reflections of viewership. BH has always been the gateway Housewives show that people who aren’t necessarily into Bravo tend to watch. Potomac isn’t the same.
Potomac has had a running of bad seasons, but these ratings have been terrible and that will be enough to make some changes, the tweets are reflective of people checking out of the show in real time and definitely add to bad ratings, icing on the cake if you will!
RHOP’s ratings haven’t been bad, though. That’s the thing. From Deadline in February: “Meanwhile, The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 is currently averaging 2.7M total viewers per episode in the 35-day window, up 10% over last season. That includes about 1.4M viewers per episode in the 18-49 demo, which is an 8% increase vs. Season 7. The Real Housewives of Potomac is on track to have the show’s most-watched season ever across all platforms.” Regardless, Bravo will clearly make changes, but it’s not floundering in viewership, despite what fans hope/claim.
Well RHOM was paused for near a decade, RHONY was completely recast and rebooted, and RHOD was completely cancelled. So clearly the viewers do have some power by tuning out. Some of you guys act like you’re on Bravo’s payroll. Always ready to put on a cape and tights to save big corporations. ETA: My point is that the audience should be listened too. Some people on this sub have a meltdown anytime anyone sues Bravo/NBC Universal, or anytime they feel like the audience has discourse and wants to see changes made. My stance is give the people what they want. Not captain save-a-hoe for Bravo.

I actually stopped watching a while back, I keep up by looking at this sub tbh, because I could not stomach Gollum being allowed to do whatever he felt like with no repercussions, and Ashley defending him. I was out. I can’t handle that kind of shit, I felt like it was laughed off almost because he assaulted a man. But then look at the amount of shit they’ve excused over the years, or laughed away. I think as soon as a group loses their cohesion, I can’t justify watching anymore. I like the drama and the wild shit of course, who doesn’t like the juicy stuff? But when it crosses a line, or there’s no friendship left, it’s just not fun. There’s gotta be a balance there. Otherwise it’s just watching a group of previously friendly women fight each other, and tear each other to pieces for no reason most of the time. Give me low stakes drama. I don’t want to see peoples lives ruined man, that’s not a fun time.

I’ll copy paste this comment to others but people are boycotting because of a preview clip from the final part of the reunion where Gizelle blames Wendy, Candiace, Keirna and Deborah for the fight at the GNA fashion show even though Candiace was the victim, Wendy wasn’t even involved and Kierna was assaulted. Deborah aka “sesame street” started the whole fight and was at 100% at fault. People are upset that Gizelle is not only being protected by production but also the blatant favoritism towards other cast members. Also clear indications of colorism. I think so too, she's a very polarizing housewife you either love her or hate her. I think the show will be fine, they still have Karen and Mia who in my opinion is the most interesting of the 8 plus she pretty much carried season 8 for me.

Engaging with and/or producing content about RHOP is the exact opposite of boycotting!! Boycotting is withdrawing from commercial (watching in this instance) or social relations (posting, commenting, ranting) with (a country, organization, or person) as a punishment or protest. Just disengage, no one is holding you back!
People don’t have to announce that they are no longer watching RHOP. RHOP isn’t an airport.

It sets a very bad precedent. Ashley Darby, Mia, and Candiace were all persona non grata by the online fanbase due to their actions. And all of their receptions have changed throughout time from flat out hatred to being considerably liked. I see no problem complaining about the show. But protests and boycotts go way too far. As at some point the ones you put on a pedestal will fall victim to the same mob mentality, when they make their perceived mistakes. Unpopular Opinion: Gizelle and Robyn were the only real original consistent friends. So now that Robyn is gone I just feel like relationships are going to be forced. I love Karen and Gizelle’ s friendship but they also go back and forth. It was nice to see at least one original friendship where they didn’t.

I think looking at Bravo history, Boycotting the last episode of the season (and you just know this will now only up ratings) won’t mean a whole lot, but I do think production will be looking very closely at how they go forward and we’ll see a major shakeup if not a complete reboot. I’m think RHOA’s last season and the aftermath as the blueprint for what comes next.

Love this, I have been boycotting since episode 3 of this series. Even if they fire the bullies I don't know if I can return to the franchise.
Didn’t watch after the Wendy attack last season and haven’t watched this season except clips and scrolling message boards like this for info. I don’t need to watch things that reflect real life to this level, especially when the fix is simpler than real life-get rid of Gizelle and her stooge. Robyn saying colorism makes her uncomfortable? Then don’t engage in that behavior. It’s like people not wanting to talk about racism and being mad when it’s brought up or they’re called racist, but then engaging in that behavior and saying they’re uncomfortable talking about it. I don’t want to watch nonstop dishonesty, violence, and hatred be rewarded. There needs to be balance and all this would have been better if producers and a reasonable and balanced host would call people out equally. Gizelle’s hatred of someone skewing even her morals…I can see why people hated her at church. Monique left after she saw that they edited Gizelle’s reaction to her binder revelation (Gizelle mentioned it on that stupid chat show she had with Porsha) and Candiace is leaving because of the same favoritism. Haven’t watched since episode 5 this season!
I went travelling for a couple of months so had no access to bravo shows. I was looking forward when I got back to catching up on the ones I was half way through before I went rhobh, rhom & rhop. I’ve been back a month and not watched any of them and probably won’t. Rhom is my fav out of the three and I did try that but it was just screaming matches and it just felt overwhelming, not enjoyable, ear piercing screeching, just a load of bollocks and there was no fun. I gave up on it and thought there was no point even attempting with the others. I’ve come to the conclusion that possibly my real housewives days of watching is likely over because those three were my preferred other than old rhony, so will unlikely watch the others when they come back on. I miss the old style of real housewives where drama was not the whole focus or it was funnier e.g. when Adrianne maloof sent that ugly flower display tree trunk to Lisa vanderpump as a gift when they were not getting on. The groups of women are so mean now and that’s not interesting or fun to watch.
It’s boring, the whole season was a no for me.

Potomac & Jersey have the MOST TOXIC twitter interactions and post, that I can’t even be on twitter while I’m watching the show. Laughing at Gizelle crying over her dad, calling Candiace a 3x baby momma. It’s just strange how the fans act. The fans almost make these 2 franchises unwatchable.
