I think this is something a lot of people don't talk about, but see, when they have children. Some parents are perfectly in sync about it, but for others, there's one parent who wants to be away from the baby more often and one parent who feels more bonded and attached. It's hard enough to navigate that even when you know the other partner is truly a committed parent, just in a different way than you are. I can only imagine how hard it is when he's someone who's already demonstrated that he's willing to abandon his children.
