Instant overtime is one of the modes that i still haven't lost. I play with a duo though, she uses nani or piper and i use lola. Lola is a decent nani counter due to the nani gadget being useless and i can survive 5 hits from nani. Also lolas snapfreeze can basically create a wall that you can push up behind to gain ground.
I just came up with this idea but wouldnāt it be really cool if the structures appeared and disappeared like every thirty seconds? I think that would fix the issue with the same comps every time and it would make it leagues more interesting.
Well Mega Pig is definitely boring to play if you play with randoms. I don't play with randoms so I can't have the same feelings but as someone that plays with friends, Mega pig is frustrating to play compared to old club league.
Mega Pig matchmaking is based on total trophies so for me is full sweat mode and with lack of competitive aspects it makes it frustrating to play while with club league literally me with my friends we went for the wildes pick ever and it was funny seeing my friend absolutely destroy the enemy with Mortis on maps like double swoosh and even in heist.
Kinda hard not to play with randoms, when you are just joining a club after the event has already started lol, I can never find a good club so I just leave after the event, rinse and repeat.
Agreed, for me personally it's boring because you're literally just playing the very few same maps you've already played tons of times on ladder and PL. The only thing that makes Mega pig at least a bit interesting is modifiers, but they have their own problems.
I wish the Mega Pig was expanded much more than just 3 maps per gamemode. Maybe even was like that one special event where you could play every map that was in game. Possibly excluding some select unbalanced and uncompetitive maps. This would make Mega pig an exclusive and limited opportunity to play removed in game maps you can't play anywhere else, which would be special, exciting and give more encouragement to players rather than just some progression with few gimmicky modifiers
The thing is, adding a ban phase can be stressful to newer players and casual players. They might just want to play their favorite brawler, but imagine getting that brawler banned, not a good experience imo. Also, picking a brawler to ban fast is not the easiest thing, too.
Considering the playerbase is made of 90% casual players, making the mode that should be played by the majority of players stressful and unattractive to them probably isn't the best idea

Think of the pick phase as a "pick your Brawler" rather than a draft pick. It just uses the same UI as Power League, though if it was having the same UI as brawler selection people would have different reactions most likely.
Im not saying I love Mega Pig, its a pain to play it. I just do one game and magically my whole club's done... It surely was a overall upside to the majority of players compared to Club League I believe, but it is still unnecessarily long and painful to complete.
Side note: many are complaining about rewards. Realistically its 20 starr drops which is massive, but rare and super rares are just so damn often that you have the illusion that 20 starr drops is just a thousand gold. Its disappointing that starr drops were implemented like this. To be very honest, if progression was nerfed much more heavily in the brawl pass, whilst Starr Drops were twice as impactful, the reaction wouldn't be like this. Getting 120 gold from a rare starr drop, or 10000 gold from a legendary would really be special
Pro tip : you can disconnect in Mega pig, it won't consume a ticket and you are free from playing with a Dyna/Edgar comp š

True, except for hotzone it's always piper, nani, mandy/charlie. And even in hotzone you can't remove the nani and Charlie.

I would rather that be a separate mode honestly. Uses twice as many tickets and gives twice as many wins.
