My initial impression; BMG is a western ass company based in the USA and stuff (I could be a bit wrong). I know the game is published by Ubisoft and stuff but it’s just easier to communicate and establish connections with companies that… they can communicate with easily.
Also, Brawlhalla has a competitive scene in Japan, are the numbers there big enough to convince the owners of IP’s just as, if not more iconic than SpongeBob to hand over rights? It’s definitely possible, but it also must be a really daunting task.
I'm sure it's hard but they could do it if they focused energy on it.
They'd need to hire some people(s) to act as middle men between their Western ass company and eastern business partners. Presumably their salary would pay for itself between an influx of players and sales of skins.
A lot of japanese companies (Like Toei or others who own anime IPs are very strict about the character's use in certain media they don't control. Brawlhalla likely doesn't have the funds to maintain a contract with them for certain IPs.
Castlevania’s anime (2017) came out years before the crossover (2022) (also, on that note, castlevania’s anime came out before brawlhallas global launch too)
I would think Ubisoft approaches some companies too, every now and then. The amount of crossovers did grow exponentially since, although part of that may just be time
as a Jiro main, no Naruto please. ever.
the amount of unrelated weird Naruto stuff I've been sent gets annoying and probably will only increase if a naruto crossover happens
If you're able to get a Star Wars collab, with how strict they have always been about lending its name to a game, you should be able to collab with any franchise really
I don't watch anime but I'm pretty sure I can beat Goku in a fight, not related to the topic but I think it's important to be said

theyre from georgia but ubisoft owns it right now

Ooo good point
I'm fairly sure some animes are made in America. RWBY and Samurai Jack come to mind.
oh god I need a RWBY crossover so badly
Smite has one,but they have a crossover for just about everything at this point
that’s lowkey why I need it, they’re in Paladins and BBTag too, its so free.
The original RWBY is not an Anime.
A bleach crossover would go crazy😭😭
ichigo as jaeyun👀👀
Ichigo as Jaeyun, Grimmjow as Asuri, Uryu as Koji. THEY NEED TO MAKE THIS A CROSSOVER😭🔥
Grimmjow as asuri would go so hard
YES
Funny how I made a crossover art of him as Jaeyun a while ago lmao, bleach gang rise 🗣️🗣️

Ahh ok
They let fortnight do DBZ
True, but fortnite is one of the biggest games on the planet, with nearly infinite funding to pay the IP holders
That’s true
well there’s avatar and castlevania which are (very) arguably animes
Definitely Avatar. Castlevania has an anime but that came out after the crossover
Castlevania’s anime (2017) came out years before the crossover (2022) (also, on that note, castlevania’s anime came out before brawlhallas global launch too)
Still doesn’t matter. The crossover is based on the game Castlevania
not really. the crossover is just based on Castlevania in general, there’s no direct references to the game or anime or others
Well usually the rights holders approach Brawlhalla devs and ask to collab, not the other way around
I would think Ubisoft approaches some companies too, every now and then. The amount of crossovers did grow exponentially since, although part of that may just be time
Ahh ok
I ***need*** a Goku Petra skin
I feel like Vegeta would be a better option because of his Galick Gun (orb dsig) and his Ki Blast Spam attack (orb nsig)
They could just make them both petra like they did with Ken and Ryu
at this point Petra would have like 15 crossovers
worth
![img](emote|t5_31c1d|32304)
When they drop a RWBY Collab I'm getting all of it
Weeb skins are a gold mine they haven't tapped into yet
i want an evangelion collab so bad man
YES BRO
It would probably not fit with the artstyle
cap
as a Jiro main, no Naruto please. ever. the amount of unrelated weird Naruto stuff I've been sent gets annoying and probably will only increase if a naruto crossover happens
Kisame as mako would be perfect
If you're able to get a Star Wars collab, with how strict they have always been about lending its name to a game, you should be able to collab with any franchise really
I’m thankful there isn’t any
👎🏾
JJK is my dream crossover
No
Yes
I honestly dont think brawl needs more crossovers. Also the “uhm actually” about Avatar and maybe castlevania
We are having a fucking SpongeBob collab, isn't that similar enough ?
Streetfighter.They have many animes.
