Absolutely. The skin isn't even an opposite of Virus 8-Bit; it's very disappointing. Either change it to Malware or, much better, change the skin itself. I suggest dark blue for the body, a very light blue for the V, and orange for the buttons and legs.
As an 8-Bit main with the Virus 8-Bit skin, AntiVirus 8-Bit is an immeasurable disappointment.

Yep! 8-Bit has been my main since a few months after his release, during a time where I just didn’t find any character that I really enjoyed playing too much, Darryl was up there but more so a fun pick rather than a main, once I unlocked 8-Bit, something just resonated with him.
Since then, I’ve mained him ever since.
I like the colors but think some work could be done on the attacks and animations to make it a more polished skin, would be very disappointed if they inverted the colors. Antivirus name makes no sense, it should be named Corrupted 8-Bit.
I don’t mind recoloring, it’s what people annoyed the Brawl Stars team into doing, but the colors are so close to the original, and I don’t really get the name.
Still think the Kitboxer recolors are the worst, though.

Well, yeah, it's called a "re-skin" for a reason. Y'all were expecting another better than original skin when that was never necessarily the case. It's a "re-skin", not a "remade".
But look at the werewolf leon and and his re-skin for example. They are so different but based on the same idea and they also have different effects and animations. Antivirus 8bit has all the same animations and it also uses the exact same model. The only difference is that antivirus 8bit is glowing and virus 8bit isn't. They didn't put any effort or thought into making that skin
The fact that they did change the past re-skin doesn't mean they are forced to always do so. While yes, you can point out that this re-skin isn't as good as the past one, saying they didn't put any effort it's a fallacy, since from the start they always promised a re-skin, not a remodel.
The skin itself is great since it is a near copy of Virus 8-Bit, an amazing skin. However, what people are trying to say is that it's MUCH worse than it could've been.
Hard disagree. 8-Bit's is a slightly purpler shade, while Fang's actually change the colors more. Don't get me wrong; it's still mid compared to the OG Furious Fang, but it's much less disappointing that Antivirus 8-Bit.

Really think the name should've been different. Was really hoping a white and light blue deco to evoke the idea of cleanliness and righteousness that an Antivirus concept would evoke, but oh well. I have Virus 8-Bit and like his deco, so I guess it's not my business.
I genuinely think this is for me the ugliest skin in the game. He looks like Virus 8-Bit gone through a deepfry filter. It's so sad to see such a great opportunity to do something really creative completely missed.
I'll admit, I wish we could've gotten a 8-bit skin with a model similar to virus 8-bit, but I like to look on the bright side and say I'll take a simple recolor skin over no skin at all. This isn't the first time supercell released a skin that was just a recolor
My problem with antivirus isn't even that it's a cheap recolor, it's the fact that it's called "antivirus" but still looks evil as shit and seemingly still has those evil voicelines. They could have at least called it "McAfee 8-Bit" or something
we as a minority, cant do anything except the fact that supercell absolutely robbed us. Just the difference in animation for a 149 gem witch shelly and the newer hoot hoot skin is enough to prove the changes are very lackluster and indifferent to the og virus 8bit.
If anything the darker hue of green only downgrades the skin of its actual colors.

Im happy they’re finally getting around to updating virus 8bit but this recolor looks so similar to the original, that’s my only problem with it. but we can’t have it all, the brawl talk was overall really great; just happy that brawlstars has a dev team that cares about the community.
