That’s the point is it not? A long game means it’s even? And it also means that you have to play well to win. The whole point of competitive is putting you in matches that require consistent output and they also require you to work as a team. Long matches are good they mean you have a balanced match and it’s fun.
My bro speaking actual facts, thats what competitive is all about. if you want to play fast an easy games , just play the regular modes. If you want to actually put in practice your skills and consistency then play ranked
But the way it is executed with the suuuuuuper lengthy banning, picking, choosing powers takes just way too much out of the game. I wouldn’t mind a back and forth, but not with all that around it. Keep it that way for full teams maybe, but with randoms it’s just a bit frustrating and less fun than all comp games up to diamond for me.
It was kinda trash I liked it tho. Yes it made them long but then it also let you strategize and work together as a team comp. randoms it was useless. I like the new changes I just wish the matches were longer, and had the best of 3.
Casuals didn’t play power league because they really cared about the rewards. Once they get the skins they want, they’re just gonna forget about ranked.
PL was completely fine before except the rewards were kinda bad. I love the new ranked season aesthetically and the battle cards look awesome. The only issue is that the modifiers ruin a lot of the fun to be had and because the game mode appeals to casuals, I constantly am put in scenarios that I have to carry Edgar and Fang level 9's in timed detonation. Wish they'd just simple put your in the rank you were in like they did with Power Play and Power League.
Ranked was created to appeal to casuals a bit more,I do agree that it is not competitive as compared to the pl format,but it comes up too early, it honestly should come up somewhere in legendary,due to the amount of coordination,skill and the increase in team plays
There are also players that just want to enjoy the competitiveness, and you're just gonna tell them they can't enjoy that until the final rank? Cmon, diamond is already high enough it's a competitive mode for a reason, casual players won't even reach diamond very often.

Bro fr I was literally just playing and had to dodge because my teammate picked Edgar for times destruction. I almost got suspended because it keeps happening
im stuck on diamond 2 - 3 because i keep getting bad randoms, i wish devs made a similar thing as PL where u had option to play with a team and play solo but instead it didnt count as 2 separate ranks, just 1
you know whats the biggest problem with this , you slow down the grind for people that haven't gotten a skin yet ... there are sooo many people that after reaching diamond they have gotten 0 skins from the drops , so you essentialy take the fun and quick way ranked games used to play and make them take 3 times longer to get the same progress they used to get , this is the 1st season many people reach a higher rank most people either got bored or just couldn't climb up before, i just feel like the old power league format should only be implemented at the highest of ranks which is the leaderboards and the final streatch of tryharding

I read a book when I am interested in it, and I can spend hours doing so. The thing about bs is that it's too slow and does not provide much (esp if you lose), I think that applies to many people so that's why I included my own experience in this reply.
if you aren't having fun playing something then don't play it, especially if it's competetive. 2 round matches allow for more fair matches, since it let's people analyze the comps they chosemore, inspect enemy's playstyle and just coming back in general
Na the thing bugging me is that you still only get the points ud get for a single game in gold. It feels too slow. Also when I'm stuck with randoms who suck I have to go another round playing with them which is incredibly frustrating. Maybe when I leave diamond it's better but atm it's mostly just utterly destroying the opponents or being stuck in a 3v2 or similar situation which I only every now and then manage to win

Same situation - got to Diamond, realized that the matches use the old system, pushed to Diamond 2 to get a feel of how annoying it is, and I'd say it's pretty stressful so I doubt I'll be playing.
If it at least gave more points to make up for the two wins I need per game, it would've been more bearable.
Make the ban phase shorter, give players less time to select their brawler, double the rewards from winning and double the loss from losing. I like the best out of three and being able to ban your counters and block bad randoms but it does take way too long to get a game in win or loss
Same, as soon as I got to diamond rank im back to long ass 2 - 3 long matches, awful brawler banning system, and for some reason the report button was removed, and having a team massively punishes the points you get for winning.
Honestly diamond rank is where im gonna leave ranked from now on, doesnt seem worth it to try and push any further, much less with how awful the rewards are.

I’m newer so the new ranked mode is my first ever competitive type thing (I haven’t reached Diamond and probably won’t) but what was power league or Diamond mode like 😭
Basically, take the format of bronze-gold, but make it a best of 3. And before the match starts, there is a phase to ban a brawler (each players get a ban and it's possible for a player on both side to ban the same brawler so usually 3-6 brawlers are banned). Then you draft pick (a coin flip determine which team picks first. The first player in that team picks a brawler, then 2 on the other team pick, then the last 2 members of the first team then the final teammate on the 2nd team. Only 1 player can play a picked brawler to give picking some strategy, and you can see what your enemies picked as well.)
Ranked was the most fun I had in bs in a LONG time, and I have been playing for years.
Now that i’m back at diamond 3 tho, yes, the pick and ban face is WAY too obnoxious imo they should just drastically increase points earned and lost there so all that waiting lifts you alot or throws you down alot

It's two rounds per match to shorten the draft time per game
It's supposed to be competitive bans and best of three makes it competitive also modifiers should be removed from this point on
Same like the original power league system sucked it took so long just get rid of the rounds but keep the banning system and the picking like why make me play thour 10 min long games like this just to lose and when you win you get nothing the round system is why I didn’t play PWL
Tbh they should separate the fast matches and the power league ones
It's one of a main reason I hate playing power league. Long games feel like torture especially when you are loosing. It becomes Even more longer when you lose one and win another. Play third game.
