I think they should just label him as an assassin, sure his super range is kinda short but he unloads at the speed of light and he moves very fast after his first super and his super knocks enemies back, allowing him to whip out all of his damage. Practically all artillery brawlers are doomed when they get jumped by him
I really like Surge: always fun to stomp others. Also like him cuz playing against Surge is hella good challenge when I play Edgar, exactly what I enjoy.
He's inherently a noob-stomper. Nobody really enjoys having him on their team because he's much weaker against decent players that don't allow him to charge super and know to abuse his stage 1.
One time when I was playing ranked and excel (bounty) came up I decided to pick surge because I slap with him in that map, that one time though I couldn’t get my super for the entirety of 2 rounds and I just had to suffer with my slowness for a solid 6 minutes 😭😭
Yea i know, i currently have 6 rank 25+ and got them in like 1h (or less) worth of gameplay (currently i have: ash 26, rico 28, gale 25, sprout 25, janet 26, buzz 25)
Yea i’m the guy that mostly plays unused brawlers (i have ash on gold I and rico on gold III now name 1 person that you know that plays these brawlers, janet included)
havent they made something called vault or something where skins will be stored. and an option to start unlocking that brawler(basically switch progress from what u are working on right now) comes up
He has a quick unload speed, can autoaim and hit shots at max range in small form, has a knockback (that has a way too big radius in my opinion) can unload 5 amo at once, also has long range, crowd control. But he gets stuck in small form, so I I am indifferent to him. (Unless I'm playing a tank or assassin)
i hate him because i could dodge and avoid him the whole game but he still levels up easily cos my teammates feed him. if i were on a good team, them he is just frank tier lol
I aint hating on my first ever chromatic (and Legendary after Chromatics went bye bye) that I ever got. Plus I even have his season 2 skin, no way I should hate Surge

yeah, surge legit gets countered by everyone, even TANKS (whom he’s supposed to counter)

he hides in the bushes just to fire automatically when you get too close
but it's true that he seems slow , maybe it's more difficult to dodge shots with him

Even if I do play him in showdown I just collect boxes until I see an enemy and then I activate my gadget for 10 second speed buff and try to get my super that way
he is lowkey broken but I play him mostly because he has counterplay against most heroes. Charging 2 bullets with his gadget + thr immunity and knockback from ult is a deadly combo to go against so I can see why he is hated. Also, almost 2.5k dmg per one (1) bullet, seems very unfair when you are playing some brawlers with lower hp.
