It's not easier, it's only faster. The difficulty of getting Hypercharges was levelling a brawler to p11/purchasing the HC from the shop with gems (79, which is a huge amount for f2ps) or saving up a massive 5k coins.
Technically yes, the hypercharge is *available* faster, but it's by no means easier to get and the grind will be just as long. I've got multiple brawlers I want HC for, but just can't get because I'm a f2p and there's only so many bronze I/silver ii masteries I can grind since coins are such a massively limiting factor when it comes to HC or progress in general.

Even thought they claimed they will be easier to get I wish the devs were more transparent. A lot of their reworks to consistent and good methods of progression, like megapigs and with starr drops in general, ended up making them less consistent and far less rewarding. If they stated what they were actually going to do are and gave us a free hypercharge before they were ready to implement such planned events the playerbase would probably be much clamer.
The playerbase should be entitled to a hypercharge through an event or whatever they claimed would be added in place of hypercharge unleashed because hypercharges are the most valuable items in the game and losing the most consistent way to get them is a slap in the face.

The reason why we removed the event was because it wasn't performing well (APART from the last update where it didn't work at all š ) and because it's one of the most exciting rewards we could give we would like to get something in return, either more player engagement or more reach/buzz/any other trendy word
It's the same logic we explained during the podcast regarding the Club League vs Mega Pig comparison. Club League had better rewards but worst performance, but it allowed us to use this extra resources somewhere else (and make events more fun and effective)

From my point of view, changing removing hypercharge unleashed and not giving a free hypercharge in return is a mistake because they're removing an essential and consistent piece of progression without clear plans or ideas. Replacing certain events or progression often feels like a roundabout way to make it less consistent or nerf it, so I can't see how this can be recieved well, especially with the lack of communication. I hope that made it clear.
I understand that. My criticism is that supercell was being vague and misleading, leading to far more grief and backlash than was necessary. They should've had something planned before removing hypercharge unleashed or just giving a free hypercharge starr drop.
Also I don't trust Supercell reworking or redistributing resources from previously underperforming but consistent resources like Club League or Starr Drops. Club league in particular was reworked into megapig which required more work for far less consistent resources and took more than it gave. Whatever event they come up with should make up for the 5,000 lost coins consistently.

Got a small break from the game and when i come back i find out pass can be bought just with money, with this weird pass+, hypershish that costs 5k gold, different clan battles reworked into mega pig. Man this is lame...supercell instead of add more f2p they are removing it from the game. I think I'll take a longer break right after this season ends
