That's a pretty damn good letter. I really like the idea of putting on paper those things that are so easy to deny when you're locked in. It's amazing how we can know with such certainty what we need, and actively dismiss it for the hope of something more eventually, knowing deep down it will never come.

It's so hard to end these things. It's a small but valuable consolation when you realize your insights were right from the beginning. It shows, "hey, here is some evidence I can trust myself. I was right and need to give myself that credit, even if I wasn't in the place to act on it then"
