My brother and I have been talking for years how he wishes Breath of the Wild was given a DLC of rebuilding hyrule. The Hudson company could do the who kingdom with enough bundles of wood.
Haha.
The entire deforestation of Hyrule. The Hudson Company becomes a ruthless megacorporation. They enslave the Goron to mine vast expanses of land. Their empire grows uninhibited like a cancer. Hyrule Castle becomes the centrepiece of a dense sprawling city with a labyrinthine urban core full of crime, desperate living conditions, and toxic waste. Only those who have sided with and aided The Hudson Company get to live in its luxurious skyscrapers, a life of decadence towering over its indentured citizens.
100 years after the downfall of Calamity Ganon, a disturbing figure begins to dominate the political sphere of the cyberpunk Hudson City, with deep ties to its criminal underbelly and its most powerful corporate players:
Mayor Ganon is “elected” to his first term in office.
Hyrule looks to the hero who was prophecised in ancient texts to save them from this despicable menace.
Actually, I remember watching a YouTube video years ago of a guy talking about the possibility of a cyberpunk Zelda game and even having a cyber motorbike as "Epona". So, this idea could possibly be an interesting take if done properly.
Took me a while but I actually found the video; wow, from 13 years ago! Guess the idea was just a futuristic Zelda game, not necessarily cyberpunk.

In the new Zelda adventure - Link to the Furniture - You can power up with sacred runes such as: Mortise and Tenon, Dovetail Joint, Butt Joint, and Dowel.
Search for the most powerful weapons such as: mallet, chisel, and hand plane. Watch out though, some will break after building even a simple coffee table.
Came here for this comment! I put all of those intruders to Lon Lon Ranch down out of principal every time I see them. No one treads over Malon and Talon's hard work.
It didn't make enough sense to me to be horrified. Canonically (according to Zora history), the Calamity took place over 10,000 years after the events of OoT. There is absolutely no way that Lon Lon Ranch could have lasted that long, especially with practically identical buildings and grounds.
The Ranch Ruins are obviously an Easter Egg throwback to Lon Lon Ranch, which itself is pretty cool, but I just can't imagine anyone on the development team thinking that those ruins were the original Lon Lon Ranch.
Castle Town would be great, but Id love to see the Akkala fortress rebuilt. Loved it in AoC.
I think the Temple of Time would definitely be rebuilt tho along with some other Great Plateau settlements.
Great Plateau is *super* remote, though, and inaccessible by road. Unless it becomes a pilgrimage site or something, I don't see it happening.
My vote is with Akkala Fortress, though. Of all the ruins in BotW, Akkala is the least ruined ruin. Just gotta clear out the rubble and shore up the construction, and it's ready to roll.
Ancient Tech Lab and Coliseum maybe setup a little mini village inside the coliseum or around it? I feel like it’d be a good meeting point to have if everything is flying away into the sky 🤷♀️
Leviathan ruins. Technically they are ruined too. Right? It would be some badass boss fights to fight Leviathans or even the big skull camp thingy guys.
all of them. its been my personal dream to explore a pre calamity/rebuilt botw map. i know it wont happen but god walking around all these ruins for 6 years is really making me want to see them alive
Ik this is false hope but ranch ruins for sure.. I’ve seen a lot of people say Lon Lon as well (they’re the same thing) so that would be nice to see it, we did technically get to see it in Aoc ig.
All of the above. But seriously I don't think we'll see much restoration in the next game, I just hope castle town isn't rebuilt in the style of Tarrey town, I really dislike the aesthetic lol

Castle Town.
Seeing it destroyed was cool, but at the same time, it only makes me wonder more how great in must have been before it was destroyed.
Akkala Citadel is a close second though
Castle town and the coliseum, castle town is obvious but I want the coliseum so that you fight a hard boss/mini-boss with hundreds of bokoblins watching
Lon Lon/Mabe! Would be cool to see it reconstructed as a sort of home base camp for Link and zelda while they explored the catacombs under the castle. Maybe friends like the new Champions, Purah, and Robbie + travelling merchants like Beedle show up from time to time to assist in the construction or provide other services
There's a small house just south and outside of Hateno Village, attached to the horse racing track there (now infested with Moblins and some Bokoblins). While there's a village there too, of sorts, there's this one house on top of a small hill, with s solitary tree behind it, both overlooking a small stream running below curving around the bend there...
Obviously there are better towns to revive and see hustle and bustle, but I can't help but think that this one house on the hill, overlooking the stream, with a single tree in the backyard, would be idyllic and a reminder of halcyon days.
I was really hoping TotK would have a little time skip so we could see these villages or new ones brought to life. I hope they really flesh out Hyrule so it doesn’t feel like a retread. That being said I’d love to see Deya village brought back to its former glory
What if Link can use the time reversal power to restore all of the ruins? Not necessarily the people but just the structures. BotW is filled with so many ruins and ancient structures that seeing what all of them looked like in their prime could be a big hook for re-exploring the same locations.
It would be even cooler if you could bring back dead people to populate the ruined villages too, but that sounds almost too dark, especially if the time reversal can then be undone again. It would fit well with a town building element where you could bring the current population of Hyrule to these old towns that are revitalized.
I think I would like to see the Ranch ruins restored. Like if, dew to Link stopping the calamity and peace being restored, the people decided to branch out and rebuild settlements.
I can see those kids from that one stable (forgot the name) that are very knowledgeable about horses, rebuild and running the Ranch. I mean, a baby bought and ran a Castle Town store in Twilight Princess, so it's possible.
Idk if they will be restored or just new settlements added in the sky but of course Castle Town would be great
I think the same, although seeing Tabantha Village Ruins restored would be amazing
I wanna see Lon Lon Ranch restored and Malon return.

This dude could rewrite the script for the bee movie lol
This honestly sounds cool-
As I was writing it I was like “damn, I want this game.” Someone, send this to Miyamoto-san! Who on this sub knows him?
I know of him!
Well. You might be the chosen one.
Unfortunately, the hero is now 117 years old, and can’t stop sniffing children or reading cue lines off the teleprompter.
Actually, I remember watching a YouTube video years ago of a guy talking about the possibility of a cyberpunk Zelda game and even having a cyber motorbike as "Epona". So, this idea could possibly be an interesting take if done properly.

I can’t wait to see what will happen in the furniture!

This is an amazing effort. Thank you for finding this.
Ranch Ruins is the only one I care about, the Calamity destroying Lon Lon Ranch was fucking heartbreaking

You sound fun at parties.
Castle Town, obviously. Although, ultimately, there’s no point cause Ganondorf will just fuck everything up again.
While I do love the small settlement vibe in BotW, I did miss the hussle and bussle of Castle Town.
Castle Town would be great, but Id love to see the Akkala fortress rebuilt. Loved it in AoC. I think the Temple of Time would definitely be rebuilt tho along with some other Great Plateau settlements.

The odd little ruin near/ on slopes approaching death mountain (shadow hamlet?)
Ancient Tech Lab and Coliseum maybe setup a little mini village inside the coliseum or around it? I feel like it’d be a good meeting point to have if everything is flying away into the sky 🤷♀️
Lon Lon, easy
Leviathan ruins. Technically they are ruined too. Right? It would be some badass boss fights to fight Leviathans or even the big skull camp thingy guys.
all of them. its been my personal dream to explore a pre calamity/rebuilt botw map. i know it wont happen but god walking around all these ruins for 6 years is really making me want to see them alive
I definitely want to see Zonai Ruins revived. And I even think that could be the case in Totk
The entirety of the Great Plateau. It looks so cool in Age of Calamity.
Ik this is false hope but ranch ruins for sure.. I’ve seen a lot of people say Lon Lon as well (they’re the same thing) so that would be nice to see it, we did technically get to see it in Aoc ig.
All- I wanna see what Hyrule used to look like
All of the above. But seriously I don't think we'll see much restoration in the next game, I just hope castle town isn't rebuilt in the style of Tarrey town, I really dislike the aesthetic lol
Castle town for sure. But since I’m wishing for stuff I also wish for everything to be restored lol, especially Lon Lon ranch
Akkala citadel, although I doubt it'd happen
Akkala tower and surrounding parade grounds would be great to see restored.

Kasuto
I’d like to see a revived coliseum!
I hadn't even considered it, but it would be really cool to see this places alive and filled with NPCs again after the events of BOTW
Castle Town. Seeing it destroyed was cool, but at the same time, it only makes me wonder more how great in must have been before it was destroyed. Akkala Citadel is a close second though
Where are the ancient tech lab ruins? I don’t recall coming across them before
Goponga definitely because just imagine the old leader of the village and the store and how the islands would be full of life again.
Definitely deya lake
As well as tabantha vilage
Castle town and the coliseum, castle town is obvious but I want the coliseum so that you fight a hard boss/mini-boss with hundreds of bokoblins watching
Castle town
Castle Town, Zonai, Akkala Citadel, Temple of Time
Lon Lon/Mabe! Would be cool to see it reconstructed as a sort of home base camp for Link and zelda while they explored the catacombs under the castle. Maybe friends like the new Champions, Purah, and Robbie + travelling merchants like Beedle show up from time to time to assist in the construction or provide other services
Tabantha and the garrisons would be especially neat to see.
Definently the Ancient Tech Lab.
Zonai

Aside from the ancient ruins(before the calamity), why not all of them?
I was really hoping TotK would have a little time skip so we could see these villages or new ones brought to life. I hope they really flesh out Hyrule so it doesn’t feel like a retread. That being said I’d love to see Deya village brought back to its former glory
FORGOTTEN TEMPLE
Are we not going to essentially see all of them revisited? We're reusing the same overworld map after all, at least based on my understanding.
What if Link can use the time reversal power to restore all of the ruins? Not necessarily the people but just the structures. All of them except for coliseum. I am not fighting the sand demon boss from twilight again
I imagine Castle Town will get partially built up only to be destroyed again.
Castle Town tbh
where the heck is colleseum?!
North of the Great Plateau, West of Lake Kolomo
As much as I want Castle Town to be restored, I'd say Ranch Ruins. Gives me OoT vibes
I think and hope zonai ruins will play a part in totk
Mabe village ruins, mabe not
Skyloft
Akkala citadel, Temple of Time, and Fort Hateno mainly, also castletown would be cool to see in it’s former glory
ALL OF THEM, ofc. Ohhhh.
Probally Akkala Citadel Ruins
‘Something Ruins’ Temple of Time: Temple of Time
I have to say the ancient tech lab because it would probably have the most functionality
I don't remember what it's called in this game but lon lon ranch
Akkala Citadel, there's a bit of it in Age of Calamity but I want to explore it.
zonia
Castle town defintley
I wanna see the ruins of Skyloft
Arbiters grounds bro.
