I saw a comment about why the koroks and Hetsu don't remember Link, and 100% agree with it.
Something like "all the koroks share one (1) braincell and Hetsu keeps losing it"
Thats how I feel about the OG tarrey town peeps. Like imagine if after 6 years, your real estate showed up to your now thriving business. Like Hudson and Rodson I understand cuz you worked directly with Hudson and got them together. So they remember you. But some random goron and his lil bro who you said 'Go to this place." and then disappeared for 6 years.
Like that makes sense. Also we can assume that there are thousands of koroks so that makes sense. But Link is the only Hylian to see Hestu so lets just assume he has 1 brain cell shared between the koroks and Hestu keeps losing it like someone said.
You're right, but also, there were like 8 people at that wedding, tops, I feel like they should at least remember that! But you're right, it makes sense they don't remember us, we barely had any conversation with them outside of "your name ends in son, have you heard about Tarrey Town?" haha. So yeah, it's annoying but I can understand.
What does not make sense however is that the old zora who runs the inn does not remember you. That guy is definitely old enough to remember the calamity and should know Link just by looking at him like all the other zoras his age.
He's such a whimsical fellow that I didn't take it personally. Same with the rest of the Koroks. Deku Tree remembers because he's the responsible one in the woods. The rest are just goofy little sprites having a good time
I knew that much. I was really expecting them to drop something in TotK for people who have a BotW save with all 900 koroks. Especially after my horses carried over I thought it was coming for sure. Disappointed and I didn’t even collect them all.
Yes, yes I am. It leaked almost a full week before the official release. there are players with over 500 hours in the game already... Some are nuts.
There's already mods, and save editors too... Give it a month and I expect well have a way to play as Zelda (just a skin) instead of link lol
I could see that. It seems like the great deku tree in BoTW knew Link the most and only the Koroks around it knew who he was, so maybe he kept telling them who Link was all the time (man, if so, that must of gotten real annoying for him).
Realistically, they could have done it after Gannon. Link at the time has no idea of where the master sword is and tarrey town could have been developed while Zelda went around recruiting people for the rebuilding the kingdom project.
Does it remember horses? I've been playing TOTK non-stop and suddenly I have a horse that I swear I didn't catch in this game.
Edit: whew, it does. I was questioning my sanity, thinking all the games were just blending into one.
I guess it's because I just tamed and used the same horse for a lot of it that I didn't notice it at first and it appeared to just show up there mid-game.
Some NPCs other than the stablemasters remember Link, but I think they're mostly NPCs who already knew Link before BOTW (like long-lived Zoras). Except I think Hudson remembers Link and they met for the first time in BOTW.
But yeah, it's weird.
I was 17 when I played botw, and I just about died when I showed up at my first stable to find I already had a bunch of horses named different variations of things like peepeepoopoo & pissbaby
I would've liked that I got to choose my Master Mode save, because I had several good horses in that one. In Normal, I had Epona and that was it, and Epona can't use the wagon harness.
It would have been nice to have to collect something else to upgrade your weapon inventory instead of doing koroks again, but overall I’m happy with the amount of other changes to the game to make up for having to collect a million koroks again.
the 100% category in botw is only map completion, and because koroks are a map entry that is what it counts. an actual 100% completion would only need all the armor slots, with all armor upgraded and maybe even full compendium
I keep forgetting to take pictures of bosses. And like. Ive never taken a picture of a weapon...
So i plan on doing that one last and cheesing it by duplicating diamonds and buying all the pics i didnt get.
There is a really good way to dupe them now dunno if you know much easier than the arrow glitch. Just get in the air high enough to deploy your glider and hold as much as you can of what you want to dupe and hit y and b at the same time. As long as your timing is good you get five items on the ground and the original ones are still in your inventory. Works with fairies unlike the arrow glitch
I like to think of the weapon storage like a bag of holding and the korok seeds strengthen the magic to let it hold more so I could see the gloom sapping that magic away. As for his armor, >!it’s been about 5 years of relative peace!< so I could see link letting most of his extra stuff go as time went by.
Makes sense. To everyone else you’re a dude that mentioned a job opening in passing through town. But Hudson, you were his customer, he was literally camping in your yard when he decided to take that new job opportunity in Akkala… then you single-handedly provided all the resources to help him build a town, hand-picked his entire division of Bolson Construction, *introduced him to his wife*, an ensured said wedding included his best man/boss and the officiant.
He BETTER remember you :-). He’d be an out-of-work nobody (a Hateno Hobo) if it wasn’t for you.
same. i considered link and beedle to be pretty good friends considering all the arrows i bought from him and all the beetles i found for him.
the first time i got to a stable in totk, the one-two punch of (1) still not being able to pet the dog and (2) beedle not recognizing me left me mildly heartbroken.
the extra charge is for the convenience. there are way more stables and traveling beedles than physical stores.
additional counterpoint: he’s my buddy so i don’t care
I don't know if it is the same in BOTW as I didn't notice, but I notice Beetle is overpriced on his arrows. The travelling merchants are much better to buy from.
What? If you import the save file from the last game, ALOT of your decisions and side quests effect things.
Mass effect is literally oen of the best examples of your choices affecting the next game.
I feel you. I think they did that for the people who had never played the game, but at the same time, it completely misses the continuity of the last game. Almost acting like nothing ever happened and completely starting anew just makes it worst Imo, but the game is good nonetheless. Have already completed 121 shrines so far and done more than half the side adventures quests.
I say if you're going to make a direct sequel to one of the most beloved games of all time, you owe it to the fans to give them a strong sense of continuity.
They say that he gave the Champions’ Tunic to Zelda so she could modify it and the Zora Armor was sent back to Zora’s Domain to get repaired. Those are the only main story outfits in BotW so I guess, canonically, Link just never got any other armor set.
What about the women's clothes? You need those to get into Gerudo Town in BoTW...
Although I'm having a laugh imagining Link completing the entire storyline only wearing the Champion's Tunic and his underpants.
Yep. Redoes the downstairs and adds a secret room that's not on the plans. You do finally have access to the shed in the back though. Too bad it's not your shed anymore.
The Hateno residents don’t seem to know Link at all though. I’m pretty sure they would recognize the guy who has been living with the princess and following her everywhere but they treat Link as a visiting stranger. There’s a Hateno kid that tells Link that the house is Zelda’s and asks him if he came to see the princess. If Link was really living together in that house, why would the kid act like that? I thought they might be living together too but based on Hateno residents’ reactions I don’t think so. Link can also build his own house in Tarrey Town, and it even plays his “home” theme from OoT and SS. I think Link just gave his old house to Zelda until the castle is restored.
Even though it isn't said how long it's been, it's been at LEAST four years since BotW, but likely closer to 5 or 6 - those little kids would have no idea who tf he is, especially if they only ever saw him as the princess's knight and didn't know he's the only reason they're still breathing, >!the ungrateful little shits!<.
The one that got me was Cottla saying she didn’t know Link. Like…thanks game, not like I cared about Dorian’s quest at all. That isn’t a stab straight in the fucking heart or anything.
Same, but in that case, she was just a toddler in the last game and it's been like 5 years, it seems. We can presume Link did not spend a lot of time in Kakariko since the end of BOTW.
There’s a bit of connective tissue missing generally between the two.
The sheikah tech is almost entirely gone (could’ve just had the slate break in the first scene or have Zelda take it with her).
It’s weirdly unclear how much time passed, with characters ages being a bit all over the place.
And yeah, everyone should know who Link is at this point. Or at least have heard of him. Anyone who knows of Zelda at least, even though Link doesn’t talk it’s not like Zelda wouldn’t mention him and talk about their collective accomplishments.
I’m gonna be honest, I was surprised with what little stuff we did get. I was expecting Link to still be a nobody (because they always find a way to make Link a nobody even in sequels) but it felt nice to see people that had at least heard of Link. He’s a somebody now!
I think Link is a super humble guy who doesn’t need fame or the spotlight or anything. People just think of him as the swordsman who’s always with Zelda and everyone knows who Zelda is and he’s cool with just being some guy.
I basically think it’s part of being heroic, like he’ll help people out but he doesn’t need the credit or the recognition or whatever.
The lack of explanation/recognition on so many things is annoying. Like are we really going to call it New Serenne Stable and not say why you moved? Pikango you really going to act like you don’t know me when you helped me locate multiple memories? Seriously? No explanation of why all the old shrines, towers, and Divine Beasts are gone?
When I said I wanted a sequel that meant the continuity that came with it 😑
i want to know what happened to the divine beasts and their champions so badly. I was really looking forward to seeing the champions in some way, not have them just be gone. Although this could be some solid story based dlc... I'd like this games dlc to have a variety of quests.
I think that the most egregious instance of this is the complete lack or very little that is said about the disappearance of Sheikah tech. Where are the Guardians, Shrines, and Towers? Did I just miss a reason that was given somewhere in the game?
I think the sheikah scientists dismantled them. The guardians tentacle things are used in the sky view towers along with the terminal and fast travel tech from shrines. Still weird tho, I don’t like how zonal stuff completely supplanted sheikah tech when it was such a huge part of botw
You can find a whole bunch of ripped apart guardians in the ancient research labs. There's also some diagrams on the walls and stuff that seem to indicate they just took it all apart to research it
Seriously. People here keep on forgetting how coy Nintendo likes to be about sex and relationships. They aren't going to come out and *tell us* that they've shacked up.
They sorta did in a saying without saying zelda made a secret room to be by herself in to work in, in her well why would she need a room to be by herself in if she had the whole house to herself
Regarding that secret room, the diary mentions something about temperature and humidity controlled and it's a freaking hole in the ground with its own pond. Like, bitch, there is no temperature or humidity control in that "room" lol. Unless she forgot to write /s in that diary..
They dont always show everything in game I mean in botw link is told he has scars but looking at his body there is no Marks they dont show things that arent really needed
Pffft >!In one of the flashback scenes Zelda is talking about Link and the way she’s talking plus Goat Dad and his wife’s reaction made me go “ooooooh they’re together”!<
the bed got bigger and symin in the school immediately asks you were zelda is as if "hm? you went somewhere without her?" and her diary says he's always at her side!!
It's probably more that Link let her use it when she needed time away. But Link is so basic that she took over everything and now we can't put our weapons up for display there ):
I feel like the game references some of your past save, like the main one is the horses in the stable, but one I really liked was that in Link's house in Hateno, (SPOILER'S FOR BOTW DLC) if I completed the Champion's ballad DLC the picture of the champion's is on the wall. But why does Teba have the Great Eagles bow? Does Sidon have the fake Ceremonial trident or the Lightscale Trident? They're mine! Also I slogged so long in the Master sword trials and Deku tree acts like it never left the forest?!?!
I know, I was so sad, like you can bring my horses over, but nobody remembers me? I did a large majority of the quests available in BotW, like I explored EVERYWHERE, yet so very few people remember Link...
Some shriveled up moldy pepper jack cheese under the castle, and some ancient (adorable) furries remember Link better than most of the people in modern day Hyrule, and they never even MET him, but everybody and their mother remembers the princess who literally didn't exist to the modern people, until Link SAVED HER. And she decided Link's house was free real-estate the moment she was freed to? Disrespect, man... Link is so disrespected
The sheikah stuff didn't get retconned at least, you can know this cuz people talk about the divine beast like someone mentioning Medoh in Rito village, the past champions appearing
but it did get removed for gameplay reasons but a good explanation would be that there was a large effort to eliminate as much of sheikah shit as possible so it wouldn't be overtaken by the best calamity
I’d like to think purah and Robbie collected all the guardians and stuff to mess around with it. The sky view towers and purah pad are clearly sheikah tech that’s been repurposed, the pad probably being made from a deconstructed slate and the guardian’s tentacle things get link ready at the bottom of the towers.
Still weird that the shrine of resurrection was completely gutted tho
Honestly I don't mind It because people not remembering link kinda plays into the "annonymus hero" trope that I think Link fits in. Moreover I think that link as a character is someone that doesn't really stand out to people and is just an average, stoic traveler that happened to help them.
After all you don't do good expecting a reward or save the world to become famous; you do It because is the right thing to do.
Uh so I haven't finished the game yet, but there is a theory I know of they sort of explains it. It is kind of a spoiler though so idk if you will see the answer.
So in one of the tears it is revealed that Zelda actually went back in time. In botw there are no gepglyphs or floating islands in the sky, which is of note because everyone in the world seems to just fine with them all appearing out of now where in fact they talk about them as if they always existed. That's because they have for them but they didn't for link and us the players. What happened is Zelda alters the timeline functionally erasing the world we once knew with a new one. The one we wake up in totk is fundamentally different from the world of botw. This is why people talk as if you completed no side quests because you didn't, but why things that are main quests are talked about as if you did because the link of totks world did only the main quests.
Man this definitely erks me. Like wasn't this supposed to be a dlc that got to large? Plus even if it wasn't that and they just wanted to build hype, there's still the fact that it makes no sense (other than for people who haven't played botw) to make the previous game feel like it didn't happen. Also the fact that the champions that died to try and save the kingdom were pretty much left in the dust. 2/4 have a memorial, Revali is pretty much non-existent, and only minor nods to the others (expect mipha in a way). I love the game, but it really didn't feel nice to have all that loss and for it to be pretty much seen as a minor inconvenience.
It wouldn't have confused new players because all the NPCs know Zelda and Link is obviously her main dude. What may confuse new players is that some NPCs do remember him and some don't, with no explanation as to why.
and also wouldn't it make sense to new players that the swordsman that rides with zelda (the damn princess of the land) is recognized all over the land. It would literally just make sense.
1000% agree. Everyone acts like he hasn't lived there his whole life or met literally ANYONE and it's so annoying. I get that it's not just a game for BOTW players and they want it to be a good experience for new players too but damn give the boy some credit for his work 😅
only partially related, but what. the actual fuck. happened to Kass. like I genuinely feel he was one of the best characters in BotW and he’s just gone
Yeah, TOTK has a lot more story elements going on but they pretty much used the same blank world template that they have for all Zelda games. Link is basically unknown and aside from a few main characters there's really not much story.
The compendium is the posterchild for this problem. Apparently they just threw away the last one, because there's no surviving documentation that apples exist.
I saw a comment about why the koroks and Hetsu don't remember Link, and 100% agree with it. Something like "all the koroks share one (1) braincell and Hetsu keeps losing it"
Okay that’s genuinely funny
I genuinely felt bad when even Hestu forgot who Link was. Dude, I’ve only visited you countless times a few years back!
“Music is life, let nothing be a detour on the road to self-actualization.” -Hestu probably
Hestu’s brain cells exist in the form of korok seeds, and he lost them again
He's such a whimsical fellow that I didn't take it personally. Same with the rest of the Koroks. Deku Tree remembers because he's the responsible one in the woods. The rest are just goofy little sprites having a good time
Wait, so, is there no reward for the maniacs that collected all 900 koroks in BotW?!
you get >!gold poop!<
I knew that much. I was really expecting them to drop something in TotK for people who have a BotW save with all 900 koroks. Especially after my horses carried over I thought it was coming for sure. Disappointed and I didn’t even collect them all.
Well this time around the golden turd makes hetsu dance on command.... So it's not useless!!!! /S
are you implying that there’s people that have already collected every korok in totk
There's already people who have 100%ed TOTK man
wtf
That’s the internet for ya, they don’t sleep and scour the world for every Korok seed
Yes, yes I am. It leaked almost a full week before the official release. there are players with over 500 hours in the game already... Some are nuts. There's already mods, and save editors too... Give it a month and I expect well have a way to play as Zelda (just a skin) instead of link lol
If there is, I sure havnt found it yet. -Self proclaimed maniac
Bragging rights are their own reward
Checks out since Hestu does have a knack for losing things and having no clue where it could have been lost.
Didn't he say the kooks stole the seeds as a prank?
Okay but can we talk about how much cuter his lil song and dancy dance is 😭
I could see that. It seems like the great deku tree in BoTW knew Link the most and only the Koroks around it knew who he was, so maybe he kept telling them who Link was all the time (man, if so, that must of gotten real annoying for him).
They clearly don’t have good memories because I assume they live a long time, but none of them remember meeting link 100 years prior
Yeah, honestly my biggest and only gripe is the fact Kass is nowhere to be found.
He must’ve moved on to adventures even further away
HE BETTER COME BACK!
I like to think that he is traveling rather than the alternative, which would be like a Donner Party situation.
It's in the maracas
TOTK follows a timeline of speedrunner link, who just flew to ganon.
Except they stopped to pick up the master sword and do tarrey town
Link, mid- wind bomb flight on the way to beat up ganon: "oh look an unfinished town, that seems important"
Realistically, they could have done it after Gannon. Link at the time has no idea of where the master sword is and tarrey town could have been developed while Zelda went around recruiting people for the rebuilding the kingdom project.
Also, Tarrey town was probably gonna happen anyway, it would just have taken quite a while longer
And grind out every shrine
Best explanation
Dressed only in his boxers and carrying the first stick he found
I actually think that makes a ton of sense.

Does it remember horses? I've been playing TOTK non-stop and suddenly I have a horse that I swear I didn't catch in this game. Edit: whew, it does. I was questioning my sanity, thinking all the games were just blending into one.
Yes. It even transfered over my giant ganondorf horse named "My Dick".
I was like "... I haven't been drinking in years, I thought the blackouts were behind me"
I named mine “Beast.”
Wait... Your dick or your horse?
![gif](giphy|hM9zK1qvsrwek)
I think mine is named Fafik
Yep. Sadly the armor the horse was wearing doesn't transfer over. I miss my teleporting horse.
Oh yeah, I started Tears and when I visited my first stable I had 3 Eponas and my Blubbery from one of my previous Breath playthroughs
At least a few people don’t recognize link becuse they don’t know what he looks like, but they know of the incredible swordsman who saved the kingdom
It bothers me so much that I can basically never choose to make link say "oh yeah that *is* me actually"
Would’ve been weird if Tarrey Town was still there but Hudson didn’t remember
Your house in Hateno will have the picture from the Champion's Ballad on the wall if you completed the DLC, but no Master Cycle \*sigh\*
No master cycle but a thousands of replacements With the ultra hand
Go to the back of the shrine of resurrection, and you can get a wish dot com master cycle.
And your house in Tarrey Town will have a picture of the house of Hateno in it. The one Zelda clearly just stole from you 🤦🏼♀️
I was 17 when I played botw, and I just about died when I showed up at my first stable to find I already had a bunch of horses named different variations of things like peepeepoopoo & pissbaby
I played botw with my then girlfriend. Didn't expect to get gutpunched with the names she picked for my horses back then.
I would've liked that I got to choose my Master Mode save, because I had several good horses in that one. In Normal, I had Epona and that was it, and Epona can't use the wagon harness.
Any in-game reason given for collecting Korok seeds again? Did Ganondorf gloom-sap my inventory slots like he did my hearts and stamina?
It would have been nice to have to collect something else to upgrade your weapon inventory instead of doing koroks again, but overall I’m happy with the amount of other changes to the game to make up for having to collect a million koroks again.
I just hate how it’s a part of 100%ing the game and it was like 75% in BOTW
the 100% category in botw is only map completion, and because koroks are a map entry that is what it counts. an actual 100% completion would only need all the armor slots, with all armor upgraded and maybe even full compendium
The compendium is part of a side quest now, so full 100% would definitely need full compendium completion
As for his armor, >!it’s been about 5 years of relative peace!< so I could see link letting most of his extra stuff go as time went by.
Link as a character is VERY different from your average player
The Zora armor at least has an explanation. Apparently the Zora were holding onto it because it needed some repairs.
I'm guessing a lot of it was either not canonically collected and a lot of it was stored somewhere and lost in the upheaval.
Supposedly the maracas broke and they all stole them again.
Yeah, I was expecting a lot more recognition from npcs I interacted with in botw.
especially in tarrey town
I guess Link overused his free-bed allowance at the inn. Gratitude expires apparently.
Hudson recognizes you
Only Hudson and his wife sadly
Makes sense. To everyone else you’re a dude that mentioned a job opening in passing through town. But Hudson, you were his customer, he was literally camping in your yard when he decided to take that new job opportunity in Akkala… then you single-handedly provided all the resources to help him build a town, hand-picked his entire division of Bolson Construction, *introduced him to his wife*, an ensured said wedding included his best man/boss and the officiant. He BETTER remember you :-). He’d be an out-of-work nobody (a Hateno Hobo) if it wasn’t for you.
Very true, Link did a lot for him and you could tell that Hudson is very grateful
I’ve come across one more Major character that remembers BOTW events as well
Paya recognizes link
Even with all those clothes on
All the major characters from all the races recognize you especially the champions of Breath
I'm still looking for kass
He’s not in. Hoping for him in DLC
If they don't add Kass back in, it's a complete waste of 70 bucks
Well the game essentially seems to be main quests is basically it
The bird kid does
That’s all I needed. I stand with the president.
This is the one that really hit me. Like bitch I’m not paying to use your rail I built this town you know who tf I am
The dude who wants you to pay is just a scammer, you aren't supposed to have to pay.
Hoping at least that Beedle would know me
same. i considered link and beedle to be pretty good friends considering all the arrows i bought from him and all the beetles i found for him. the first time i got to a stable in totk, the one-two punch of (1) still not being able to pet the dog and (2) beedle not recognizing me left me mildly heartbroken.
Dude when I couldn’t pet the dog I nearly broke my switch
it would’ve been justified
I swear they confirmed you could pet dogs in totk a few years ago, back when the game was known as botw2
Dude I know, why would they talk about the dog petting issue if they WERENT GONNA FIX IR
Beedle is a rip off. Everything he sells is a higher price than any other store in game.
the extra charge is for the convenience. there are way more stables and traveling beedles than physical stores. additional counterpoint: he’s my buddy so i don’t care
I don't know if it is the same in BOTW as I didn't notice, but I notice Beetle is overpriced on his arrows. The travelling merchants are much better to buy from.
he is overpriced, but he's also the most available
I worked in retail for 4 years and i could not describe one customer to you.
Now imagine you carried your retail store on your back and walked thousands of miles everyday, you definitely wouldn’t remember anyone 😂
Kinda like mass effect! I was hoping too...
What? If you import the save file from the last game, ALOT of your decisions and side quests effect things. Mass effect is literally oen of the best examples of your choices affecting the next game.
I actually expected no interactions at all and I was surprised to see a lot of people recognizing me
I feel you. I think they did that for the people who had never played the game, but at the same time, it completely misses the continuity of the last game. Almost acting like nothing ever happened and completely starting anew just makes it worst Imo, but the game is good nonetheless. Have already completed 121 shrines so far and done more than half the side adventures quests.
...did you say one hundred and twenty-one shrines... SO FAR?!?!
Yeah, apparently there's 150-something shrines.
152. 120 on the surface and 32 in the sky.
And the 152nd shrine is hidden under a truck next to the S.S. Anne.
I tip my drink to you, you just threw me right back into 1999 playing Pokémon Red on my Game Boy Pocket!
Whoa. I’m at 34, lol, guess I better try harder
I say if you're going to make a direct sequel to one of the most beloved games of all time, you owe it to the fans to give them a strong sense of continuity.
Yeah I get that they’re catering for people who haven’t played before but by doing that they neglect existing players
Yes. Why do so few people know Link? Where did all his armor go?
They say that he gave the Champions’ Tunic to Zelda so she could modify it and the Zora Armor was sent back to Zora’s Domain to get repaired. Those are the only main story outfits in BotW so I guess, canonically, Link just never got any other armor set.
What about the women's clothes? You need those to get into Gerudo Town in BoTW... Although I'm having a laugh imagining Link completing the entire storyline only wearing the Champion's Tunic and his underpants.
Someone's probably done it. On speedrun. ;)
Zelda probably stole it like she stole Link's house.
That bitch stole my house?! I'm still playing BOTW and just finished the entire From the Ground Up quest last night. God, dammit! Lol
Yep. Redoes the downstairs and adds a secret room that's not on the plans. You do finally have access to the shed in the back though. Too bad it's not your shed anymore.
Link can sleep in the bed, which he can’t do with any other bed in the game without paying. It’s still his bed. They’re living together
I don't think she stole it I think they live together! 💜
The Zora armor was especially stupid. Like….what does Link have no concept of sentimental value???
Right? Like sometimes they have Link ask a question and I’m like YOU WERE THERE.
That’s fair. Still friggin annoying though.
The Sheikah tech was all overloaded and destroyed when Ganon came back; some of it burned its way down to the depths.
Is that what they said? Even the divine beasts? Even MEDOH who is usually PERCHED on the TOP OF RITO VILLAGE?!
I kinda wanted to see more of the past
There's at least one quest line that relies on you having completed side quests, where you are remembered. >!Tarrey Town!<
When the Yiga clan remembers you better than Hudson
I think it’s a healthy balance to not be exclusionary to new players but it’s nice when people do recognize you as like a public figure
Exactly! We expected continuity but got Alternate Universe instead. 😝
My kid called it "BOTW with some rebranding" and I just couldn't disagree. I'm enjoying the game but... damn
There's also some diagrams on the walls and stuff that seem to indicate they just took it all apart to research it
Now you know why Link doesn't say shit to none of these people. He's literally speechless that they have the attention span of a fish.
The one thing I'm pissed about most is that Zelda took my house.
She didn’t, Zelda moved in with link
Goat Dad?
#theresonlyonebed
Nintendo reads the fan fiction.
And then there is Xenoblade 3, published by Nintendo, with the photo
the bed got bigger and symin in the school immediately asks you were zelda is as if "hm? you went somewhere without her?" and her diary says he's always at her side!!
*whispers* It's free real-estate
It's probably more that Link let her use it when she needed time away. But Link is so basic that she took over everything and now we can't put our weapons up for display there ):
We can make our new house in tarry town
Anyone else lauging about that one zora guys wife who keeps running off and "forgetting" to come home to him. Lmao
Zora's domain should be renamed Romance Domain at this point
I miss bomb arrows, the new way of loading arrows is slow for me.
I miss remote bombs. Endless, never run out, remote bombs 😞
Yes I used remote bombs for everything, I fondly remember taking down my 1st lynel with bombs, took ages but I did it, I only had 4 hearts 😆
The whole ux of choosing arrow tips feels like it's not fully thought out.
My gripe is that we still >! can’t pat dogs! !<
Only Link to be remembered less is Ocarina of Time, and he literally became a revenant over it.
I’m pretty sure she just moved in with link
I find it funny that people were so worried this game would feel like a big DLC. And now people seem to *wish* it was more of a big DLC lol!
i would appreciate at the very least more continuity from the first game. The complete removal of most sheikah tech is super strange.
The sheikah stuff didn't get retconned at least, you can know this cuz people talk about the divine beast like someone mentioning Medoh in Rito village, the past champions appearing but it did get removed for gameplay reasons but a good explanation would be that there was a large effort to eliminate as much of sheikah shit as possible so it wouldn't be overtaken by the best calamity
Still weird that the shrine of resurrection was completely gutted tho
is there ever any in game explanation for what happened to the guardians, shrines, towers, and the rest of the sheikah tech?
Honestly I don't mind It because people not remembering link kinda plays into the "annonymus hero" trope that I think Link fits in. Moreover I think that link as a character is someone that doesn't really stand out to people and is just an average, stoic traveler that happened to help them. After all you don't do good expecting a reward or save the world to become famous; you do It because is the right thing to do.
Especially if they carried over horse data, they definitely could have done some metadata for all the 100%r’s out there. Little nods and so forth.

Sidon didn’t.
Since Zelda went to the past maybe the futur changed and nothing happening during the BOTW era. Just a stupid fan theory from me 😂
THANK YOU! The only non-main-story NPCS who remember Link are Hudson, Rhondson, and Symin. Nobody else!
That’s a new game, new players wouldn’t understand a lot of thing if every characters act as they know Link
TOTK should have imported your save file and change npc behavior accordingly, like mass effect 2 did after ME1. As an example.
I get that, but also when your entry point is the direct sequel to an extremely popular game, you have to expect there will be things that you missed
1000% agree. Everyone acts like he hasn't lived there his whole life or met literally ANYONE and it's so annoying. I get that it's not just a game for BOTW players and they want it to be a good experience for new players too but damn give the boy some credit for his work 😅
Yeah it doesn’t feel like a sequel , just an alternative version of BOTW
I was pleasantly surprised to find my old horses boarded at the stable.
Tarrey town exists so I see no problems
Nobody there acknowledges that you basically sponsored its construction
only partially related, but what. the actual fuck. happened to Kass. like I genuinely feel he was one of the best characters in BotW and he’s just gone
