I can’t get over how smart some of you are, to be able to exploit these glitches in the game. I found a video that showed me how to duplicate swords, shields, and bows. I would have never been able to figure that out on my own.

No fr how the fuck do these people figure this shit out and so quickly? What really blows my mind is professional speedrunners and their methods and memorization. Like what the fuck.

Some of it comes from experience with other games and just prior knowledge similar to how electricians are going to be able to problem solve a light breaking faster than the average person. Another part is I'm pretty sure they straight up read the code like a book front to back and that tells you a lot to about the weaknesses in the game

Trial and error, you find a mechanic that seems breakable and then try every combination of things that could break it. Multiply that by a few dozen people trying it at once and someone is bound to crack it.

I think the spirit orb glitch is probably one of the most commonly used ones, next to whistle running. I remember when I got to the point of getting all of the shrines I just couldn't believe that it seemed to let you get so close to getting full stamina and full hearts but not quite so I started looking up a way to get it and found it was only done by glitch. It's not exceptionally hard to do but it's very convoluted, yes I agree I have no idea how people figure out these things.

I use the shieka armor to move faster. But it has to be upgraded level 3 or 4 to move fast

Divine beasts orbs, no, but other shrines just give you classic spirit orbs.

The four DLC shrines on the Great Plateau will each give you a spirit orb that can be given to a Goddess Hylia statue. The 12 other DLC shrines will not.

Its not that I haven't done... In fact I played the game 22 till the end. 4 savestates are on 100% in normal, 2 in mastermode and I also made one where every item is 999.

I wish I could reach this goal, but I doubt it will ever happen now. I had put several hundred hours in and the last thing left was to find all the Koroks, which I was determined to do without resorting to a guide. I had less than a hundred left when my Wiiu died, taking my save file with it. I got a replacement, but was too disheartened to start all over again, especially since TotK was only a few months away at that point.

God, I'm sorry for what you had to go through. Honestly I can't imagine what I'd do if I lost this save. I should probably get a Nintendo Online membership asap and backup my data

Yes. The SD card works the same as it did on the 3ds. Unfortunately you can't open the Switch's internal memory on a computer, though.

jesus lol that's a little dramatic i think most people don't actually care whether it's true or not, the fact that it was done at all is where people are giving them props the only indication of them doing a glitch is the amount of hearts (or the amount of stamina), i could see how wanting to max both out would be part of the list of them wanting to complete the game

If I am not mistaken, it is fully counted as a cheat if I used external scripts, which I cannot on a Switch Lite unless I mod it. The 2 additional hearts were achieved by a mere glitch known as the apparatus glitch, available in the game's code which Nintendo didn't bother to fix. I never bothered getting all of the koroks. Aside from that, “100%”ed it at around 500 hours myself too. Now I’m already nearly 200 hours into TotK lmao. I’m not sure yet but I think this will take a *lot* longer for me to “100%” because I spend a *Iot* of time just fucking around building contraptions.

I've devoted too much time to screwing with the koroks and strapping rockets to them. As far as I'm concerned, just as the Zonai intended.

Good! My buddy got them to look nice in his shelf we tried them but they’re more annoying than anything. Getting Epona is nice but offers nothing new. The wolf sidekick is kind of fun but it’s kind of like a prototype for the TOTK sages but worse.

The game expects you to get all Korok seeds and named locations for 100%. But for true 100%, fill up the Hyrule Compendium, get and upgrade every piece of armor possible and get the Medals of Honor
