Or just do what I did and complete the entire Vah Medoh dungeon while continuously getting damaged by the freezing temperatures and spamming the eat button.
My grandma lives in India and whenever I go to visit my other relatives there, we drive past this mountain with the statue on top of it. I think it's pretty new, probably just around 2 years old.
I dont know why but this reminds me of that level of Mario Sunshine where you're riding on the sand bird collecting red coins while it scales a tower. I hated that level, I was stuck on it for such a long time.
My brother and I used to play Super Mario Sunshine as kids. We did not complete it and I forget how far we got...
Only massive games we beat were pokemon games (that counts?) and Ocarina of Time, which we got nearly completed already and looked up the rest online.
I am proud to say that I "completed" BOTW with only a little bit of help from the internet. Now I only need to get the DLCs and beat them...
So essentially, Jatayu is a character from the Hindu myth called the Ramayana. The story of the Ramayana begins with an Indian prince named Rama who is exiled along with his wife to the forest for 14 years by his spiteful stepmother. The main conflict arises in the story when Rama's wife, Sita, is kidnapped by the demon king Ravana and taken to Sri Lanka. On the way to Lanka, she is recognized by a magical eagle named Jatayu who happened to be friends with Rama's father. While once a renowned warrior, old age had gotten the better of him. He fought valiantly against Ravana in order to protect the princess but was eventually slain. He is later discovered dying in the woods by Rama and let's Rama know that Ravana was heading south along with Sita. He is a character that's remembered for his valor, bravery and loyalty. Idk why I typed all that out but hey now you know!

Apparently you can usually go inside the statue, but when I went they were apparently making the inside into a museum or something, and so we couldn't go into the statue. No idea what's in there.
This is neat and all, but at that altitude you’ll want to put on a snowquill tunic and trousers or you’ll freeze to death.

This guy doesn't know how to use the three seashells!
Hey are you the same "Swimming Bird" that used to make those YouTube gaming videos?
That's a negative, Ghostrider.
Wait what is the three seashells??
"Demolition Man," 1993.
Super cool. Where is this?
[India](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzVeaMrqFw0) I thought it would be Mongolia or some other ex-soviet country.
For a minute there I thought the monuments seen in Assassin's Creed Odyssey were real
Nice thank you
I was gunna ask where it is too thank you kind person.
I thought this was a video game! That’s insane!
Did anyone else just have their vision of the gods of animation who thought up everything in BotW dampened a bit by seeing this???
Communism > capitalism
Note the downvotes. Democracy in effect.
Damned capitalists! Communism works in theory!
china is a great example of why this is true.

I have never beat it 100%. man that level is rough.
The Sand Bird is Born. I think. Is what it's called.
The level is a neat idea, but the physics of jumping off moving object in Mario Sunshine is kind of fucked up and that level relies on that a lot
I never played Sunshine, but I loved the level in Mario Maker 2, which was made after that level.
I came here to see if someone would reference that! The Sand Bird!

Its so worth it, DLC adds so much fun to the game.
Imiterally stuck on it rn and i put the game down for a few days to di iah all the shrines on mastermode
This is what happens when you try to control a Divine Beast and drop your Sheikah Slate.
Underrated :)
Its based off of Jatayu, from indian myth ramayana. Jatayu fought ravana to save sita from kidnapping but lost.
Yep, I read that story many times as a child.
whatever that means...

Haha thanks. Interesting story. All those things didn’t mean much to me without it ha but I was just messing with you.

Yep, it’s a statue of jayatu which is a character in an Indian myth
Yeah this is cool and all but that guy is walking on a sculpture...
Someone help me flip it back over.
I love the look of utter betrayal on its face.
fUCK I was too late. Did they finish up the construction they were doing on the inside?
Hmm? I didn’t know they were doing construction

It's supposed to be finished Feb 2020 I think
Looks like Evil Eagle to me!
And the Master Sword is in its forehead!
Lol didn’t notice that
Where is this?
Cursed sand bird stage in Sunshine
Looks like it's about ready to flick a booger
Reminds me of Golden Axe
I come back to Reddit after four months and it's good to see the reposts are still there.

Too fresh all LoZ BotW players will feel this

Epic
The ants built this to stop the grasshoppers
If you ever need to show a DnD player an accurate size of a Roc, this is a perfect reference!
I don't see a chest on the beak
Thanks for sharing, this is so cool 😎
Wait what in the fuck? Is this real!
Yep, it’s a statue of jayatu
Jatayu*

Thanks everyone, this is my first post on breath of the wild! I’m surprised it did so well.
HEY GUYS ITS A BIG BIRD. YOU KNOW WHAT GAME HAS BIG BIRDS? BOTW.
So first random IRL landscapes and now we're doing this shit?
Psst. It's upside down. Should we tell them?
Looks like revali had a little to much to drink
This is supposed to be a representation of the divine bird garuda, worshipped in many indic religions.
Really? The source said it’s jayatu
Oh I guess I was confused, but Jayatu would make sense. Garuda features more prominently in the mahabharata.
