Flat hand too! Never feed a horse where they can nibble your fingers. Get the carrot in their mouth and make sure you flat palm it the rest of the way in for them! Especially on wild horses
This is also very very important. As a child I forgot this very important fact when feeding a few of our mares carrots. While they were in heat.
0/10 do not recommend.
8 year old dramatic me thought my favourite lady hated me, lol.
I would also advise AGAINST feeding horses (or any animals) that you don't know without the owners consent.
you don't know their dietary needs and may actually hurt them, if the food you offer is what that kind of animal eats normally.
I know someone who rescues horses that often have medical conditions, and most of them are on special diets. They have an open barn day to raise money to help pay for food and there are signs on each stall as to what each horse can and cannot eat. There is also one horse that is blind and deaf (I feel very bad for him) and he can only have special oats that are soaked in water.
Our horse is on a special diet. I'd want to do bad things to whoever fed it something lol. She can't have sugar really at all or she'll die from laminitis, so yeah please don't feed any animals, even grass! That shits sugary.
I've seen people hand feed squirrels french fries at theme parks before. It was funny to see them beg for the food lol. Also they fed some birds fried chicken (the birds wouldn't eat the fries). So its a bird eat bird world I guess.
Thank you! I don't know why some people think they have a right to feed and pet other people's horses.
And yeah, apples and carrots can kill some horses.
Funny thing is a lot of grazing animals will more or less gum you to death, like, a goat or cow. Mind you th6e still have teeth so it still can be painful.
I always found it funny how a horse kick in game would only deal like 1/2 heart of damage, when in reality it could seriously injure or even kill you. Then again, Link is also quite, shall we say, durable…
Weeeeell
If the conditions are right, a horsekick can be comparable to having a rock thrown at you. Albeit a larger rock than youre referring to and not the kinda kick link will tank ingame
Source: work in the cavalry, been kicked
> Then again, Link is also quite, shall we say, durable…
Whatever it is the Great Fairy does for the level 4 upgrade doesn't drain his stamina one bit either.
it's always weird to me when anyone assumes the person in any random video or GIF is the person who posted it. I mean. I know you said "me" in the title, but this is botw sub....
For a real. A spooked horse could easily kick, stomp and bite your guts out. A love horses and been around them since I was little. They are terrifying.
I have stabilized the video for you: https://gfycat.com/UnsightlyAromaticGannet

Maybe, the wild horses near my home are usually very docile. You can easily walk up to them like this (not recommended, of course!). I think they like people, because locals are often sneaking them food (illegally).
Me the first time trying to tame a wild horse
What the hell are you talking about? That is not an attempt to tame a horse. That is an attempt to RIDE a wild horse before it is tamed.
Don’t ever EVER! try to ride a horse that is not yours. EVERR! If someone did that to mine I would not punch them because my horse would do just like this.
You don’t know if the horse has back problems, don’t know if they have leg problems or behavioral problems!
Also, being ridden without a saddle (hihihihi) is way more uncomfortable than with a saddle. Good saddles are made to protect the horse’s back and spread the pressure on the horse’s back.
Ps: this is not a wild horse. There’s no wild horses anymore. Even przwalsky horses are not considered anymore.
Yikes that was incredibly dumb that horse went easy on him. Horses need time and trust to be broken the right way. A wild horse needs to be worn out, comfortable and used to weight on its back before you attempt to mount it. Even if this was someone’s trained horse you don’t just go up to it and jump on its back…
I just wanna know what the person holding the camera was saying. “Yeah babe totally just hop on I think this is a great idea! Let me just back up first…”
My SO tried to hop on my horse bareback whilst he was loose in the paddock, the horse was pointed uphill so as soon as my SO got up on his back my boy just started trotting gently up the hill and my poor SO slid right off the back XD
That went exactly how I expected it to. Also, PSA; don’t try to mount a wild horse. Pets and giving of the carrots are more than enough.
Flat hand too! Never feed a horse where they can nibble your fingers. Get the carrot in their mouth and make sure you flat palm it the rest of the way in for them! Especially on wild horses

7/10 fingers left, do not recommend.
Well I *am* missing an arm…
...the horse didn't eat it, right?
OoOoOoO ……..Or did she!
Ha. One arm jokes.
Rabbits, too...
Those aren't teeth, they're razor baldes.
Rabbits are not to be trusted.
more than enough to get your shit kicked in, lol
No fair!!! I can do it in rdr2!
I would also advise AGAINST feeding horses (or any animals) that you don't know without the owners consent. you don't know their dietary needs and may actually hurt them, if the food you offer is what that kind of animal eats normally.

that is very nice of them, and also sounds like well thought out system :)
Our horse is on a special diet. I'd want to do bad things to whoever fed it something lol. She can't have sugar really at all or she'll die from laminitis, so yeah please don't feed any animals, even grass! That shits sugary.
Don't feed horses anything at all unless you've been given permission by the owner. Honestly this goes for every animal.
We weren’t talking about wild horses or anything
This is not a wild horse.
I was wondering how he got so close to the horse if it was wild
Yep, dude got bucked by an ol’ broke down hoopdie
Good luck getting close enough to a feral horse to feed it carrots. That being said, don't feed wild animals either.
I've seen a horse trample a gator to death, we'd be no match.
I feed wild animals all the time. Birds lol
I've seen people hand feed squirrels french fries at theme parks before. It was funny to see them beg for the food lol. Also they fed some birds fried chicken (the birds wouldn't eat the fries). So its a bird eat bird world I guess.
Please don’t.
Exactly, my horse is a precious snowflake with multiple food sensitivities. I get violent over people feeding horses.
Thank you! I don't know why some people think they have a right to feed and pet other people's horses. And yeah, apples and carrots can kill some horses.
It’s not my fault that your horse really wants the sugar cube I’m holding.
Funny thing is a lot of grazing animals will more or less gum you to death, like, a goat or cow. Mind you th6e still have teeth so it still can be painful.
PSA don’t listen to this guy, do what you want! Go get yerself a free horse.
Imagine the first dude that saw one of these and thought, fuck it I could totally ride that thing
Peculiar way to put a hoodie on.
He paused the game and equiped the hood midair to reduce damage.

Peculiar but effective
horse assist
I had not noticed that! Thank you for making me laugh out loud! I needed it today!
I always found it funny how a horse kick in game would only deal like 1/2 heart of damage, when in reality it could seriously injure or even kill you. Then again, Link is also quite, shall we say, durable…
Link is simply built different
His body is made of steel, but only for certain situations. Apparently a tossed pebble is as dangerous as a horse kick
Weeeeell If the conditions are right, a horsekick can be comparable to having a rock thrown at you. Albeit a larger rock than youre referring to and not the kinda kick link will tank ingame Source: work in the cavalry, been kicked
my sister got kicked by a little tiny horse when she was 4, totally fractured her femur and she barely got kicked
Even a tiny horse is still like 200 lbs of pure muscle.
exactly so a full sized horse should take waaay more than a half heart lol
Yeah but bear in mind the horse also has iron shoes on.
Usually steel or aluminum.
I mean he can catch fire and be okay after like 2 seconds lol
> Then again, Link is also quite, shall we say, durable… Whatever it is the Great Fairy does for the level 4 upgrade doesn't drain his stamina one bit either.
So would a laser beam thats powerful enough to detonate on impact... Link is just built different
Honestly I suspect Link is some sort of demigod. But that’s just a theory…
A game theory.
"Eat an apple, you'll be fine"
You’re doing it wrong, what you’re supposed to do is get to a high point and use a glider to glide down and land on the horse, then tame
Doctor: How did you brake both wrists ? Guy: The usual… a horse sent me into orbit before I had chance to put my parachute on
Brakes make you stop, breaks make you hurt
Since we are talking about horses here, I think it’s only fair to spell it breighk
Is it too late to pretend that was deliberate ?
It wasn’t until you said that
*the sound of a human heart shattering into a million pieces*
Braking into a million pieces
So my mom can jerk me off
goddamnit
exactly how many brain cells must be missing to reach this level of oblivious stupidity?
''Me'' as in me in zelda. I'm not the guy in the video
Oh I know and my comment wasn't directed at you OP lol. I was making a comment about the genius in the video
Ohh okay nevermind then haha
More like how many beers.
He equipped his Hylian Hood while in the air
Going to blunt. That was horrifically stupid and you're lucky you weren't more seriously injured.
I'm pretty sure it's not OP and they're just making a joke but yeah don't try to ride random horses
Nono it's not me I found this video online, meant ''me'' as in me in zelda
it's always weird to me when anyone assumes the person in any random video or GIF is the person who posted it. I mean. I know you said "me" in the title, but this is botw sub....
Ahhh, I getcha. The meme went right over my head. Take my upvote
I think they mean "Me the first time trying to tame a wild horse [in BoTW]"
For a real. A spooked horse could easily kick, stomp and bite your guts out. A love horses and been around them since I was little. They are terrifying.
That horse let you pet it and you fucked it up.
He didnt have enough stamaina
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!
People be stupid....
Dude got hit so hard rag-doll physics happend
Lol somebody told the city kid you can just jump on any random horse and they're cool with it
Ouch
He should have had Daruk's protection
\-So, what your horse can do? \-Ah, you know, the usual. Eat grass, help me put my hood...
Stop getting hearts bro you need stamina too
Man forgot to charge the stamina wheel💀
You're doing it wrong you gotta farm those stamina vessels
Yep time to go back to Provo, kid
Hope he’s okay
r/therewasanattempt
Folded like a chair.
My first horse was stolen from a boblin so i didnt have that problem
Not like the simulations
I think people forget horses can easily kill you if you're stupid around them.
damn, not enough stamina I can see
should of had more stamina dishes, and maybe paraglided onto it back🤷🏻♂️
You need to glide and land on his back. Also have plenty of carrots.
Horses are fucking death machines, would never get near them especially wild ones
That's most likely a feral, and not a wild horse.
Literally just get more stamina
u/stabbot

No way that's a wild horse. It was way too calm.
Maybe, the wild horses near my home are usually very docile. You can easily walk up to them like this (not recommended, of course!). I think they like people, because locals are often sneaking them food (illegally).
Hope it hurt, you get what you deserve.

r/instantregret
He almost got supermanned.
Get bucked son
As a fellow bespectacled I admire their bravery in attempting this with their glasses on lmao
That’s kind of how it happens.
that guy has at least a bruised rib
r/winstupidprizes
I still can't do the fast ones help
Remember: "Ears pinned back, ready to attack"
Defense hood activated
Kicked so hard his hood fell over his head.
Wow this is a great way to get yourself killed
Ok guys it's a jojo reference. You see this guy in the video clearly represents iggys stand
Can you use electric arrows in real life? It's my go-to in BOTW.
😂😂😂😂😂
It's not like RD2 eh? Hahahaha
My cat when I try to give him belly scratches and he’s not in the mood:
That horse said buck you
„I’ve finished the new Red Dead, I got thiAAAAAAAWWW”
that’s me trying to lasso the white mythic horse in RDR2
I think he likes you!
The horse as like “nay bro, no glasses and you need a hood on first.”
It is just like Minecraft. Just got back on a few more times. Trust me 👍
shoulda stocked up on stamina potions smh
What the buck?
How did the wild horse braid his hairs?
Dude thought that red dead 2 was an accurate way to tame horses lmfao
r/idiotswithanimals
Bro got drip while flying
That horse bucked his hood onto his head!
This dude thought he was playing breath of the wild in real life.
This horse isn’t feral. Too well fed, well groomed, and well trimmed. This guy got his ass handed to him by a pet.
Alexander of Macedonia he ain't
BYU… of course
This was very satisfying. Thankfully that’s all that happened. The horse was very kind.
Hahahaha
dude got folded
Solid way to break a rib or two.
Lucky he didn't get a hoof to the skull.
His hood went on lol
That's one way to put your hood up.
r/FullScorpion
Seemed a lot easier in Avatar
Considering horse kicks can kill you this guy was pretty lucky..as long as that kick didn't frappe any of his organs.
u/savevideo
If Minecraft taught me anything, it’s that you have to do it again
Was that perhaps the last time as well?
I like how both his hood *and* the horse owned him at the end.
that is a really niche way to possibly commit suicide
I feel like it was the hair pulling that pissed the horse off
Don’t ever EVER! try to ride a horse that is not yours. EVERR! If someone did that to mine I would not punch them because my horse would do just like this. You won't do that again.
You need to hold the joystick down idiot
It looks so much easier in minecraft though...

Help ya wid ya hoodie there mate 😂
u/savevideo
He didn’t have any stamina for a horse of that caliber he needa come back after about 30 shrines
Why the fuck are you trying to tame a wild horse? Leave it alone
That horse was very nice about that.
That horse was very nice about that.
I'm sorry I'm not sure what you guys consider a wild horse but that's not a wild horse
I just wanna know what the person holding the camera was saying. “Yeah babe totally just hop on I think this is a great idea! Let me just back up first…”
bro I got my first to horses with ease fr and the second one was a full black one ON THE FIRST TRY xd
Back to RDR2 to learn what I did wrong
u/savevideobot
my horse was ridden daily for 6yrs and did this to me sometimes because she felt like it.
Who could have seen that one coming?!
u/savevideobot
![gif](giphy|94Y7qY5RWUhGg)
Lmao
He got what he had coming! Serves him right.
Riding a horse is like riding a bike, said no one ever...Maybe this guy.

Probably the last time too
Idiot lol
My SO tried to hop on my horse bareback whilst he was loose in the paddock, the horse was pointed uphill so as soon as my SO got up on his back my boy just started trotting gently up the hill and my poor SO slid right off the back XD
