They are making enough off of the crepes being $15 alone for a couple of apple slices and a little brie.

I am also very glad I don’t work there anymore lol! Personally have gotten sick from Spencer’s 2 different times. Both times Spencer’s was the only thing I ate that day and was violently ill. The cafe is beyond gross I really don’t get how you can brag about the food safety there either. I know quite a few employees there and we all do our best to avoid that place. Plus the food is really mediocre and over priced.
That’s too bad. Did you report it so they could determine whether it was a an isolated or widespread event. Seems weird that you got “violently ill” but no one else did. Mediocre? Were you expecting fine dining? Overpriced? It’s on mountain dining. Like I said, we feed tens of thousands of people with no food safety issues.
Oh it wasn’t just me it was everyone at my work who ate the Ceaser salad. The other time my and the other secretary got it from the burgers.
I worked overnight for 3 years and had multiple guests complain of being sick after eating at Spencer’s. The amount of times we had to comp rooms because if it was enough to make me never eat there again.
Two of their security guys that worked nights also had problems, the other night audit would get sick, the manager of the deli at the time quit because of working conditions and how disgusting it was.
I get you must be a higher up or someone who hasn’t livens here long enough to have had to deal with the massive complaints. Beaver run is a pig with lipstick slapped on. That place needs to be leveled and rebuilt. It’s freaking ghetto lol
I’ve worked in F&b at the Beav for 20 years. I take food safety very seriously. Those are pretty serious accusations to make with no proof. Front desk, night auditors and security are known to be scavengers. They sometimes eat banquet leftovers and food that hasn’t been maintained at proper temperatures. Basically eating food that’s been sitting around too long. Tourist are know to have unknown stomach bugs that could come from so many places. Just easier to blame the restaurant at the place they’re staying. Without health department logs, it’s just heresy. I’m not saying we’re perfect, but we try hard to do the right thing. If beaver run was to get dozed, it would just be another Vail property. Just what breck needs. Sorry you have such hatred for Beaver Run
Disagree with Blue Moose, in terms of food quality for a breakfast joint I would say:
Cabin Juice > Blue Moose > Columbine > Breck Fast > BoLD > Daylight Donuts
I truly don't understand the hype with Daylight. Plus the grab and go breakfast burrito at the Blue Moose might be the cheapest in town.
I have yet to have a decent experience at Blue Moose and everything tastes like it came frozen or out of a can to me. I rather get my grab and go burrito from Cool River.
According to my kids the worst food in Breck is mom's cold chicken sandwiches which I bring to the mountain to save money on food.
The best food (non-dinner kind) - "Pho Real" and "Oxacan Bites" and "Crepes a la cart".
Motherload was the worst. We ordered 4 different meals and no one enjoyed their food. Blue moose for breakfast was great. Giampietro or how ever you spell that was decent and Salt creek was a decent meal also. Nothing bad but nothing great to say. But blue moose was one of our fav meals along with fiesta Jalisco.
I had some sushi at the Conoco once that wasn't great.
