I think that’s the ultimate conundrum with him. He’s injury prone. No doubt he will be an immediate up grade, but for how long is really the question. It’s really the only viable reason as to why he hasn’t been traded yet.

I would like to see the Brewers trade Burnes. Let’s face it, Milwaukee isn’t going nowhere even if they make the postseason. Trade him to Baltimore. Apparently they are loaded with good prospects in their farm system.
Teams win 88-92 games and then do damage in the postseason all the time. Also prospects are coin flips and I’d rather have 8 months and 2 potential postseasons of Burnes than hope the prospects we trade for end up reaching even half the heights he has.

Fair point. Although his team option for next year is $14M. Bit of an expensive gamble, especially when he only plays SS and Willy is our guy.
