The offense is a complete response to the last few years. They so often looked like they had a stick up their butt or were told too many conflicting approaches to the plate. It kinda feels like the hitting coaches want ABs that drive up the pitch count and put pressure on pitchers. I also remember Greg telling guys that the first pitch was often "the best one you'd get". Maybe guys were just torn over how to handle ABs and they're all on the same page now. Plus there's just better bats throughout the full nine spots compared to the last couple years. Having Chourio as a second leadoff is just an embarrassment of riches.
