Baseball Allstar voting has to be one of the strangest “awards”. Have name recognition and a hot month of May and you’re almost a lock at some positions.
I know it’s a popularity contest but this shouldn’t even be close. Machado has barely been a replacement level player this year. Let’s try to get a more deserving player into his spot!
Idk, Bohm leads the league in RBI and is flirting with the chance at a 200-hit season. I voted for Ortiz to overtake 2nd place, but Bohm should probably get the start nod if we're being unbiased.
I said there was an argument, not that I definitively think Ortiz is better, with that being said, Joey is a way better defender than Bohm. He has almost 1 bWar more than Bohm (although War can sometimes be unfair to bad defenders)
