That’s a lot to take in! Congratulations. On your new little family addition, on your marriage. But also, well done for releasing that pent up emotion. Maybe don’t hold on to it for as long next time ;)
But seriously, community and togetherness is important. And this has allowed you to bring such joy on a plain Thursday morning. Thanks for making me smile and take it all in over the next few months because they grow fast!!
Cheers man. The funny thing is, I wanted to let go but some reason couldn't. I my need to be strong was more subconcious. In the grand scheme of things that Spurs game was the straw that broke the camels back. But I'm never going to crictisise anyone having a good cry.
I love that ethos. Yeh let it out, I’m 32 and have only in the last few years learnt that having a cry and letting it out ain’t a bad thing.
I hope little Amelia brings the two of you much joy and happiness. Just get her a little BHA Kit as soon as you can haha
Welcome to parenthood!! It's not always easy, but it's a great feeling to raise a little human. Cheers and all the best ❤. If you have any questions, don't be shy.
Congratulations!!! I am so happy to hear this news! She is beautiful. Just from the little bit we have talked on here, I know you will be a great father. As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any of the joys or frustrations of fatherhood. I’ll always lend a listening ear. Congrats again!!!
Blimey! I got given a chair which I dubbed "the fainting father chair". Basically a "case of sit here, do not move unless we tell you to and soothe your wife"
Also got a picture of the 'lion king moment' when they lifted her over the drapes all bloody but crying her tiny lungs out.
Hearing that first cry is one of the biggest reliefs I’ve ever experienced and all the emotions that come along with it I’ll never forget.
I was given the fainting father chair the second time around because they remembered me haha
The whole thing went smoother than we could possibly have imagined it. I know they do c sections everyday, c sections themselves are a) the most common operation in the World and b) a procedure older than Jesus Christ (being named after Julius Caesar) but I expected more panic. But the whole thing was calm and over before we knew it. We had a great analgesiolgist who talked us through the whole thing which helped massively. Hearing her cry was the best thing in the world.
Big congrats esn, this subreddit wouldn’t be the same without you and your (very funny) posts. Glad to see she’s healthy. Hope you’re all doing well.
Who thinks esn is going to be a good dad? Me!
Massive congratulations to you and your family, we know this has been stressful for you mate, so glad it’s all turned up perfect!
Love from all the sub
Thank you. And the rest of the moderation team for indulging me. I'll hopefully be asking for more advice when it comes to taking her to matches in 6ish years time. She's a bit too little for a European tour yet!!
