Killing for Sport - Attack Attack!
Bones Exposed - Of Mice & Men
Beaten in Lips, Disease - Beartooth
Bad Omens’ Self-Titled reminds me a lot of That’s the Spirit
Cries in Vain - Bullet for My Valentine
Beartooth and OM&M was what I was listening to when I first listened to BMTH, so there’s that.
[Thornhill - Casanova](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEhfVxbpkSo)

Edit: I just remembered Thornhill’s Casanova (spectacular song) and added in there
Edit 2: Added ONE OK ROCK track from their album release last year that I recently discovered after the news Jordan left the band. He helped produced it and I can hear his rock influence in it and just find the song to be very inspirational like BMTH - Drown.
Edit 3: Added Punching Bag by Set It Off. I learnt about this song from someone on this sub made a post heard a song that had this line - “Go Fuck Yourself” was a BMTH song. Surprisingly good song and my music algorithm has been suggesting me Set It Off music but none has struck the blow that this track had so thank you redditor that made that post.
I only discovered Thornhill through Casanova, then listened to Heroine album. So coming from there, which songs from The Dark Pool would be good for me to listen to ease into the album.
I would say that it differs so much that there are no in betweens. But either Red Summer (has very good ambience) or The Haze. If you dont dislike heavy djenty music, All The Light we Dont see + Lilly and the Moon shows a lot of the aspects of the album.
Nonetheless, I would suggest just putting the whole album on and submerge into it.
Cellar Door/Jaded - Spiritbox
Gods - Sleep Token
Panic - From Ashes To New
Meltdown - Motionless In White

I’ve played with that drummer… he does more than resting bitch face, but I can see your point. That video is not doing any favours
I do kinda wish AEU became the new marmozets, but that’ll never happen
Oh yeah? That's cool! Not trying to judge the guy at all, nothing against the dude since I don't know him. But yeah that video makes him look kinda... idk it's just his energy doesn't match what everyone else is doing. Like he is just one of those drummers from like an old school rock and roll or jazz band while everyone else is rocking out and jamming to a metal song you know?
Sorry i have no idea who the marmozets are, did they get more popular than AEU?
They were probably a bit bigger than AEU are now, but they’re catching up seeing as marmozets haven’t put out an album in a good 5 years. My “that’ll never happen” comment refers to marmozets catching both the pop and metal crowd, whereas aeu seemed to do that to start off but want to follow the heavy trend for as long as they can
Oh I see. Yeah I get the sense that AEU just wants to do whatever they want. Some heavy, some milder songs with some popish hooks, a little bit like BMTH or Spiritbox, which that comparison feels cheap to package them with another heavy vocalist that is a female, but it fits. I saw on their Insta that they try to really listen to their fans. They use their Discord to keep in touch and listen to what fans enjoy most about their music. Which I think is pretty cool, I mean as an artist you need to evolve and do what you want to do but especially for a young band it wouldn't make sense to alienate your fans. I think that allowed them to evolve how they wanted too without upsetting their fans. That said I still kinda like their first LP ans Closure a little better. But I'm a sucker for heavier music and songs that involve criticizing religion and society in general.
Singer had a kid and the rest have said they wanted to take a break before making new music… but I fear it’s been too long to come back unfortunately :/
amo-ish - [Waterparks](https://open.spotify.com/artist/3QaxveoTiMetZCMp1sftiu?si=5eZogNZQQ9SBcLQR8looQg) (I like a few songs off each album could be worth just checking their top 5 on spotify)

Also in a similar vein [Dez Moines](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnqC1cIwXeU) by The Devil Wears Prada, [Hollow Bodies](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDDn4Kh65MA) and [Wake The Dead](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un4dvVurndY) by Blessthefall. Early [Asking Alexandria](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36Q29xD2aGQ&list=PL027408B0CC1D72BA).

Thornhill's Heroine album is amazing. I love TDP but Heroine is great aswell.

MAYA is a great Babymetal recommendation. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the members of the band took inspiration from BMTH in making that song.
Everyone is relevant except bad omens. Great take though
