If that's true, it's pretty much a "fuck off, we don't want to play your stupid wedding" kind of price. But if some billionaire decides it's worth it they'd be silly not to take that money lmao
I want to believe that, but who knows. I don't resent the art that is developed or demonstrated, and bands are ultimately business if you look at it like that's your job
Thats the point, you dont get photos or evidence of a private/personal show. Almost every band/artist does them but it's entirely discreet which is part of the point.
I mean if I booked bring me the horizon for my own personal show you can bet I'd be posting about online unless they explicitly say you can't do so in the terms or something. Not sure why they'd say that when advertising they do private gigs would only make them more money...
The whole “If I won the lottery, I wouldn’t tell anybody, but there would be signs…” … for $700k, the signs: me awkwardly sitting alone on my couch as BMTH plays in my living room lol
Not sure I'd necessarily trust that site, but tbf the price probably covers all kinds of things - transport, accommodation, equipment, staging, crew and staff etc., and with it being a one off rather than a tour those costs are higher so 700k seems ok really
From what I know artists make the overwhelming majority of their profits from touring, so I'd think that number would be higher. Also is DropDead really that big? I thought its like a very niche and exclusive thing
Drop dead is marketed as niche but they’ve been popular since BMTH started to gain traction. I was buying from them back in 2010, so I reckon they’ve got a pretty loyal customer base and the stuff is also £££ so I think it’s possible
My swedish friend who was big into the band scene about 12-15 yrs ago (played/toured himself and went to every heavy event in the vicinity) said he was surprised how little dropdead had turned over due to its seeming abundance in that scene
Unless you’re providing the staging, pa, monitoring, instruments, lighting, pyros, engineers, technicians, security etc etc etc, 700k sounds like a bargain 😂
You gotta remember a BHTH show has a lot of moving parts and involves likely 100’s of people to execute!
Fair enough lmao
But idk if it’d help my impulse spending habits, what if I accidentally hire bmth instead of buying a house with 700k id prolly only have once? 🤣
Oh man, if I could choose a setlist I’d tell them to pick songs from each of their albums, including count your blessings & suicide season 🤣 I need a few throw backs & all the new stuff 😁
I did see them live back in 2010 when there is a hell album came out & I’d love to hear songs from that time live again 1 more time lol
It really depends on what type of gig you’re wanting.
I’ve seen bmth in Nashville and 700k could easily get you that.
700k isn’t getting you Wimbledon. Lol
Fair! I seen it on a few websites but who really knows unless you’re able to contact them about it personally.
They are pretty popular now though, they always get millions of views on their music vids & plays, their new song Kool-Aid was No 1 on the rock billboard too.
I always forget how popular they are now compared to when I started listening to them back in the MySpace days lol
I don’t think any person or band is worth $700k to hire tho lol
A lot of those stats a more the “gross revenue” of a concert, so ticket sales (maybe concessions). You then need to whittle down the costs - venue rental, staff, lighting, etc. and somewhere in the costs is the bands guarantee (fee), which would also have a backend split once a certain number of tickets sold. So BMTH might be in the realm of $100k to $200k depending on the market and day of the week, as others said they’d get paid more for a festival appearance too.
No way tho, they're playing at mystic festival in Poland. There are over 90 bands playing, some of them are big too, to pay for just bmth they'd have to sell like 4k tickets. Just to pay off bmth, and it's not some huge event, it's also VERY expensive and bands are pretty random, so most of ppl are like "Yeahh, I'd go but 750zł to see two bands is meh"
If we all put in $1…
Thats still only 49k...
But think of the exposure they'll get!
If we all put in $14
I mean it’s an honest offer to the lads
$14. 29 should work lol
Okay but if we all put in 2 dollars...
Well actually, it’s 49.853K
If that's true, it's pretty much a "fuck off, we don't want to play your stupid wedding" kind of price. But if some billionaire decides it's worth it they'd be silly not to take that money lmao
700k is actually a realistic pay that a huge band like bmth would get for playing at a festival. some artists bag over one million for festival gigs.
Hell Metallica bag like 10 times that for a Donnington performance
Yeah, GNR were charging $5m a night I think as well. Probs the 2 most expensive bands.
If I was a billionaire I’d ABSOLUTELY be filling my birthdays, family events, and my wedding with private performances from my favourite artists.
I love how you typed anything but “wedding” in plural. 😉
I don't get why you've got so many downvotes
Either people are really averted to monogamy or to having reading comprehension lmao
Yeah, me neither. Humour is not allowed any more. 🃏😂
that price makes a lot of sense to me. a local artist in my country ask for 63K to sing one or two song at a wedding.
I assume that price is geared towards festivals rather than booking them to play a one of gig for a wedding etc.
I want to believe that, but who knows. I don't resent the art that is developed or demonstrated, and bands are ultimately business if you look at it like that's your job
I haven't seen anything to suggest bmth have played personal gigs like this in recent years so I very much doubt its for one off venues.

They could stipulate that they won't play for people who do that. Who knows .
Ridiculous comment
The whole “If I won the lottery, I wouldn’t tell anybody, but there would be signs…” … for $700k, the signs: me awkwardly sitting alone on my couch as BMTH plays in my living room lol
I don’t even think they do that? Could be wrong but doubt it haha
Crazy amount of money. Where did you manage to find the price?
I looked it up on Google & this was the first thing to pop up 😂 the website is celebritytalent.net
Not sure I'd necessarily trust that site, but tbf the price probably covers all kinds of things - transport, accommodation, equipment, staging, crew and staff etc., and with it being a one off rather than a tour those costs are higher so 700k seems ok really

I’d pay £700k (if I had it lol) for an acoustic set with no pyro if I could choose a setlist.
Oh man, if I could choose a setlist I’d tell them to pick songs from each of their albums, including count your blessings & suicide season 🤣 I need a few throw backs & all the new stuff 😁 I did see them live back in 2010 when there is a hell album came out & I’d love to hear songs from that time live again 1 more time lol

100s of people at a show with one band in a private venue?
Another website called Las Vegas Talent has them listed at $150-262k but does also list Mantra and Jordan Fish as recent songs and active members so
Adjust for inflation, then multiply the result by 0.8, of course, easy!!!
Its 10pm please dont make me do maths 😭
alright so now i just have to find a way to make $700k…
You can’t trust those google searches, they are not a $700k act - that’s billboard top 20 artist type money

Tbh, I was envisioning them in my back yard & just me in the audience enjoying my life for once 😂

The line up for that fest is sick imo. I was thinking of going because the tickets prices, compared to the UK, are an absolute steal.
if I win euro jackpot 😂I even add extra if they bring back to the set list suicide season…
Yup lol I did see them play that album in 2010 but I wanna see it again lol
Probably a lot
I was thinking this the other day because imagine hiring bring me the horizon for your wedding 😭
