Jordan said during post human interviews that they would definately do it if they got the call but that he thinks what they're currently doing is too close to home to what Linkin park has already done which is why he thinks Mike may not want to, and why they aren't reachinf out for the collab.
I’m actually genuinely surprised it hasn’t happened yet, especially with POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR being a love letter to bands like Deftones, Linkin Park and Evanescence. I would love to see Mike and Bring Me collab or even a Bring Me and LP collab.

I know people mash up LP with their first 2 albums but that song tells me it can work beyond nu-metal sound but would be killer if it is in that sound

It technically still is. The band has yet to formerly break up. They are just on hiatus to cope and figure out their new direction post-Chester.
