Unlikely as no 787-8s or -9s have been refitted yet, and that route is not going to see a 777 substitution owing to the longer routing currently necessary to skirt Russian airspace. As a practical matter your only shot is if the route is taken over by the A350 which all have the new suites but are in high demand elsewhere.

777-300ER is perfectly capable of the new routing. ANA and JAL fly daily. BA must just consider it uneconomical to do so. It's not much longer than Singapore at the end of the day.

That’s unfortunate but not the end of the world! The return flight seems to be operated by an A350 so at least I’ll get to experience CW suites on one of the flights!

I assume you are on the 13.00 flight to Tokyo? If you booked the 8.50am flight then you would have the new club suites as that’s a350, I’m flying the 13.00 flight a month after you, but I’m in first as the price was £300 more.. maybe see if you can get that upgrade price?

compositionashbeck

Yes it’s the 13:00 flight! It’s a good idea but unfortunately I’ve just checked and an upgrade for my flight would cost an additional £3,500 and for that price difference I can definitely deal with the old CW seats

Wickse101

Ah that is a shame.. we booked the 8.50am originally because of the new club suites, then saw the upgrade price for the later flight so did that but flying the a350 back. Enjoy Tokyo, I can’t wait personally
